After all these years, the Brentaalan could still remember the first time he'd begun to train himself-- in every manner of discipline, in fact. A few things had defined his life over the past decades, and when he wasn't obsessing over the pursuit of wealth, ruminating on his desire to see anyone who called themselves Sith dead or as fas away from him as possible, or indulging in any manner of debauchery to satisfy his hedonistic tendencies, the Brentaalan was, every day, every week, of every month in every year, when able-- training.

He'd first been taught how to pickpocket-- a skill he seldom indulged in anymore, what with him no longer needing to steal just to put food on his plate. That had been followed, years later, with literacy-- something he'd spent hours every day trying to comprehend without any instruction, yet it was well worth it. Literacy opened up a number of different opportunities to him, namely in acquiring study material for what he'd train himself in next. Simple instruction books on combat-- how to shoot straight, how to hold a blade, and most importantly in his early years, how to throw a punch.

All of it had served as the foundations for his skills. Ofcourse, his hours spent in the gym were a different matter. Everything else he'd taught himself-- or been taught, in the case of his teachers and master on Yavin-- had come from an almost entirely practical perspective. Words were everywhere, so he'd learned how to read them. He got into fights, so he wanted to learn how to win them. A saber had found its way into his hand, so he wanted to learn how to use it. The Brentaalan, volatile and flamboyant as he was, had always been able to put such tendencies aside when the need, or even intense want, arose.

But it hadn't been that thinking, practical man that had led him to start lifting weights. Sure, the gym helped him run faster, exert himself for longer, and punch much, much harder, but those had all been secondary notions in his mind. He'd spent his entire life staring at statues of his purported ancestors, all boasting about great works or accomplishments-- and carved in the style of Gods, their bodies idealized and shown off. All appeared young and beautiful, all had perfect proportions, and all had strong bodies with well-defined muscle.

Had he known such sculptures had often been carved well after the subject's youth had faded and their physiques, which very rarely actually lived up to the art, were covered in layers of fat and wrinkled skin, he might've put those notions aside. But, those men and women were called Tannaras. He, and his mother, called him Tannaras. If a Tannaras was supposed to look young, handsome, and carry themselves with a physique that would take a strict diet and hours of work every day to achieve, he would do exactly that. Surely, nobody would doubt that he was who he said he was if he looked the part.

Even after he'd forgotten such naive notions the boy man never given up his obsession to achieve what was, in his mind, physical perfection. He'd spent hours in the gym on his ship, every single day, sticking to his routine and cataloguing everything he ate or drank. The results were undeniable, and even though his crippling insecurity kept him from showing any of it off directly, the Brentaalan had found other ways to demonstrate what he was capable of.

The crunch of bone beneath his fists was something the Brentaalan had gotten used to over the years. A long time ago he'd found it satisfying, but his master had long discouraged those kinds of feelings. She hadn't been able to suppress all the satisfaction that came from combat though-- namely, Ephiny had never managed to make him stop enjoying the gratification that others gave him when he won a fight. It wasn't her fault-- all the fights the Brentaalan had won on Yavin were sparring matches, and he wasn't being praised for beating people to a pulp, but instead for demonstrating his skill.

That wasn't really the case right now, though.

When he was done with the Mirialan who'd climbed into the ring to face him, his hands were utterly soaked with the man's blood. Green had bled through the fabric, and it took two full rinses to clean up. The crowd had roared when he'd laid into the younger man, and to his credit, he'd managed to stay standing for far longer than the Brentaalan had expected. That had had the unfortunate side effect of taking far more blows than he otherwise would have suffered if he'd just gone down when the fight had obviously been lost, but the alien had persisted, defiantly holding his balance until a rib was broken and his face looked like it had been hit by a speeder.

The victory pot was small, and while Laeonas might have once eye the pot greedily, Laeo also didn't really need it's contents-- not all of it, anyway. As well as that, when he glanced down at the Mirialan he'd beaten, he couldn't help but feel impressed. "Give the guy half the pot-- enough to get a dip in some bacta, and to pay for a few lessons so I don't knock him on his ass again next time!" He'd loudly shouted into the microphone, much to the surprise-- and roar of approval-- from the crowd. It felt good-- really, really good, actually. The eyes, the attention. They were calling out his nickname-- "Raven," for his hair.

If he could, he would've just stood there and bathed in the chanting and applause for an hour-- maybe even a day.

