Whistler

Mandalorian — Helmet —

Origin:
The Whistler is forged by Hauron Solus for @Jace Kryze to enhance his preferred armor function(s) and fighting style.

Location:
In @Hauron Solus 's possession

Function.

The Whistler is a master crafted helmet of Mandalorian design. It was crafted in the Citadel on Mandalore and its outer shell consists of painted plastoid making it highly durable against damage. It was made to enhance the use of the offensive armor function affectionately called "whistling birds" making them more nimble and accurate than normal. The advanced features of the helmet allow its wearer to visually acquire twice the normal targets in the same amount of time as a standard helm would. This is compatible with more than one set of whistling birds, meaning Hauron incorporated enough hardware to be able to handle two (2) gauntlets full of whistling birds in the event Jace wants to be equipped as such. Therefor in theory, the Kryze could lock onto sixteen (16) targets simultaneously with two gauntlets full of whistling birds. Whistler has no bonus effects other than benefiting the whistling birds armor function but allows for the integration of other normal armor functions (Utility HUD, Vision modes, etc).

PVE Use: Whistling Birds can be more effective at pin-point strikes on NPCs and inanimate objects. Additionally up to eight (8) targets may be locked on at one time per gauntlet of whistling birds (maximum 2 per suit).

PVP Use: Whistling birds still cannot be used against Player Character targets directly. However, they may be used to still target NPCs and environmental targets in a PvP thread. Same restrictions apply as PVE.

Intent:
Gift from @Hauron Solus to his boo @Jace Kryze (@Sreeya). I also want to try my hand at making Mandalorian flavored trinkets and gifts since force sensitive characters can get them. I want to add some more culture to the mandalorians and will have Hauron crafting unique one-off artifacts for characters that earn them.

I’m a little wary on approving things that seek to, or at least seems to seek to, bypass tech restrictions. I’m going to allow this for now since as you’ve stated - whistling birds are generally a pve tech piece, so I don’t foresee it becoming a huge issue.

If it becomes one I’ll have to revisit this but for now:
