Location: Edge of Eriadu space, Outer Rim

Theme: Destroyer of All Things - Blue Stahli

Returning to the newly discovered planet and its system was a welcome occurrence. But they were not ready to enter hyperspace yet. Cyzyn-Itza-Rus wanted the ships that would be carrying their colonists to have a clear path. The edge of Eriadu space was where they would be departing from. The recent fluctuations and traffic of the system meant he did not want anybody spying or catching on to their directions and coordinates. However there were pirates that operated this far out. Coming this far away from a civilized planet in the outer rim was like swimming into open waters in a questionable ocean.

The Tiss'shar was piloting his Farsight scout ship. It was high class compared to other ships and had cost him time and effort more than credits. But it was not wasted and had been sought after specifically for its sensors and internal amenities for autonomy. At its controls he had the scanners on high in the event an enemy ship made itself known and moved on the wood-be exit location. His GP protocol droid and astromech assisted with the functions of the vessel as well, allowing it to work cohesively.

The Dread Lord was not the only organic life form in this part of space. There was another Jedi Exile accompanying him. He was a recent addition to the plan though his knowledge was compartmentalized. He would not know about each of the other Dread Lords and their parts taken, only that his skills in starship combat would be utilized in this clearing section of Cyzyn-Itza-Rus's agenda. Depending on how he did the Tiss'shar would consider him for future events and purposes.

The coffin-like ship Cho picked was so heavily armored that if he was to ram into a ship it would act like a bullet to flesh. Fast and heavily armored with 4 laser cannons, missiles and a half dozen drop bombs made one think that the ship was a weapons rack than a scout ship. Cho did not know what kind problems he would encounter so he wanted all that he could pack into the ship. The name and the type of ship was unknown to him what really mattered was what it could do.

Cho had worked on ship to ship and dog fighting it, was one type of training that he could excel at. Day in and out he was either in a cockpit or a simulator only out to eat or a short trip to the bathroom. A ball type droid, 2-2 was given to him and helped him train. His skill had improved with leap and bounds over the three month training. Nasaug had given him pointers and advice to space combat.

Gently floating in the area of Eriadu space Cho went through his checks again. 2-2 beep an all clear for weapons and shield rotations. Cho clicked a green light on the coms to his lead. Quietly he reached out in the force extending his reach to the farthest limits. Lately he has seen a gulf in the levels of power in the Exile order and his was in the lower mid-levels he had to grow stronger. The darkside of his signature had been growing silently unseen to those around him. He had taken to masking the darkness by hiding within the force.

Wroth had in secret joined with a group that he knew very little of but what Cho did know was that in the past months the force dreams and visions was calling to him and moving him to them. Now he and another floated at the start of a new mission to clear out the space lane of those that stood in their way.

Clear to go, let purge the space of the dead wood.

Swiftly and silently within the vacuum of space a wing of eight Bi-vane fighters sped past the outer reaches of Eriadu Moon's orbit, the distant sun projecting the shadows of the passing fighters on the surface of the atmosphere-less orb that circled the planet. the black silhouettes flickering as the contours of the moons surface changed under the fighter's flight path.

Sitting in the cockpit of his Bi-vane fighter, the flight lead cracked a smirk as the updated sensor information flashed up on the screen from one of many crudely assembled sensor arrays that littered the pirate band's territory within the system. The crudely fashioned sensor arrays would scan the local vicinity as soon as the solar collectors would be recharged, deplete its battery whilst scanning and transmitting the information out to any patrolling vessel that might be in range, shut down and recharge.

"Listen up you Fracks Tighten up formation, we've got a bite!. I want all of you to make full burn, then as soon as I tell you split off into pairs and swarm the Frackers" the Pirate captain spoke with a thinly veiled snarl over the intercom to the gathered wings of Bi-vane fighters. He waited for confirmations from the rest of his flight group and gave a resigned sigh. It was widely known he preferred to hunt alone and despised having to work with the other dregs of the Grox Pirates, but on this occasion if the payout from the scrap and salvage is of any value then perhaps he'll do his best to put up with the motley assembly of Nerf herders. If not he'll thin this own numbers to increase his payout. Without any further communication the captain, opened the throttle fully accelerate and assault their unknown pray.

