There was a new gang that had popped up in several districts of Nar Shaddaa, a particularly nasty group that was enslaving anyone they could get their hands on. Obviously backed by someone with a large amount of wealth, they had come prepared to fight to hold the ground they were taking.

Slavery wasn't uncommon on the slaver's moon, but this new group was incredibly brutal was taking people at alarming rates. He knew it was coming, he had tried to warn his employees at The Lusty Lekku to take precautions to be safe, but still, two had shown up missing that morning.

He had reached out through his contacts, he knew where they were being held but once they were shipped off of Nar Shaddaa it was anyone's guess where they would end up. They wouldn't stop there either if this new force had reached Gil's district a conflict was only a matter of time.

So he made a call to anyone who would be willing to help, his own gang was small and shrinking. It was all they could do to monitor the territory Gil already held. He would be forced to do this by himself if no one showed up soon. He nervously tapped his glass as he looked around the room.

“Follow the credits.” The old adage was true, well at least in Ophelia’s situation. As much as she wanted to, Ophelia was left with two choices; wait on Kashyyyk to find her sibling, or follow the new lead on Nar Shaddaa. Both choices involved leaving her fate in the hands of a total stranger, but the latter choice meant a return to her father. Given her dwindling credits and mounting debt, Ophelia elected for Nar Shadda.

Nothing seemed familiar to her when she descended from her ship. Even the docking bay had an air of darkness, however, the possibility of finally reuniting with her sibling quickly shattered her gloomy disposition. “At least take your gun,” the old droid of hers called out as Ophelia made her way out of her ship. Without wasting a second, Ophelia reminded the droid the nature of her visit. “This trip is not about a fight, dumb a-“ She caught herself mid sentence and quickly changed her hot tone. “It’s just a quick visit to secure a lead. Now stay and make yourself useful while I’m away.”

Without as much as waiting for the droid’s response, Ophelia left the ship, unwillingly followed directive from her lead. True to her form, she perfectly blended in with the crowd and wasted no time in finding the bar. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary at the bar until a rather seemingly nervous guy approached the section Ophelia had reclined to. As if he wasn’t already obvious, the man tapped his glass to the annoyance of Ophelia.

“Tapping on the glass will get you ignored by the staff, you do know that, yes?” Said Ophelia in the most matter-of-fact tone. Her eyes scanning the general direction of the man.

“Follow the credits.” The words crossed her mind as she discreetly further observed the man.

He took a sip from the glass, grimacing slightly as a shot of pain shot up his spine. There were days he wished the lightsaber had just killed him. Death couldn't be all that bad, at least he wouldn't have to deal with this pain.

He took another sip from the glass before resting it back on the table. No one was coming. Had he really run out of friends here? The quickly? He sighed, of course, that's how it was. That was the nature of this place and the people that called it home. You befriended the strong and left the ones you perceived as weak in the dust.

He went back to tapping the glass, a gesture he often did when he was thinking. Was he really going to waltz in this place by himself? Maybe these two were just lost, others would have left them behind but he wasn't others. He knew he was going after them, even if that meant doing something incredibly dumb.

He looked up at the next table over, studying the woman with softly glowing green eyes. "It seemed to get your attention just fine," he said shifting in his seat. He looked her over again for a second longer before looking back down at the table. He looked down at his chrono. He couldn't wait any longer.

He set a couple of credits down on the table to tip the waitress and stood. He gave one more glance to the woman who had spoken earlier. Normally, he was extremely sociable but tonight he had the weight of this on his mind. He made his way to the door.

He was alone.

"Your contact will be at the bar. You'll know when you meet in person." Ophelia replayed the last words of instructions quietly within her. In that moment, she knew beyond a shadow of doubt that said contact was within her reach. The thought of her missing sibling and the dire possibilities of death rang deep within her. If finding her sibling requires taking an extraordinary path she will. Albeit unwillingly.

Finally making a dead eye contact, she broke the long silence. "Your voice gave you away." The deep voice she heard on the holocall prior to her decent on the force-forsaken bar rand deep within her. She hasn't forgotten the man's snide remark from earlier either. "As for tapping on the glass to draw service attention, you may as well walk up to the bar yourself." She concluded whilst walking up to the man and offering her hand. Pleasantries isn't her best quality, but she managed to put on a front for the sake of her sibling.

Although raised as a proper Mandalorian, nothing about her at the moment would reveal that truth. "At your service and ready."

He had just stepped outside when the woman's voice spoke again. He raised an eyebrow when she said his voice had given himself away. He wasn't hiding, the point of coming to this bar was to meet with contacts, though many he had never met before.

Now that she had mentioned it, her voice also had sounded a bit familiar. He let out a chuckle as she brought up the glass tapping "It was more of thinking gesture than anything but I'll keep your advice in mind." he said, the smile spreading to his eyes.

She said she would be accompanying him with which he gave a small nod. "I'm never one to turn down help." he said with a shrug. He took her hand and shook it "Name's Gil. he said introducing himself. "I'm parked over here." he said gesturing down the street.

"Are you a local or just passing through looking for work?" he asked, assuming her only motivations would that of a hired gun. As he had said, he wasn't picky when it came to accepting help, but she looked like capable sort anyways.
