PERSONALITY

Troy Walker is a man of few words and simple pleasures, caring more about his work then anything else. A sly gunslinger with dry wit and a gruff tone always ready to bring the lawless to justice. Most of his time is dedicated to his work which quickly became more of a lifestyle for the man than a mere job. Almost consuming him entirely as Troy has few relationships outside of the professional realm. No lover, no lifelong friends, no family just his fellow Rangers. Riddled with the bad habit of keeping others at an arms length and away from his personal life.

He feels a strong kinship to those of whom also wear the badge of Sector Ranger. Considering them the only true family he's ever known. Due to his work Troy had to sacrifice much, including the chance at a regular family life. A bitter choice, but one he made all the same. The Ranger wanders the galaxy as he completes cases, living predominantly on the move, never calling one place home. He prefers his privacy, avoiding personal conversations with short answers, always straying a topic back towards a more professional capacity.

Troy sees criminals and crime as a parasite, leeching off helpless victims and the goodness of others. Something he has a personal stake in combating, regardless of the self-inflicted sacrifices he must make to maintain the fight. He carries around an intense aura everywhere he goes, the gaze of a man whose seen countless evils committed and can never unsee them. He suffers from chronic insomnia thus finding it extremely difficult to sleep; seemingly never being able to eacape his past nor his duties to the Rangers. Slowly his obligations consume the good in him as it habitually eats away at his being. The mans honest, sure, but he tetters on the thin line of morality. Walking in shades of grey while simultaneously casting others in harsh black or white categories. Good and bad, powerful or harmless, light vs dark. His narrow view of the galaxy and it's peoples reflects back unto him as if an abyss.

Troy Walker is a Ranger of undeniable commitment to the mission and nothing else. This has afforded him a certain credibility among his agency, a lawman who cares only about stopping the criminal regardless of the consequences. A trait most agencies can't afford but within the Rangers the choice is more readily available. No matter how dark the monster roaming wild, Troy is the man worthy of apprehending it. Even if that means he has to get his hands dirty while doing so, or worse, muddy his boots.

Cynical and pessimistic to a fault Troy is far from an idealist. He holds no naive notions of galactic peace or a realm free of crime and criminality. Ironically it isn't the thought of defending the weak, protecting the innocent or even helping those whom can't help themselves which motivates Troy. Instead it's the utter disdain and contempt he holds for lawless individuals. The hatred which keeps him up at night with cold sweats and gnawed teeth.
BIOGRAPHY

Troy came from nothing and for most of his life he'd been told he'd be nothing. Raised as the only son of a young mother on Couscant's more dangerous parts, not much was afforded to Troy. His father was in and out of trouble with the local authorities. Spending most of Troy's young life behind bars due to his gang activities. Which, to Troy, was better than coming around. His father being an abusive alcoholic who wouldn't think twice about beating Troy's mother or Troy himself. A man plagued with his own demons, sure, yet a vile man all the same.

His father was arrested when Troy was in his early teens. This time him and his mother believed this to be the final straw which would put him away for good and hopefully getting him out of their lives permanently. However Troy's father became an informant for the law instead, sharing gang secrets best left unsaid to the authorities. He was released due to his helping the law put away the old gang for good. Thus the abuse continued for a short time. Until the gang retaliated.

Troy was home alone when a man knocked on his door, revealing a badge this man explained to Troy something he'd never forget. While at the market his mother and father were ruthlessly gunned down by a hit man. Along with several other innocent bystanders whom were caught in the crossfire. Troy was then placed in temporary protective custody under the Sector Rangers for a short while. Eventually his father's gang was brought to Justice, the Rangers doing most of the heavy lifting to finish them. After that Troy was still a minor with no family and couldn't stay in Ranger custody forever. The only place suitable was an orphanage until he grew to be a young man.

Life was hard, Troy grew up fast and the fire within him kept him going. He watched many kids, just like him, some even worse off, fall into the same traps of criminality. However Troy long ago promised he'd walk a different path. After leaving the orphanage Troy would serve in a security detail. A small private agency which took Troy in and trained him for a promised time commitment on Troys part. Making an honest living he'd, for the first time, escape Coruacant. Initially starting out by protecting wealthy merchants aboard their cargo ships as they traveled. Working his way up to protecting up and coming political figures and even the occasional celebrity. After his security commitment was through he left for more of a practical law enforcement field.

With time Troy would serve on more dangerous fugitive hunting task forces. Then merge over to combating drug trafficking and eventually slave trafficking. In time, during his late twenties Troy applied for the Sector Rangers. After having built up a substantial resume he was accepted with the aid of an old bureaucrats good word whom, in his younger years, Troy saved from death back when he worked security details.

He's been loyally serving the Sector Rangers since and has never thought about leaving the agency. It's become his life more than anything else, and the fire still runs rampid within him.
APPEARANCE

Troy is taller than most and often carries about him an imposing stature. His skin has a paleish hue due to his conatant space travel, with rough calloused hands and baggy sleep deprived eyes. His brown hair has streaks of grey running through it, even as an early thirty year old human. The nature of his work being very stressful albeit even if Troy induces a calm demeanor. His body is well muscled and toned because Troy understamds the value of his physical fitness, always trying to maintain his edge over the criminals he pursues.

A man of simple taste one would hardly ever see Troy without his hat. It's special and he'd hurt a man who touched it. He prefers dull, solid colored clothing rather then more artsy and elaborated garments. He's always carrying his standard issue pistol which is holstered to his right hip. As well as an old broken watch his mother gave him a long, long time ago.

POSSESSIONS

"All that hate is gonna burn you up kid." - A keeper at Troy's old orphanage.
