Why, hello there!

Hi everyone!

I'm Spectre, and I've just created a profile here. I'm really excited to get moving along. I've been roleplaying for a long time, and have been waiting to get my claws into a good, active star wars universe rolepaly.

I've got a lot of different ideas for a character [i have a tendency to create en-mass, but recently have only been sticking with single characters...], and i'm sure i'll have a million questions about factions, and rules, and stats/inventory type stuff...

I, like many others, really like the force sensitives. Though I'm not sure if I want to step right into a force sensitive or develop all that as an after thought. Aside from having a lot of interest with the force sensitive orders- i also really love the idea of a bounty hunter. An actual bounty hunter, not a merc, or an assassin in disguise with a 'bounty hunter' title.

I'm currently looking through the rules, and character templates and all that right now, but don't see anything about force power regulation, or anything about inventory. Is it all free-form here? Are you able to have certain items and powers out of the gate- as long as it makes sense for the character? I've been in all sorts of types of RP and just want to get this right :)

Welcome to the site! Yes it's pretty much all freeform here, and yes you can have whatever items make sense for your character at the start.

Ahh, okay thanks! I prefer things this way. It makes things less complicated, and easier to roleplay- rather than making it like a gear or stat-grab.

I'll continue researching more about factions, and facets of the board :D

Hey, welcome! You should probably read about the factions and their history, beliefs, goals, etc. before making a desicion, as you are only allowed, as an RPer, to be in one main faction. You should also look over the indies (there's a bounty hunter faction with pretty much the mindset you described, even). Anyways, hope your stay is a good one, and fire away any questions you may have.

yeah, I'm looking over everyone now. I did see the bounty hunter guild!! I'm intrigued, but again am left with noob questions.

I see i need to rack up a 25,000 income from bounties. Is there a currency system in the boards? Or is this all just subjective? Or is this something better to ask the Faction Leader?

Hello and welcome! Be aware that the new rules state you can only have three characters and only two of those three can belong to main factions, as well as the fact like was said above you can only belong to one main faction at a time though you can have different independent characters if you want. The bounty hunters guild is an indie faction, so one of your three can absolutely be a bounty hunter.

I would do a lot of reading before getting into anything big. The site just revamped this week with a whole new set of rules and backgrounds for the factions as well as force usage and all that. RP is almost completely freeform, there are just certain rules and ideas you have to adhere to per the rules section and force usage section.

You can always ask the FLs and they'll be happy to answer. I happen to know that this was just to add flavor to the guild and isn't an actual requirement for joining.

I'm pretty sure Kiro, the leader of the Guild, said somewhere that that part is purely for flavor and you don't really need to capture 5 people to get in the Guild, though I'm sure doing so wouldn't be frowned upon! Anyways, I suggest you direct your questions about the faction to the faction page.

Welcome! Yea Kiro definitely said in her BH guild thread the 5 kills was for flavor. That's definitely the place you want to go if you want to create the typical Bounty Hunter type. As far as rules on force powers go there is a post, which I believe is in the rules, on that. The basic jist is that use common sense on Force powers and you will be fine. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.