As soon as the two ships came into visual range, the eight Bi-vanes split into their tight formations into two groups of four ships headed straight for the two unknown fighters, "Right, Light the Frackers up!" the commander barked over the intercom to the rest of the ships within the two wings as each group of four ships split into two flights of two, falling into a tight formation with their wing-man and swarmed the two Exile ships, opening fire as and when the ships came into the targeting scanners sights.

The farsight scout ship was not meant for intense combat but it would still be able to destroy the bi-vanes if it landed its hits. The auto blaster on board the dorsal part of the ship would track and fire ahead of one pair to compensate for their speed. Its field of view was obscured and the four bi-vanes before they broke off would mean he would likely hit one if not two of them with the large hail of turret fire.

Whomever would likely take the hail of blaster bolts from the autoblaster would get to feel the affects of the tractor beam that the farsight scout ship had at its disposal. While it would not halt the fast starfighters immediately it would likely slow them down significantly and possibly even disrupt their fighting maneuvers enough to confuse their attack. At best this series of actions that Cyzyn-Itza-Rus performed with the assistance of his on board astromech he would be able to take out three star fighters in the fight. That would still leave another five for the next few moments, more than enough to still take out the scout ship and his wing mate in the following minutes.

It started. Cho's ship jumped with a lurch as his engines whined and rattled. The first strike was from his partner leaving five to go. Inhaling a breath Cho took a quick look at the status gauges of his space suit. Swapping his shields double forward he shunted all the rest of the energy to his engines. Picking up as much speed as he could from the little Ugley's engine. It started to shutter from the speed and the stress. One of the six stabilizers sputtered and exploded. Cho cut the outside lights and dropped his engine power as if he just lost power.

As the ships neared he'd released one of the drop bombs and with the force sent it out as part of the debris of his ship. The gap of the enemy ships closing on him he would smile for his lights and engine were quiet or off his weapons were hot and ready for them. At the point of no return Cho let loose with his guns and loosed a couple of missiles. Reving up his engines the Ugley blasted past the oncoming fighters. The drop bomb would go off as the fighters would fly past where he would have been.

Flipping his ship in a 180 he started to chase the fighters with his guns blasting hot hell fire down on the last of the ships. Resetting the shields to even he had his droid, 2-2, do a scan of the area and the strength of the remaining ships. Keeping on the tail of the fighters was different than the simulators, yet Cho kept up to the ships leading his targets taking a ship at a time.

No sooner as the flight of pirate fighters broke off into their attack formations the larger scout ship opened fire from its automated defense turret ripping through the lead ship of the first wave of fighters to buzz the ship, the blasts of super charged energy ripping through the light shielded hut, sending it spiraling out of control before exploding, the downed ships partner quickly performing a controlled downwards roll to avoid being caught up within the fiery wreckage however the thermal shock wave from the explosion had disrupted its auxiliary systems leaving it susceptible from further attacks, before passing to the underside of the scout ship whilst inverted to regroup and come back around.

As the second wave of ships to attack a field of focused energy reached out into the advancing group, ensnaring the lead in what seemed like a gravimetric hold, the beam's concentrated energy wrapping around the ship fully limiting its abilities to escape, its speed and maneuverability compromised, the second fighter of the wave wrestled for control momentarily before being able to pry itself loose of the tractor beam as its partner was caught in the focal point of the tractor beam

The two ships that had not been destroyed or ensnared by the scout ships tractor beam regrouped on the flank of the far sight class ship that appeared to be remaining stationary through the first wave of the assault as if it were a sea defense barrier that the two fighter waves were to crash against. As the two fighters regrouped and formed into layered formation as the rushed the ships flank, splitting at the last moment to carry out a strafing run with one ship attacking the upper side and the second opening fire on the underside of the scout ship.

The second group of fighters that were attacking the Ugley class ship were initially thrown off by the lame duck ploy enacted by the ships pilot, the fore front 2 ships were caught out and destroyed by the drop bomb that had been concealed within the loose debris that had broken off of the Ugley. The second half of the attack group focusing on the Ugley caught off guard by the sudden unexpected loss of half of their group soon found them selves on the defensive, as the ship they were attacking had done an 180 degree flip and was now pursuing them, unleashing cascades of supercharged blaster rounds and missiles upon them whilst the two remaining fighters weaved in and out to avoid getting hit.

