Slaughter House
Reports from Bastion say one of the commanding Generals have been compromised by Killiks. There haven't been any weird actions or unusual sightings on the planet just yet. The leaders, and generals have all been summoned and waiting for you in a conference room. It is up to you to find the true Joined member and capture them. An interrogation must be held. If not successful then attempt to rip the individual from the hive mind. The galaxy depends on you to figure out how to bring them out of the hive. May the Force be with you...

The Killik threat just kept getting much worse since the day they appeared– reappeared, rather. Arctus himself had bore witness to the terrifying dangers the Hive possessed, remembering the dark, suffocating sensations he felt in the Force that could only be credited to the Hive Queen who launched an attack on Thyferra. Not only did he feel the Queen's power even if he hadn't actually saw nor fought her, but perhaps what terrified Arctus the most was the manner on how the Killik's number grew.

When he'd received word about getting assigned for a mission on Bastion, the Padawan could only shake his head in disbelief and wore the carpet in his dorm room floors by pacing relentlessly the longer he read the outline of the mission. One of the commanding Generals, reports said, had been compromised. Of course the word could only have been used to soften the shock of having a high-ranking official being Joined to the Killik's hive mind.

The thought of becoming Joined, let alone the process of facing one, worried the Corellian. The thought of a commanding general falling into the hands of the Killik spelled much worse. Councillor Zakrym La's actions saved Emryc Thorne from being Joined that day on Thyferra. Arctus didn't want to imagine what might happen if the combined might of Zak, the Zabrak Sith, and the ISC droids failed to fell the Hive Queen.

Stepping out of the shuttle that brought the investigation team on Bastion, the three Jedi were met anxiously by a small welcoming committee. Pleasantries have been very brief given the direness of the situation. The walk towards the conference room was tense and quiet. Arctus, for his part, walked alongside Councillor La and Knight Tonor.

Stopping by the conference room's closed doors, the petite woman leading the welcoming committee. Anya Todo had only been serving as one of the commanding generals' for over three months when the Killiks emerged. Suffice to say, the possibility of her boss being compromised or worse Joined shook the young woman to the core. She hoped that rumors were only just that – rumors, and nothing more.

But still, she and the others couldn't simply hold on to hope that their world would remain safe from the Killik's clutches.

"Bastion's leaders and commanding generals are gathered inside, Master Jedi," she began, hands folded in front of her. The woman looked at Zakrym, Edaara, and Arctus, her gaze as calm as she could muster. With a barely concealed shuddering breath she stepped aside and motioned for two of the security personnel to open the doors. Dipping her head respectfully, and almost imploringly, she said, "Thank you for coming to our aid. May your investigation bear fruit, and the Force always be with you."

It seemed the Killik situation was getting worse. A lot worse, if a commanding General had been compromised. Edaara had been quiet most of the journey in the shuttle, reflecting on what had happened and what must be done. She walked with Councillor La and Padawan Friers off the shuttle, following a timid looking woman leading the small welcoming committee. The walk to the conference room was quiet; the sounds of the Jedi's and the woman's feet were the only sounds in the corridor. Edaara could feel the tension in the group, albeit more stifled on the Jedi's end.

They stopped at the entrance to the conference room and Edaara took a small breath as the woman wished them luck. She nodded and gave her a reassuring smile. When she left, Edaara glanced at her companions before they walked in. "Are you ready?" she said, not directing her question to either one in particular.