--------

It took awhile for him to get back out from the arena and into the broader club area again. His opponent wasn't the only one who'd needed medical treatment-- the man had been fighting for hours, and he'd suffered a number of bruises and scrapes that the medical droids said needed to be taken care of. He didn't much mind them-- he'd suffered far worse, as evidenced by the prosthetics in his wrist and thigh, and the numerous scars all over his body. When all that was done, the Brentaalan was finally able to bathe, washing off hours of stench. He'd slipped out of his fighting clothes and into something a bit more fitting, before finally making his way out.

He wasn't recognized immediately-- the man was no longer covered in blood, he'd done up his hair, and he was wearing a completely different outfit, but when one noticed him, a few more did, and soon, there were people actually coming over to talk to him. He'd smiled, coolly answered questions-- one Pantoran girl even asked for a picture with him. His excitement over the positive attention radiated off of him, and to the others around him, it was infectious, a feedback loop of positive energy jumping between him and those impressed enough by his performance to come and talk to him.

This was going to be a good night.

Nyxia hung around in the back. She was on a ‘vacation’, but Nyxia rarely took time for herself. She was eying the fighters. She had already fought and then won, but not many had bet on her so she had won very little credits. Now she was placing bets on other fighters. She was very quiet and therefore more observant, so the people she bet on always won.

She was getting ready to leave now. She would stop to see her mother on her way back to give her the money she had earned. She hadn’t been able to cover her horns and her tail swung nervously behind her. Her eyes darted around, never lighting somewhere for long. She was used to the disdainful looks thrown in her direction, but it didn’t mean she enjoyed them.

She heard a gradual build of noise slightly to her left, and turned her head. People were gathering around a man, someone she didn’t recognize.

"You wanna watch me beat on teenagers all night?" He asked, glancing over at the Ithorian who'd made the suggestion. "Ofcourse not, but you could be a godsdamned champion! You hop back in the ring and all my money's down on you!" He declared, prompting a rise of voices in agreement. "I thought I'd already beaten the last winner tonight-- anyone else was green as grass!" He snapped back. "Put me up against someone who might actually land a hit-- I'm not gonna lay into another kid whose in over his head."

The few bloodmongers and courtesans surrounding him seemed to murmur in agreement. If Laeonas just kept getting matched against people without as much skill, less and less people would be interested. Keeping the matches even would keep people betting-- and the Brentaalan would have a victory that was more than an uneven farse. He'd come here for a challenge-- reassurance that he was as capable as he believed he was.

One of the bloodmongers, a larger trandoshan, would glance around, looking for a seat. The table around the Brentaalan was full, so the man would glance around until he made his way to the one next to him-- where the Tiefling was sitting, alone and unbothered. He ordered a drink from a passing waitress, glancing a few times at the tiefling, eye slits narrowing before they lit up in recognition. "You... you're the devil girl who beat my fighter..." he observed, those eye slits narrowing.

"You cost me a lot of creditsssss..." he hissed, before glancing over at Laeonas, who was busy downing a tankard of Corellian ale. "...how's about you and I try to make it back?" The Reptilian asked, a toothy grin spreading across his face. "I just thought you were sssssome demon from nowhere, but you've obviously got sssskill." He went on, before once again turning to look at Laeonas. "He'sssss got a lot of ssssskill to-- I'm interested in sssseeing which of you hasss more... if you fight him, I'll put my chipssss down on you-- and if you win, I'll give you... five percccent." He offered-- a rate half the normal commission.

Nyxia had been called a devil girl and much worse names before, but it didn't mean it still didn't hurt when a stranger told her this, eyeing her with disgust. She kept silent, willing her face to stay expressionless. She was not one to raise to the bait in anger, she was much more likely to apologize and back away. What she didn't expect, however, was the reptilian to suggest he fight for her.

Nyxia's morals said 'hell no' but that weak part of her mind was turning the idea over. The extra credits certainly wouldn't hurt. She wasn't confident, but she knew she was an ok fighter; maybe she had a chance at beating the man the reptilian was talking about. She took a longer look at him. She was horrible with names but she thought he was Lay-something or other. She had noticed him earlier and had even bet on him to win. Her already shaky confidence faltered. Her chances of beating him in a fight were quite low, but she found herself already sizing him up and calculating how she would fight him and which maneuvers she would execute. She glanced at her hands and then back up at him.

