It was fuzzy. Very fuzzy. It had two little trails of hair over its super-wide mouth that made a silly little mustache, complementing the shaggy unkempt beard and matted fringe. Its eyes were brown and soft, almost the same color as its fur. It had a big long tail that dragged along behind it in the sand. It was cute, and Kat wanted to hug it.
"Get away from my Bantha!" Some voice yelled, making her jerk back to reality. She broke her staring contest with the creature and pouted as she left the area. Stupid people, why couldn't she have a Bantha?
She glared at the setting suns as if her gaze could stop the relentless heat that washed down on the rinky-dink town she wandered in. Where too next? There was apparently a spaceport around here, maybe she could find a way to get off-world and away from the smelly people here. A ship came down from the sky, almost providential, and Kat followed where it went. She watched it set down amongst some big buildings, which she could only assume was the spaceport.
Inside people milled about, loitering because there wasn't anything else to do on Tatooine. There were a few interesting people, but most shied away from her. She might have welcomed such a reaction at any other time, but she was bored. No one to talk to, just wandering around in the heat. It wasn't how she wanted to spend her freedom.
Still, maybe the person with big worms on their head will be amenable to chat. "Hey! I'm Katherine!" She stated peppily.
