Where to begin?

This is my first foray into the world of RP boards, I would like to try out a thread before the time skip occurs essentially to get my feet wet in this. I am not really looking to PvP just more of a new writers attempt to be a part of a thread. The character I play will hopefully be a Sith so want to have the foundations in place before we make the jump in time.

Do not be afraid to try a PvP, they are incredibly fun and you can always specify your thread as being death-disabled which no one should have a problem with.

However, I'd suggest writing a thread and then inviting a Sith or two to come join you.

A few ideas off the top of my head are:

Soran is looking for transport after his ordeal with the shopkeeper. His current ride made a stop on a bustling crime world such as Nar Shaddaa, but despite his efforts to convince them to continue on in the direction of Korriban they refuse. This forces him to seek out the rather shady and unsettling types that would have business on the Sith homeworld due to the fact that not many Sith themselves have dealings in places such as Nar Shaddaa or similar crime worlds.

Upon seeing the meager but not unsubstantial amount of credits Soran has acquired to pay for said transport, a group of thugs high on spice who had been watching from the shadows decide to try and rob Soran, not noticing the relic saber he his concealed within his clothing to protect against pickpockets.

They attack Soran, but he manages to draw the saber before they are able to do any substantial damage to him.

The red blade of a Sith is liable to attract attention in and of itself, but it just so happens that a Sith (someone that you ask) had been watching Soran as the scene unfolded. Perhaps sitting in a bar across the street or meeting with a contact of their own.

The Sith immediately takes notice of course. Watching as the boy cuts down several of the thugs. Depending on what kind of character the Sith is they may decide to help him, or simply watch the fight play out. In either case, when all is said and done the Sith questions the boy and bam! Soran has his first contact with the Sith Empire.

Where the thread goes from there is up to you. You could jump right in to a Sith mission with your new Sith buddy (if Malon or another AFL has approved him) or continue with the story on Nar Shaddaa. Kill an Empire snitch or something.

Idea Numero Dos

Soran is exploring a wild and vastly uninhibited planet, or finds himself marooned on it's surface by unforseen circumstances. Wandering for hours he begins to feel the pull of something dark calling to him. This feeling grows stronger as he guides himself in the direction of his feelings. Soon he cannot stop himself from moving in the direction of what beckons him. Upon arrival at the source of the dark power, he discovers he is far from alone. Another Sith had arrived just before him. Will the two decide to fight for the right to claim whatever lies below the earth-the source of the power. Or will they band together as one and descend into the darkness as allies...​

Thanks, I think that is my biggest wall is the story set up part. Might have to steal some of elements from those.

Of course.

Write something up and then look at the Sith Empire Roster for characters that might interest you.

Keep in mind that not everyone on the list is active, so you may wish to search the online members by clicking on them and viewing their post history to see what kind of characters they have and how you might be able to tie them into a story.

Obviously you'll want a Sith for those two ideas, but while searching you may think of an idea with a bounty hunter, member of the Shadow Conclave, or possibly a non lethal duel with a Jedi.
