Trael had a smile on his face as Azar gave his own greeting after being introduced. While Azar and Mama Dolce seemed to be getting chummy, a prospect that slightly worried Trael, he caught up with his ‘brothers’. “You got us in trouble Trael.” Alfio and Moré pouted, “If you just introduced him when we asked who he was this would’ve all been avoided.” Trael rolled his eyes as they complained, “I thought the younger siblings were supposed to respect the eldest?” He said curiously.
Victor shook his head as the other three argued over their punishments. “All of you messed up.” Victor said dismissively, “Besides, it’s the first time Trael has been home in a decade. Let’s actually get along for once.” He said to the group, all three of the others lowered their heads in shame. Trael looked over to Victor, “How’s your wife? You still refuse to tell me who it is beyond the fact I know her.” Trael asked, “You’re going to meet her so it doesn’t matter anymore. She’s doing great. Baby number two will be here soon.” Victor informed Trael. Trael’s face was of utter shock at the mention of a second child. He didn’t even know there was a first one. “When did you become a dad? Why didn’t you tell me?” Trael asked with genuine confusion, “Two years ago. I couldn’t get a hold of you to tell you.”
Mama Dolce gave Azar a soft smile as he praised Trael to her. Especially when he mentioned that she raised him well, “He listened well, but was the most difficult of them all.” She mused, “He was always getting into trouble. I think he felt since everyone viewed him as a monster he might as well be one.” She said with a solemn tone, “I’m just happy he found someone that he could let his walls down with. He’s never looked so at peace.” She stated smiling while looking at her three sons arguing over something. The sight took her back to when they were all teenagers, Trael would always convince the others to join him on an escapade of some sort. The younger boys were all too happy to follow him, and he made sure they made it back home for dinner.
The guys continued catching up. After a bit they started to get into a heated argument over who was the better child. Each one had their own opinion on why they were the best. Suddenly both Trael and Victor jumped up cursing. They ran over to Azar and Mama Dolce, they both gave Mama Dolce a peck on the cheek. “We have to go now if we’re to make it to the festival. If not we’ll be walking an hour just to get there.” Trael said with an urgency as he remembered how packed it was when he was younger. He grabbed Azar by the hand, “I’m sorry we’ll visit her house later if you want but we have to leave.” He said to Azar as he gently pulled him to leave.
Trael opened the door of the speeder for Azar to get in as Victor got it fired up and ready to go. Trael climbed in after Azar and Victor punched it as much as he could without getting in trouble. With a decent drive through the city Victor turned the radio on. Him and Trael both immediately gasped as the song began playing. The both of them singing along as they drove through the city.