With a sudden movement the two ships looked as they were about to collide with each other as they performed a knife edge roll against each other, only to effectively break out of their formation in a cross maneuver, the pilots disengaging their inertia dampeners as they spun their ships round to face the pursuing crash, opening fire as the Ugley passed between them, carrying out an improvised strafing rung along the craft's port and starboard sides.

The Pale Harvest felt the shots of weapon's fire from multiple directions. The astromech on board beeping and whirring as it shifted shield capacity to better protect the ship after the damage was taken. Cyzyn-Itza-Rus gunned the controls and had them finally move. His stationary position no longer providing him an advantage with the remaining starfighters flitting about. He hissed through his sharp teeth as his clawed hands moved over the controls, gunning the ship to close the distance between the ones he had ensnared with his tractor beam.

As he closed the distance he had the dorsal mounted automatic firing turret let loose another barrage. He had it aim at the relative top most starfighter after the ships' attack run had strafed across the Pale Harvest's shield. Cyzyn-Itza-Rus was not using a lot of the ship for the time being and having his laboratory and non essential systems using up power would do him now good. "Divert non essential power to shields. Try to focus reinforcements on their attack vectors." He gave the directions to his astromech droid. This would help return his shields somewhat to their previous status and help the ship's hull remain undamaged as the shielding would take the brunt of the next potential attack.

The Farsiight was top of the line but it was still slow compared to the fast pace the bi-vanes had. While they were outdated in terms of starfighter to starfighter combat they were still formidable against a semi-civilian based ship. The scaled individual tilted his ship and had it so the dorsal side of the vessel was facing the approaching bi-vanes. This presented them with a larger target but would have both of them in sight of the auto turret. Once in view he would have the turret let loose another torrent, centering it's aim on the undamaged bi-vane. Hopefully the already damaged bi-vane from earlier would get clipped in the wall of blaster fire and be taken out of the fight.

With no emotion Cho kept the heat up on the last two ships of his group. When they split he knew he had to react this maneuver was one that was drilled into him tasked actions. Letting 2-2 take the rotating guns he slowed the vessel to follow the one that swung right. With missiles Cho locked and fired the tracing missiles while letting 2-2 use the guns to target the second ship coming in on his rear. Cho shunted energy from his engines to the shields doubling the shields both front and back.

As the rightmost ship charged Cho he focused his mind in the force letting it guide him in his actions and push a rush of force fear as far as it could go. Then he fired the engines to charge and then target with another missile. Getting the target range for the right most nearly on them 2-2 swapped to fired upon the ship Cho had charged.

In Cho's native tongue he shouted some curses on the open coms and roared in a wicked glee. Cho was not going to blink or turn aside so when he charged he'd drop a bomb in his wake and if it hit then all the better. 2-2 watched as the gap closed from the rear with the incoming ship.

Cho signaled via the coms to see if his partner needed help or protection with a strafing run to end this fight with a double win strafing.

Finding himself impaled within the invisible binding grasp of the tractor beam, the pirate captain, braced himself and uttered a silent prayer as the scout ship's hull mounted turret rounded on his ship, his eyes widening as the muzzle of the turret flared for a brief second before unloading a torrent of super charged energy that rained down hard against the hull of the pirate's bi-vane fighter. The scorching energy rocking the ship violently, as various systems within the cockpit erupted into showers of sparks and smoke that rained down on the pilots flight suit.

Slowly he opened his eyes as the cascade of blasts eased off as the turret spun round, turning to focus its targeting sensors on the remaining two fighters that were approaching the scout ship as it maneuvered to broad side the two ships rapidly closing in to attack. The turret soon opened fire on the two approaching ships, each of the super charged bursts of energy hitting their mark, tearing through the hulls of the two ships that swiftly erupted into two large fire balls.

"Frack! If I'm going down I'm taking you with me" The captain snarled as he rapidly tore off his nav console, pulling the out the cables concealed within the dashboard, like he was disemboweling a slain beast. In a desperate last ditch effort he bypassed the safety interlocks on his ship, arming the on board proton torpedoes. "See you in hell!" he uttered as the pirate captain crossed the cables that forced the detonation of armed torpedoes . The explosion tore through the hull of the stricken fighter, the surge of energy from the blast overloading the tractor beam sending a feedback surge that would cascade throughout the on board computer systems of the Farsight scout ship, causing the auxiliary systems to overload and short out.

