I haven't been here too terribly long. I am still in that mind frame of "Omg, I really need to talk to this person but I sound like Queen Noob and I bet this person really thinks I'm annoying even though they RP with me." And then the list of reasons why I'm annoying start to build up until I am convinced that I am a horrible person. Just some paranoia I need to get over.
But I made some quick friends with StormWolf, Fyston, Fundamental, and Fusion. I have a lot of respect for the people I've had run-ins with, but haven't gotten the nerve to communicate off the boards via Skype or IM.
I really enjoy my time here. Everyone has been very helpful and I look forward to getting better at this RP business.

Don't ever be afraid to ask for help, most of the people on here are very helpful. There are a few things you should know and shouldn't be afraid to ask. I'm always up for talking and discussing what I've learned so far from here. So don't be nervous about sounding like an idiot, there's no stupid questions, only stupid people.
Believe me, people used to find this place a lot more intimidating, Bac will tell you. We had people quitting the site for months about two years back due to 'intimidation'. It was all pretty silly.
If you're impressed or intimidated by a writer, BOMBARD THEM WITH QUESTIONS. Every single one of them will be courteous enough to answeer.

To be honest I was terrified of you for the longest time.

Lol, well that and threatened intellectually. I guess that was what I felt at first about this site...then I realized I was COMPLETELY wrong, for the most part.
I guess you have certain expectations when you visit a forum that was founded by Star Wars fans, a forum that almost exclusively caters to others fans too. It's only when people actually start to post here, that they realise there's a little bit more to it than that. And a little bit more to the members too.