She turned back to the reptilian. "I'll do it," she said softly but firmly.

The bloodmonger's lips curled up in what approximated a grin, canines gleaming as he slowly stood up. "Very good." He whispered, before calling, "I HAVE YOUR OPPONENT!"

At that, The Brentaalan's gaze would fall on the table across from him, aquamarines lighting up before he slowly rose to his feet. Walking over, a frown slowly formed across his lips. "I said I didn't want to fight another green teen." He replied flatly, glaring at the trandoshan bloodmonger. "Thisssss isn't ssome fool whose mettle hasn't yet been tesssted! She's already won a match-- more than a worthy challenge." The alien declared.

Laeonas' eyes fell on the horned girl, narrowing slightly, before lighting up in recognition. "So she has," he said, "You put that guy in his place for all the drivel he spat at you." He declared, smirking slightly. "Let's put on a show, alright?" He said in a friendly tone. "Maybe this one might actually knock me down!" Laeonas called, prompting a roar of excitement from the crowd. At that, he turned to head back to the locker room, ready to get back into his fighting fatigues.

The Trandoshan could barely contain the excitement on his face, though his reptilian features made him much harder to read. Truth be told, it was a win win for him-- either the devil beat the overconfident human and won him a hell of a lot of money, or he'd get to watch the little demon get beaten to a bloody pulp. Even with how gracious the Brentaalan had been for most of the evening, he was absolutely merciless in the ring.

"Good luck," the trandoshan declared, a sinister grin on his lips.

Nyxia swallowed her fear and put on an intimidating look. It wasn't very hard; people already scooted their chairs away from her and hid their children. She heard the whispers of "devil" and "demon girl" and tried to let it feed her anger.

Nyxia was beginning to doubt she would even win this match as she walked to the pit after briefly changing. Her legs seemed to be numb and her face was expressionless. She could feel panic creeping up on her as the new match was called. She forced herself to take deep breaths as she squared up with the man she was supposed to fight.

As usual the Brentaalan took long to prepare. Even applying a light layer of makeup and slipping back into his fighting fatigues, people were left waiting for the next match for an unusually long period of time. Only when some people started murmuring did the lights darken, and the announcer shout, "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, TURN YOUR ATTENTION TO THE RING!" The voice shouted, which already prompted cheers.

"You know him for the staggering win streak he's had tonight, bringing down opponent after opponent! Put your hands together for the one and only, LAEONAS FAE'ONNAG!" He shouted, prompting thunderous applause as the Brentaalan made his way back onto the stage, the tight fitting outfit he wore doing little to hide the knots of muscle that ran along his back, torso and legs.

"But who could possibly put an end to his reign of terror?! Who could dethrone tonight's king in the ring? What man, what woman, would be brave enough, CRAZY enough, to stand against him?!" The man in the mic shouted. It was all theatrics-- Laeonas' win streak was impressive by the standards of the barely professional, low profile dive they were in, but he was hardly on the level of legends like the Mysterious Stranger.

"Well, sentients of all kinds, I ask you to turn your attention to the other corner of the ring to find your answer!" He called, to which a spotlight fell on Nyxia, standing nervously for all to see. "This here girl, already winning a match of her own, has decided to bring down our coreward champion!" He called. Some in the crowd recognized her, some insults were thrown out, but a few still managed to seem excited regardless. "Put your hands together for NYXIA STARFELL!" He shouted, finally prompting an applause, albeit muted.

"Being the challenger, Nyxia shall deliver the first blow! Will our champion be able to defeat this interloper, or will the upstart girl take the crown from his head, after beating it into a bloody pulp?!" He called, prompting an uproarious applause from the crowd.

"BEGIN!"

Nyxia did her best to put on a brave face when the spotlight landed on her. Laeonas definitely had a flair for the dramatic, and standing there in her plain black fighting fatigues, she felt much smaller. The insults thrown at her did not help matters any, either. She took deep breaths, and clenched and unclenched her covered hands. Her dark purple hair was still pulled into a tight braided crown from her first fight, and she leaned forward a little, balancing her weight between her feet. She had the first blow. She had to make it count.

Pressing a button on the inside of her wrist, she ignited the invisible magnetic field over her guantlets. She charged forward and aimed the pointed end of her tail at his side. Whether she managed to stab him or not didn't matter; it would distract him enough for her to reach up and grab either side of his head and bring it down on her knee with a nasty crunch. She would immediately shove his head backwards and back away quickly, preparing for his counter attack.