The two fighters that were engaged against the Ugley, soon found their maneuver ineffective as the bulky lumbering ship was able to round on the lead ship and unleashed an unyielding torrent of missiles that rained down on the ship ripping through it with ease. The fighter that was in pursuit of the ugley found itself facing the same fate as the turrets of the ship rounded its muzzle on it, before unleashing a torrent of hell fire upon the craft that tore through its hull, systems before with a final explosion, the lives of the pirates were snuffed out.

Pleased with the outcome of his salvo he wrought on the two enemy Bi-vanes he noticed his sensors indicate Cho was making headway on his own front. Holding his own was definitely a good sign, especially with an inferior ship. Cyzyn-Itza-Rus wondered if he had picked that ship specifically to show off his skill with a handicapped starfighter.

Cyzyn-Itza-Rus had studied a great deal but that did not mean his knowledge was absolute, far from it. When the starfighter in the Pale Harvest's tractor beam moved his slit pupils dilated slightly. He was just as interested as he was surprised. The Tiss'shar had not realized that such a thing could be done. Perhaps it was just theory or some fluke but the bi-vane had escaped the hold of his ship's tractor beam. It could also be due to the changing power in the ship, perhaps his droid had made an error in diversion of energy. The event logs of the ship's systems would have to be checked after this engagement.

The last remaining bi-vane would try to escape but the Tiss'shar re-oriented his ship to get a good angle with the auto blaster. He waited a half second to make sure he was on an effective tracking trajectory before letting loose another barrage on the remaining ship. It was the last ship and this would finish up the clearing for the future convoy to come this way.

Cho had 2-2 do a sweep of the area and the ships systems. Finding an all clear Cho headed back to his partner to see the engagement. Lowering the power to his shields he shunted the extra to the engines. The engines whined as he pushed them to their limits to get back. Cho hoped he wasn't to far out to be of help. Time seemed to lag as the distance ticked away. He could see laser fire flare and fade in the firefight.

A slight shudder to the ship was starting to get worse as the time and distance passed. Cho let the force flow through him and guide him in this fight. It seemed the enemy ship had been held and yet seemed to break free and set to upon Cho's partner. Cho's counter ticked and then the space between him and the engagement closed almost at once.

His hand guided by the force he opened fired upon the bi-vane ship. 2-2 rerouted the extra engine power to the lasers and they leaped from his two double cannons arching to the bi-vane. As the Ugly closed in on the bi-vane it poured more energy between the distance hungry for destruction. Cho with his eyes half closed let the force guide his hands.

Having successfully broken himself and his ship free from the vice like grip of scout ship's tractor beam, the sole remaining pirate was perhaps more so surprised than the Tiss'shar pilot that the last ditch gambit had actually paid off. Not one to look a gift bantha in the mouth the pilot reared the ship round as best as possible, the damage sustained by the earlier onslaught of turret fire making the ships maneuverability extremely limited, making it handle with all the grace as a drunken Hutt. Still through sheer determination and will power the front of the ship started to round to face down the Farsight class ship, only to get beaten down in his efforts by a final salvo of turret fire. Within a blink of an eye the life of the ship was snuffed out by a large fireball, the final added insult to the fatal injury was the deluge of laser fire that ripped through the charged debris cloud that was now littering the immediate radius of the blast.

It had been a few minutes but the void of space was silent again. The only sounds Cyzyn-Itza-Rus could hear were the noises hiss ship and droid made. He had the astromech run a diagnostics quickly to make sure he had not mistaken any damage. It seemed there were no hull breaches and the worst was some external scoring. "We shall turn back now that this business is completed." He said over the ship communications with Cho Wroth. The being had proven himself today considering he had dared to pilot such a flimsy ship. The Tiss'shar would have to see about getting him an actually decent ship for future engagement even if it were something simple.

Moving the controls the ship would turn and make its way back to Eriadu. Cho's fighter would have to be left behind for the time being. The Farsight scout ship had a hyperdrive and would continue to escort the civilian craft moving towards the new colony. The damage he had sustained would be easily fixed but the colonists were as good as settled in Cyzyn's opinion.
