What's Lurking? (Jedi Mission)

Hearing his master speak in his mind Kalen took a few steps away from the two fighters. He looked on anxiously as the of them engaged each other, taking in every move they made. This was a real fight after all, no better place to learn.
[OOC:Sorry this is so short, didn't really know what else to post right now.]

 

[Mr. Crunchy]

Kalza's lightsaber slashed up violently to meet the lightening, as she absorbed the worst of it. All of a sudden she broke her block, the remainder of the lightening hitting her and singing her clothes. However, she looked unfazed and shot a huge Force Push in Demoly's direction, probably strong enough to knock her off her feet or flying several feet backwards.

So it was true, the source of this corruption was from the Bogan, a dark witch of some sort who could manipulate and bend the will and appearance of insentient beings. It was for the planet's own good that she stopped her.

 

[Dread]

Knees bent, her calf muscles tightened as they filled with the force. She simply jumped up to dodge the force push - into the top of a large disfigured branch in one of the swamps trees. It was slippery so Demoly would be careful, moist moss hung off the branch as lop sided as the tree itself. If the Jedi simply wanted to play with force powers then Demoly would switch her game up. They, after all, wanted her as much as she wanted them. From a distance away in the tree top Demoly reached out with the force. She would use that connection between the force with each other. If the Jedi could not resist Demoly's attempt then she would feel something burning began to crawl up her nose and between her lips. Down into the throat the burning would go - and then suddenly it would fill her throat full before tightening it to block her breathing. This power, of course, would take time to happen.

As the two women fought Kalen expanded his Force awareness as far as he could and caught a whiff of something coming from behind him, from the direction in which they had been originally headed. Realizing that he was of little help to his master here he headed in that direction to investigate. After walking for a little while he reached a tree with pieces of broken metal lying around it and the remains of a chain hanging from its trunk. Remembering having seem a similar broken chain hanging from the beast's neck Kalen headed forward with caution. Suddenly he stepped into a clearing and found himself at the edge of a small stream of water. Ahead of him was a small crop of land with the stream dividing into two and flowing around it. And on the small island was what they had been looking for, the woman's camp.

Jumping over the stream Kalen landed on the island and began examining the items lying all around. The pile of wood, freshly used charcoal, fold out bed, and makeshift table left no doubt in Kalen's mind that this was where the woman had been staying. And from the feel of the place in the Force she was making use of a large amount of the Dark side of the Force. Swords, herbs, metal scraps, a weird assortment of items. They were all reeking of the Dark Side and Kalen started to wonder exactly what this woman was up to.

 

[Mr. Crunchy]

Kalza was aware of her padawan's wandering, but ignored him for now. She knew that there was nothing extremely hostile he couldn't handle around the swamp, for now.

She suddenly threw her lightsaber, watching it slash through the air. Whether it hit or not was irrelevant, as she had freed up both hands now. Whilst the woman was hopefully distracted, she opened both her hands then clamped them both together. This would crush the Dark Jedi hopefully, incapacitating her. If she managed to evade the force powers somehow, she would have to quickly dodge Kalza's lightsaber too. If all else failed, Kalza would begin to use Trakata to gain something of an advantage.

 

[Dread]

((OOC: No reaction to my force attack? No resistance to it and/or being effected by it?))

Being a duelist Demoly was obliged to take care of that flying lightsaber. In her mind her eyes slowed it down - then with force speed she used her lightsaber to make contact with the womens lightsaber. With a slight sideways tip at the proper timing the tip top of her lightsaber touched the flying lightsaber in the lower middle - forcing the saber rotated the opposite way as Demoly reached out to grabbed the hilt. Now, she was outfitted with two lightsabers but she felt the crush of the force power being used on her. Demoly was use to pain - however - her tolerance level had expanded since fathers abuse. Nevertheless she fell backwards off the tree involuntary. When she fell off the tree and felt her body hit the ground - the two colors of the lightsabers blended together creating a brown glow. Demoly reacted accordingly once she was down and pushed out with a violent force push to break the Jedi's attention and cease the attack.

As Kalen explored the camp he thought about the situation at hand. He knew he would be no good to his master in the fight. Both the combatants were way too good for him. He would would be nothing but a hindrance. But there had to be something he could do. If only instead of him a Knight or a Master had come on this mission in his stead, they would have been much more help. But then it occurred to him maybe, just maybe he might be able to help his master after all. Some of his past skills might just come in handy here. There was some risk and his life might be on the line if the woman overpowered his master. But he was a Jedi, and Jedi did not fear death. Death is a natural part of life. Making up his mind he left the camp and began amking his way out of the swamp. As soon as he was within range he sent a transmission to the space port to forward to the temple. He then began making his way back to where Kalza was fighting the dark woman.

Finally rushing out of the bushes he reached the spot where the beast's body was lying on the ground. Looking around he saw the two woman, with the woman holding both his master's and her own lightsaber in her hand. Stepping forward he shouted, "Master, I have contacted the Jedi Temple. Help is on its way. There were some Jedi in a nearby sector and they'll be here soon." He knew he was lying but he had been conning people for a long time and he hoped that the woman would not catch his lie. After all there was some truth in what he said. He had indeed sent a transmission reporting the situation to the spaceport requesting them to forward it to the Temple on Ossus, but there was no help on its way. And if she didn't then he hoped that she might not be willing to risk fight multiple Jedi and retreat.
