Why is Square so stupid?

Ok, when Kingdom Hearts 2 was released, During its first week of availability in Japan, Kingdom Hearts II sold 727,591 copies. During its first month of availability in North America Kingdom Hearts II sold over an estimated 1 million copies. The game was also in IGN's Top 10 Sellers in 2006, standing in number two. It was ranked as number one for Reader's Choice for PS2 Games. The game has sold a total of 3,210,000 copies worldwide, with 1,600,000 in the United States.

Now, with the release of the Final Mix version in Japan(Like a special edition with new scenes, enemies, weapons, etc), which also came out with CHain of Memories, which was only for Gameboy and is now completly remastered so its in PS2 graphics and spoken diologue. They didnt sell as many in Japan as they did the normal version, but it seems that more people in America are wanting it to come here then the people in Japan, and Tetsuya Nomura(The game's creator) is not sure if he wants to!

The only way for people in America to play it, is to get it imported from Japan, AND get a japanise PS2/PS3 to play it! WHy is it so hard for him and other Square staff to understand why they should import it? THey will most likely make more money, and if it aint about the money, then what is it about? Seriously, Final Fantasy may have been made in Japan, but Disney was made in AMerica, and thats enough reason why there should be an american version of this awsome game!

I love Kingdom hearts, But i don't have a PS2...

WHo knows why Square Enix are weird like that? But i'd also like to know why they won't do Final Fantasy games for consoles other than Sony ones....

Also (sorry if this hijacks the topic a tad...) But wouldn't it be a good idea to remake FF7 (the best Final fantasy game) in better graphics? no changes, just the graphics. and make it For PC as well as PS3?

I'm not sure about kingdom hearts. It's a game, like final fantasy ten, which i haven't played, simply cuz they're both on ps2, which i don't own.

I'd like to play em both, and if the first one turned out any good, i'd definitely want a special version of the second one.

On though other hand though... disney characters? please tell me they aren't as stupid as they are in the movies? or as annoying, ie the duck/mouse/mice etc?

To Kupo: Not entirley. People think just cause it has Disney thinks its stupid, like Enishi does. But it aint, Disney and FInal Fantasy and New characters/villians all put into one game is actualy a very good idea.

How does it work? are you a new guy, or an existing character, like squall, or a disney one?

lol, if i had a ps2, id probs still get them , just so i could say i'd played and them, and could therefore possess a valid opinion, like i recently did with the PoP trilogy. fun games them. first one was most fun.

And anyway, IMO they shouldn't have made a special edition of the game period, not because I didn't like the game, but because they should make a sequel; give the people what they want, not make a KH 2.1 or whatever.

You play as a completly new person, who is non Disney and Non Final Fantasy related.

And Kurt, i slightly agree with you. I mainly want the Gameboy one thats now on PS2 more then i do the SE one. lol

FF is actually being shared now on other systems, Nintendo will continue continuing its original story " before sony ruined it in my book" with the series started on the NES, and game boys"

FF XII and others will also be released to the 360 as well, sony has lost 90% of it's exclusive titles, FF being one of the titles that will be shared.

because sony has lost this console war and the game developers know better than to try and revive the titanic of game systems

Normally I don't get into these "discussions" but Mulluns I believe your mostly at fault here. If you wouldn't have put "Kingdom Hearts is gay" in your introduction then I bet the majority of the people would not have said anything. They would have just ignored it.

Actually Its FF XIII That will be reendered for the 360 and I do partially agree KH2 was gay the first one Meh

Think of the Keys as Enchanted, Blunt/edged weapons.

And there Teens, not Kids.



But this is not a discussion about what the game is about, its on why Square is being so stupid with importing there games to america, and screwing up with them like they did FFX.
