Where to begin....

Ok, so for the past half hour I have sat here trying to wrap my brain around just the multitude of posts here and I just don't know where to begin my characters decent into the realms of this world. His current position is floating through space in a one manned planet hopper style ship he happened to steal from some raiders after escaping his enslavement by a group of independent bounty hunters and he has just received word that his application from before his enslavement to the sith order was accepted. I can play it like he is near Korriban but that would make no sense as he was just on a moon that has much vegitation and is more hostile then expected over an unknown planet and is now just floating. Now I am just confused.... Anyone wanna toss out some suggestions or something to help a rusty RPer out that would be great.
