Arter III/Around orbit

Arter 3 was a planet Mid never heard about in his life. Imperial records say that there are rumours surrounding the name that said it was discovered in the time before hyperspace was even possible but then just got lost through the ages. Whatever the truth may be, one thing was certain...next to nothing is known about it. Imperial records barely had enough info on it to give precise coordinates, although there was no shortage on info on what kind of valuables could be found here. It seemed the planet is rich in Tibanna, Phriktite and other valuable raw materials. Although it was strange as to why no one could give a reason at to why there hasn't been a mining colony established, the lack of Imperial presence would count in the favour of both him and Darth Victress.

He only mentioned the idea on the fly while talking to her over a plan for a mission, but he was properly taken back when she wanted more information on his idea. They were to find people on the surface that know the location of a Phriktite mine and load up enough of the valuable metal to sell for enough money to expand their arsenal with a few less-than-legal weapons that could prove useful in the long run. For this task they were aboard Mid's personal freighter, The Scarlet Fever. It was a common freighter with enough storage space for all the Phriktite they would need, though currently all that was located in the cargo hold was two 88V-Ranger speeders in case they needed to do a bit of driving.

Mid's droid was piloting the ship and they were on their way to enter the atmosphere. They were currently seated in the recreation area of his ship, busy with their own thing. "I'll be honest, I'd be surprised if the natives of the planet even know what a starship is. Records state that the standard technological level is below the galactic average. I just hope they speak galactic basic at the very least." Mid perked up with a light chuckle as he polished his helmet with a cloth.

Darth Victress was seated in the recreation area as well, all of Black Hades on her with exception of the helmet as she preferred to indulge on whatever wine Mid had decided to stock on the Freighter prior to their departure. She was mildly amused, her tastes slightly different than the pureblood though she supposed that perhaps with the right amount of guidance, she could shift his preferences towards her liking. The air around the dark lord saturated with vile and corrupted power, signifying the immense force ability that she possessed. Adorably tiny compared to the large Pureblood, it would be foolish though for anyone to simply judge her based on appearance alone.

She smirked at his comment, "Ironic how the most primitive of worlds can often times be the most valuable..." She said, though their silence afterwards was disrupted by one of the co-pilot Droids. Speaking in a series of beeps and flashes, "Current coordinates have us land roughly in the middle of desert, sir...is this correct?" It asked. Victress had left a majority of the planning towards Mid, it seemed the pureblood was quite fond of finding rare treasures and creating expeditions to claim them.

Mid looked up from his helmet as Lady Victress spoke. He looked at the rather cheap bottle of red wine on the table then back to her. "My apologies for the less than stellar selection of drink, my lady. I prefer a more...stiff selection of beverages, but I'll try to get something more proper next time for you. I hear Alderanian wine is quite a superb choice of drink." he spoke casually, trying to relieve the silence between them.

The droid came up and asked about their location of landing. "It is correct. If Imperial records are anything to go by then there should be a town of sorts close to there. Perfect place to..." he was interrupted when the ship started shuddering heavily. Mid got up and walked to the cockpit. "We can't be hitting the atmosphere already..." he muttered softly to himself. When he peered out the cockpit window his eyes went wide. "Solar flare! Brace for-" he was thrown into a wall as the solar flare collided with the ship and hit it off course. Mid's unprotected head slammed into a wall and to the floor as he was thrown around, dazing the Pureblood and almost knocking him out.

The ship went hard into the atmosphere, its armour plating burning off and exposing various parts of the ship. The Scarlet Fever hit the ground, bounced off the desert floor and finally crashed with its nose dug into the sand. The final crash sent Mid flying into a wall, knocking the air out of him entirely. He finally managed to get up a few minutes after the crash, trying to regain his breath as well as holding onto his right arm which hurt like hell. He stumbled back to the recreation area as he clutched his fractured upper arm. "My lady! Are you alright?!" he called out weakly as he looked in the dimly lit room for her.

The ship was in tatters. Panels were thrown around and exposed wires threw sparks every now and then. Almost all the primary systems were shot to hell and without the proper materials, fixing it up would be an almost impossible task. At least its overall structure was intact, showing off perfectly how well CEC can build a ship.

Arianna smirked at Mid's comments regarding the beverages, taking a sip of the wine before she responded. "Yes, Alderaans are known for their liquor, I hear they use special distilleries to brew and purify the water prior for consumption.." She spoke. As the Droid's voice echoed through the comm channels, she allowed Mid to deal with it. Piloting ships wasn't really one of her strengths and she definitely had no interest in learning about it now.

She heard him scream briefly before they made impact, the blow from the flare knocking their vessel off course as it shuddered into the atmosphere before coming to a scratching halt on the ground. The impact hurled her from the chair, only a gasp of shock releasing before she slammed against the wall and slumped onto the unwelcoming floor. Lights momentarily dimmed from brief electrical failures, open circuits in the walls spewing out current as the cords dangled loosely. After the ship's reboot, the systems returned back online as flashing LED and computer monitors restarted. Slightly dazed, she heard Mid's call out for her, rising to the full height with a hand on the back of her head. "Yes, I'm fine..Did we just strike surface?" She asked.

Mid stumbled through the debris and parts lying all over the floor, careful to stay clear of the exposed live wires. The lights came on and he saw her rise to her feet and holding the back of her head. "Yeah, we struck surface, but the ship sustained heavy damage. That bloody flare hit us off course, I hope the navicomputer survived the crash, otherwise we might have a problem finding out where we crashed." he spoke as he looked around.

He moved through the room, looking for their helmets. He found both under a bunch of debris and tried to picked it up, but growled as pain shot through his right arm and into his body. He instead switched to using the force to pick up the helmets and place them on what was left of the table. "Where the hell is that medpack?" he muttered as he moved back to the cockpit, looking for the first aid kit for them to use. As he fiddled with a kolto pack and tried to make a makeshift sling for his arm, he checked the state of the cockpit. The navicomputer's screen was cracked all over but still functional. "Well we're off course, but it could have been worse. We're a couple miles west of where we were supposed to land, should be a few days' hike to the nearest village." he spoke loud enough for Victress to hear.

He walked back to the recreation room to get his helmet. "I'll go check outside, see how bad the damage to the ship is." and with that he walked over to the exit and lowered the ramp that was still working perfectly fine somehow.