While the announcer bellowed, Laeonas' eyes trailed over his opponent. She was shorter, much smaller-- he had that advantage at least. He assumed he had more experience, but she wasn't green either. He didn't know what her tail could do, but he'd heard that her kind could use it like an appendage, so he'd watch out. It was when his eyes flicked back up that he noticed her fingers clicking around her wrists, and aquamarines would light up for a moment. The gloves she wore... had he ever seen anything like them? Maybe once, twice.

They seemed typical combat gloves though, and he didn't question it.

She came at him with a straightforward charge, a typical assault, but his eyes would widen as her tail came flying at him. "Eh?!" He exclaimed, though he grinned as it flew past him as he turned side profile to avoid her cut. She tried grabbing at his head, but he would bend at the waist and lean back. There was an excited look in the Brentaalan's eyes, and almost a manic grin on his lips. He'd been fighting all night, and yet already this girl was proving a more exciting opponent.

Kicking one foot back, the Brentaalan would support himself before lurching forward, his arm shooting from his upper body and hoping to collide with the Tiefling's jaw. His other arm came up in a block around his torso so she didn't get any ideas about taking him in a grapple.

While her attack hadn't exactly been successful, at least she had managed to surprise him, and she was prepared for Laeonas' retaliation. He managed to duck both her tail and her grab for his head and her mind raced as she came up with a counter-attack. She saw his fist come for her jaw as if in slow motion, and dropping to the side, she extended her leg to hit his back leg from the front, adding to the additional weight he was putting forward to swing a punch.

Whether or not he toppled forward, Nyxia would land on her forearm and immediately tuck her legs underneath her, in case he fell towards her. She would push up from the ground and be on her feet once more. Her Matukai gauntlets still charged the invisible magnetic field as she brought her arms up to cover her torso.

It seemed like the tiefling insisted on impressing him further. Her defense was fairly impressive, falling to the side and dodging his attack-- but with the angle she'd dropped from and the lack of leverage in her new position, Nyxia would find that her kick to his leg was hardly as effective as she assumed it would be. While it was supporting much of the Brentaalan's weight, her position and attack was hardly enough to cause him to stumble-- though as her heel connected with his shin, the older man could only wince in pain.

Twisting to his side and spinning on his forward leg, Laeonas would turn back to the tiefling. She was good-- using her smaller frame and superior agility was the natural counter to his aggression, but she wasn't that much quicker than her. No sooner did the tiefling pull up her guard than Laeonas would leap forward, fist colliding with the girl's guard, and his eyes would widen as he pulled his fist back. It felt less like he was punching forearms and more like he had just slammed his fist into a wall.

But it only deterred him for a moment. He threw another blow, and another, his blows seeming to bounce off the girl's gloves. It didn't even feel like he was hitting her, per se-- no, it felt more like his fists wee slamming against something between them. It was bizarre to say the least, and after a few blows Laeonas would pull back, falling into a defensive stance.

While her attacks were mostly unsuccessful, Nyxia did recieve a rare surge of pride when Laeo's punches bounced off her invisibile magnetic force field, doing nothing more than cause her to move a little as his punches became more intense. She was surprised he hit at her for so long before he finally decided he wasn't doing anything and took a step back.

Not waiting for him to catch his breath, she took a couple quick steps forward and aimed three punches at him rapid fire- one at his lower gut near his naval with her right hand, an uppercut at the base of his jaw with her left hand, and the last one was directed at the side of his head, over his ear. These punches were made all the more stronger by the gloves on her hands. All the while, her tail was arcing behind her and would attempt to jab him in the lower back, at the base of his spine.

Whether or not all of these attempts were successful, he would thoroughly distracted, and just as quickly as the other attacks had come, Nyxia would do a back handspring, making sure to extend her legs in an attempt to catch him under the jaw and kick his head back, hopefully also catching him in the chest.

She landed with a bounce and in a second had her arms in front of her torso again, preparing for a counterattack.

Three blows, aimed for different parts of his body, firing off in a succession that even he had to admit was frighteningly quick. He hardly even had time to get into a stance before they started flying, and if he weren't as well trained as he was, Nyxia would've brought him down there and then.

But the tiefling was about to realize, if she hadn't already, that the man before her wasn't some ordinary pit fighter.

