Hey SWRP!
It's been a while, but I decided to drop by. I'm not really here to stay... Instead, I've got something else up my sleeve.
A couple of you who talked to me back when probably knew I was into moviemaking - it was my degree and all, so I figure I'm not too shabby. After a (very) long rest from my last clustercuss of a crew, I'm looking for my next movie project.
The problem? I don't have a story! After wracking my brain I decided to go to the best bunch of writers I know. Unfortunately, they won't talk to me after 'the incident', so here I am! :)
Long story (haa) short, I'm looking for any stories, ideas, and concepts I can get from you guys. Right now, the sky's the limit - aliens, ghosts, Nazis, whatever you've got and want to share I'd be glad to talk about to help make the movie you want to see. A couple guidelines:
- I'm looking for a good story. While I'm open to doing comedy or horror, something that's more fun, adventurous, dramatic, or exciting is ideal.
- Let's avoid societal statements or political agendas, because those are kind of annoying.
- Stories should be able to adapt to the location: this will be shot around Southwest Ohio so avoiding beaches or deserts would be best.
- I'm aiming for anywhere from 45 minutes to a full length runtime. This means at least 45 pages worth of script and around five pages of a treatment (though at this point, story ideas alone are fine).
- No fanfic or copyrighted characters.
- These have to be your ideas and creations.
- Be open for changes, rewrites, and letting certain parts go to make a better movie.
I don't really have a deadline or schedule for production, but I'm hoping finding something really great will spur the crew I've got and get the ball rolling.
If you're interested and have ideas either message me here or get me on MSN (I'll jump on tonight). If you'd like to see a couple of other projects I've done, here's Sangre y Queso and a workprint of the currently unreleased PATOA (you guys are so lucky!).
Thanks SWRP, and hello to everyone I've missed!
