Yes, yes, I know. Almost everyone hates the prequels. Almost. And a lot of people like to bash the prequels at every chance they get. While George retrospectively did more wrong than right, we should take the time to point out what he did in fact do right. Instead of using this thread to bash the prequels, (I request this thread is bash-free, please. However, that does not mean I don't want you to disagree with someone when you think something was bad and they thought it was good, I just mean don't go around mindlessly insulting every part of the prequels) we should use it to instead commemorate the prequels on what they did right.
I'm just going to write about the first thing that popped into my head, because I don't feel like writing a whole lot right now.
In my opinion, a scene that stuck with me to the end was the scene in ROTS. I think it was actually called Padme's Ruminations, titled after the soundtrack piece which was playing out during the scene. It wasn't very long, I'd say 20-25 seconds, but man did it leave a lasting impression on me. It just laid the inevitable demise of the Republic out there right in front of you, and Natalie Portman did a beautiful job acting out the scene, at least from my point of view. I think Hayden Christensen did a decent job as well, and you could clearly see both characters were under a lot of emotional stress.
What do you guys think? Agree/Disagree with me? What are some of the things you liked about the prequels, if anything?