He swung his torso to the left to avoid the blow going towards his navel, twisting his body and throwing his head back as the punch from her left failed to connect as well, and than he let gravity take him into a fall, throwing himself down to avoid the punch that would've been directed at his ear. Her tail swung through the air as he tucked and rolled to the side, springing to his feet and launching himself at her.

In the middle of the handspring that would've easily collided with his head had he not dropped, The Brentaalan swung his leg back and than into her side, hoping to knock the breath out of her and send her tumbling. Whether or not the blow landed he would descend on her, reigning blow after blow directed at her head, trying to punch past her defenses and grab one of her horns to yank her into a chokehold. If he couldn't land it he would batter into the force field of her gloves, trying to probe it for any possible weaknesses.

Nyxia seemed to be run by a motor- she showed no disappointment at not being successful and little exhaustion. She saw his leg swing towards her side almost in slow motion as she descended from her handspring and let it happen. His leg hit her side and knocked her off balance and she fell to the side, her back on the floor of the pit.

Like a rabid animal descending on its prey, Laeonas lunged for her, his hands reaching out for her head. Once more, Nyxia let it happen; releasing an 'oomph' as he landed on top of her with his entire body weight. As he grabbed for her horns, she wrapped her arms and legs around him and locked them, preventing him from pulling back. While he was held against her, she reached her tail around him once more and stabbed the base of his spine with such ferocity that if by some highly unlikely chance he managed to miss it, his back would still get lacerated. She dug her hands into his back, using the enhanced power the gloves provided as she pressed tighter, as if intending to crush a metal can.

Meanwhile, his hands landed on her horns, which had their own defenses- they were tipped with a metal that looked like gold and was dangerously sharp and she had painted a viscous poison onto her horns so no matter where Laeo grabbed, if his hands were bare, they would come in contact with the poison. She had taken gradually increasing dosages of the poison until she was mostly immune to it, so she felt no pain when it came in contact with her skin.

Laeonas' fighting style had always been based on overwhelming his opponents with his precision and speed, and finally, it seemed as if he'd succeeded. Powering through the Tiefling's defenses, she was slammed into the floor of the ring. Finally, he had her-- until he felt her wrapping around him. Aquamarines widened, but before he could protest he felt the woman's tail tearing across his back. Her grip on his back was like iron, and as her tail left a giant laceration, a roar of pain erupted from the man's throat.

Yet his grip on the girl's horns hadn't faltered. He hardly noticed how sticky they were through the basic combat gloves he'd thrown on, replacing the hand wraps that he'd ruined during the last match. As she locked him in place, it became nearly impossible to move the rest of his body-- but above his shoulders, he was free to move, and she wasn't.

Throwing his head back, he brought his forehead down against her own in a headbutt that would either knock one of them out, or both of them.

Nyxia had finally been successful, and while she did not revel in Laeonas' roar of sincere pain, she was relieved. The crowd seemed more split and credits changed hands faster than before. A fight hadn't gone on this long in a while and the crowd was going wild.

Nyxia knew the poison on her horns hadn't affected him when she felt his gloved hands wrap around them, effectively holding her head in place. As he moved, Nyxia suddenly knew what he was going to do and her panic surged when she realized there was nothing she could do- if she released her hold on him he could do worse damage to her but with her grip still firm, she could not move to defend herself, either. His grip on her horns also prevented her from moving her head to dodge him. The very least she could do was move her hands down his back and dig her fingers into the fresh wound she had just caused while also using her tail like a dagger and stabbing other spots on his exposed back: between his shoulder blades, his left oblique muscle, and where the back of his neck curved. All stabs were rapid fire, and in her panic, liable to miss the spot.

If her attempt to distract him from bashing her head in worked, he was still likely to hit her head with his own and then both of them would be disoriented, but hopefully not knocked out.

The crowd faded into the background as he focused on his opponent, pinned beneath him and struggling to move. He was in terrible pain from her cuts, which had slashed deep along his back, cutting his top to ribbons and leaving blood to soak along what was left. He didn't falter though-- that was until she began to furiously start cutting. There was no roar this time, but a scream as his back was terribly lacerated, and it grew higher in pitch as her fingers dug into the open flesh. Pain on a level he hadn't experienced before shot through his body.

But his grip only tightened, even as she cut into the skin over the muscled that gripped. His scream turned into a defiant cry, and he brought his forehead down against hers.

