@Black Noise @Vinn Esper what seems to be the issue here and have you both discussed it? If what I've heard is correct there's been no discussion of this between the two of you OOC. Am I mistaken?

We discussed it after it was reported. Yet as far as I understand we are still at an impasse. I am not sure what BNs exact argument against my post is. Therefore I am going to state my argument in support of my post and let it go as it goes.

My argument centers around three facts
Fact 1: nothing about the way BN wrote his defence is vague.
Fact 2: the force pull was always specifically mentioned as being targeted at BNs feet.
Fact 3: BNs defence was to crouch but he did nothing to disrupt my force pull.

I don't feel bns defence would've allowed him to resist the force pull, so I wrote my post as If the Force pull was not resisted. I asked for several different opinions regarding the situation to ensure that my feelings were not biased by my own desire for victory before I wrote my post and I did not receive even one opinion that was counter to mine. I realize that doesn't matter because it is solely your decision. I only point this out to illustrate that this went beyond me simply deciding that his defense wouldn't work.

I asked whether I should say something to BN, or write my post the way I wrote it. I was told to write it and accept a ruling if one was required. I reviewed the rules. They do not require me to tell someone that their defence wouldn't work. The rules tell you not to exploit vagueness. I still dealt with BNs attacks fairly and BN is not in a position where he is defenseless. No auto hit occurred. I feel my post is squarely and fairly within the rules.

In the future, please note that it is imperative that you speak with your opponent for clarity even if others tell you what would/wouldn't be the case. I was a part of the chat where you asked others for their opinions, and not a single person told you NOT to talk to BN. Talking with the person you're pvping with is always encouraged as it helps build a collaborative environment instead of actively trying to undercut someone.

Furthermore, historically, reports are always thrown out if there is no evidence of dialogue between the two parties beforehand. Going forward, please remember this.

My defense, as stated, was that my character is 'resisting' being pulled using their strength. Not just crouching. Vinn has ignored this, has god moded a successful hit by choosing to post without speaking to me, then has god moded my blaster shots into a more favorable position despite my character firing at the same time his is pushing. Therefore, even if my defense fails and I do fall, that would not change the tradjectory of the bolts to hit the ceiling and his armored shoulder.

What we discussed is that vinn is open to discuss the post but, to quote our conversation "I am not willing to edit my post unless an admin tells me I have to."
Therefore any discussion would be moot, as he has no intentions to make any changes.

I did say what BN said that I said. I also explained why I felt that way and I understand Sreeya. Thank you for the correction. I will say that someone did tell me what I said regarding writing my post but I'm not willing to go back and find it nor do I remember who exactly told that to me so that point is moot.

Also I did not god mid. The hits were aimed for my chest. I took the hits logically as they would be placed if BN did fall which I contend he would have.

Just because you don't agree with someone's defense doesn't mean you are allowed to throw it out. The autohit rules pertain to attacks that were not addressed. In this case, @Black Noise's post specifically states that she was "resisting the pull against her legs." Now, it would have been wise to discuss that beforehand and figure out exactly how that worked and what the logistics of that were but now you've already posted and locked it in.

Whether that is a valid defense or not should have been something that was discussed before posting but wasn't. As such, @Vinn Esper will need to rewrite his post as his current post is ignoring the defense made. In the future it is imperative that discussions be had on an OOC level so that everyone is on the same page. "Overwriting" an opponent creates for disastrous PvP timelines. This ruling is final.

I am going to OOC stipulate that Airen was killed by BNs last attack. As soon as the threads I started with her prior to this thread are finished, I will submit her to archive.

Please make sure the Jedi Mission threads you started before the death are finished. Thanks!
