I think I saw a BBY year somewhere on the site but can't remember where, or I'm just remembering things wrong, so in either case, do we have a time slot we're on? (As in like how ROTS happened 19 BBY, the Mandolorian attack on the Jedi Temole while the Republic and Jedi were focused on the Sith took place 1032 BBY, and how the New Sith Wars ended around 1000 BBY, like what number year on that timeline are we?)

Around 1000 BBY. Around 5-8 years after, if you want to be exact.

An ambiguous number sometime around 1000 years before the Phantom Menace.

Alright, Thanks for clearing that up, and is it true that if a independent faction can knock a major faction down some pegs, that said independent faction could take said factions place in the major faction category? since I was told that this was possible.

Its possible, yes. But it takes some very... Extreme circumstances, as well as the go ahead from the admin team. I'm sure the event referenced was the destruction of the Republic and the rise of the Mandalorian Dominion. This was only able to happen because:
  • The Republic had been lacking pretty much any significant activity for months.
  • The Mandalorian Dominion had not only taken more territory than any indie faction, but was incredibly active.
  • The Fall of the Republic was already planned to happen in some form.
Even then, the MD didn't replace the Republic. I think it's generally bad form to design a faction from the offset with destroying main factions in mind.

The year is 2017, our glorious god emperor is in the process of building a wall to keep the mandos and jedi out.