...

For a moment, all he saw was stars on a white field. He was looking up at the ceiling when his vision began to clear, the white replaced with red. He was bleeding from where his head had cracked against hers, and as his head turned to his side he would see her as well. He could barely move, but as he tried, he would throw an arm at her-- but rather than collide with her face as intended, it would just smack into her shoulder, feebly.

Nyxia's attempt hadn't stopped him. Despite the pain she could feel coming off of him and hear in his screams, it only made him more determined. She barely had time to blink before his forehead collided with hers.

...

Nyxia took longer to come around; it was a weak smack against her shoulder that brought her back. She could hear the shrieks of the crowd as the two fighters lay side by side next to each other, one weakened and significantly injured, and the other still apparently unconscious. Nyxia kept her eyes shut, her breathing still slow. She waited to see if Laeonas would attempt to continue attacking her. She narrowed her focus- the pounding in her head dulled, and she could feel a warm trickle of blood slide from her temple and between her nose and eye and then down over her cheek, so it looked as if she was crying blood.

The officiator started counting seconds; Nyxia was on her back and not moving and if she didn't get up before he got to ten, Laeonas would win. Technically Laeo was on his back as well, but he was still fighting. Nyxia listened.

Four.

She fully expected Laeo to attempt to continue fighting back, to do what little he could to keep Nyxia on her back.

Seven.

With her eyes closed, her other senses sharpened.

Nine.

Right before the officiator could say the final ten, Nyxia rolled over to her side and onto her forearm, splaying her hand on the ground of the pit floor to push off so she landed on top of Laeonas. The sudden additional body weight on his already extremely sensitive torso would likely knock him out and if it didn't, Nyxia would wrap her gloved hands around his neck and press pressure points on either side of his neck, knocking him out.

If she somehow missed the points, then she would lock her grip on him once more, and move one hand down to the side of his torso where his flesh was still pumping blood.

The crowd was reeling as the two combatants clashed, the brutality on display especially brutal. They'd seen bones shatter and bodies be pulled out on stretchers before, but the animalistic savagery that the human had displayed as he tried to claw out a victory was nothing like they were used to. The tiefling's response had been just as bloody, and the crowd actually seemed relieved when the both of them went down.

A few, of course, were loving every second of it. It was undeniably a spectacle-- a horrific and bloody one, but a spectacle nonetheless. The few bloodmongers who'd bet against the Brentaalan were ecstatic.

Laeo was still laying there, wide eyed. Nyxia didn't have an immediate response, so he pressed what little advantage he had. His hand found purchase around her arm, and so he did all he really could-- he squeezed. Any thoughts about holding back were gone now. He'd dipped his toes in the force for help, but with nothing else left, he dove in. Any scrap of the light he could grasp, any semblance of peace that seemed miles away from him right now-- they poured into him.

It wasn't much, but it was enough to get a tight grip. Every muscle in his arm tensed up and strained, his body screamed from all the places Nyxia's tail cut into his flesh. He couldn't move, but he could hold her here, hold her. If he could do that, he could win, if he could do that.

Until she started moving.

Without warning, she rolled onto her forearm, facing him. Laeo stared wide eyed, blood still obscuring his vision, but he could see her, violet skin and black eyes boring into him. His mouth hung agape as she moved, and before he knew it, she was on him. She was a light thing, but in his current state it felt like a speeder had fallen on him. He let out an incoherent yelp, and his grip on the girl's arm faltered-- faltered as his fingers curled into a fist and slammed into the side of her head. He wanted her off, and he wanted her off now.

Her sudden attack had surprised not only Laeonas, but the entire crowd too. Everyone in the audience shrieked as the fight continued. The screams reached a new pitch as the tactics used by both parties grew less professional and clean and became more dirty and savage. Her attempt to knock him out hadn't worked, but her hand had reach the torn flesh on the side of his lower torso. His previous grip on her arm, once tight, was now loosening, and she couldn't let it get tight again.

Determination to win this fight suddenly pounded through her and she subconsciously drew on the Force as she dug her fingers into Laeonas' side and simultaneously tilted her head to avoid contact with his fist. Instead, his fist would hit her horn, which would not deter Nyxia from her attack.

The pain in her body faded away as she focused on Laeonas beneath her. The fight had gone on for too long, and even though it would likely be the highest paying fight, Nyxia was ready for it to be over.
