No, 25 actually. No need to be an ass hat about it. I just figured since DC always made her out to be that way, they would find someone who more closely resembled here. Then again they chose Ben Afflek as Batman so....who knows. He does, however, have the chin.

In case you haven't noticed, Gal Gadot also isn't porcelain white, with the build of a female wrestler, with raven black hair dangling over two blue LED lights for eyes.

Being white isn't essential to her character, and despite your weeping over it, neither is having buxom mammaries.

The costume will also probably look nothing like what you're imagining.

Welcome to the dogshit that is this new franchise.

I could care less if she's white. Pale white, for that matter, I didn't even mention that. They're doing the same thing to the Fantastic Four. They are making Johnny Blaze (Human Torch) and the Invisible Woman as black people. (The new spider man in the comics, too) Everything is changing I guess. Everyone is trying to mix things up, make things different, see how people react. Who knows, maybe it's for the best.

You care about the size of her tits because it isn't accurate to the comics, but the fact she's a skinny Israeli woman who looks nothing like what you're describing doesn't bother you because it's not accurate to what you're used to?

You could be a little more concise.

Ultimately both issues are part of the same reasoning, an irrelevant cosmetic difference. It matters about as much as the colour of her skin matters.

Too much white, world is more colourful than that, plain and simple.

Culture is just finally ****ing catching up, but it's still got a long ways to go yet before true progress has been made.

There's no reason for me to be more concise. I'm being serious, for as long as she's been in the franchise they've always been huge. O.o Skinny Isreali woman...I didn't even know who she was, what nationality, etc. I just mentioned boobs. Haha, then it went to a whole new detailed level. But being skinny really wasn't in her MO either...I always saw her as tall and slightly muscular.

She has also always been white, with blue eyes and black hair, do you not see how complaining about the boobs is the same as complaining about those cosmetic aspects?

Did you not see what they changed in the Superman mythology?

This is not the comic books mate.

But they are based on them. Oh well, directors will always have their way in the end I suppose. Comics (actual comics) are a dying breed, movies are replacing them now. People never really refer to the comics for anything other than the name. But, Marvel does an excellent job lately of casting people that look like their super hero counter parts. I don't know, I guess I can't picture a small, petite woman carry around a sword and shield and whooping everyone's ass. The lasso, maybe, but that's about it. I like who they got for superman though.

I'm probably gonna be a bit pedantic here, but that's not Peter Parker, and not even within the mainstream Marvel universe. Miles Morales is a separate character from the ultimate universe, and the reason he got the mantle is... kinda spoiler-y, but you may already know of it.

It's all relative, look at the movie Constantine and what it did with the Hellblazer material.

Or X-Men : The Last Stand and how that bastardised it's material, casting fifty different characters differently when compared to their comic book counterparts.

Look at Hallie Berry's Catwoman film...actually don't do that.

And there are a veritable shit tonne of other films that took comic book material, their own ideas and then threw them in a blender with no lid to see what might stick to the wall, hell, even look at Oldboy and Road to Perdition, inspired by graphic novels not in the superhero vein, but comic books nonetheless.

Films are not comic books, films can be anything the film makers want them to be, even if they're based on pre existing material.

You've got Marvel on one side of the spectrum and then you've got the others I've listed on the other side.

It's anyone's guess how comic book adaptations will end up in the current industry climate.

I don't care about Batman Versus Superman; I like the choice for Superman, and I think Ben Affleck could pull off a good Bruce Wayne if they don't try to Dark Knight it.

But this girl for Wonderwoman? Wonder Woman is not just a STRONG CHARACTER, but a STRONG FEMALE as well. Unless her tits and muscles get bigger and more 'amazonian', then I really don't see how this is going to work.

They will most likely put her on a work out regimen for either slight bulk or lean muscle. Again, breast size for Diana is not that big of a deal. I am actually much more concerned with the costume. If I had my own way she would actually be in a Greek/Roman hoplite/centurion inspired piece that kept elements of her more classic costume of course. Main thing would be to get her out of hot pants and have the costume work from the neck down instead of a one piece swimsuit with armor bust.

Just kinda basing off what I have seen from Fast and the Furious. By coincidence I happen to watch it just yesterday and looking at her she seems really lithe and kinda frail body wise (which was weird to me because she was the "tough chick"). Definitely not a charismatic, strong hero.

But that could just be me.

I was meaning more in the face area when I said fitting the part. She has that Mediterranean look about her.

I'm looking forward to Wonder Woman in The Lego Movie more.

Honestly, I just lost interest in this franchise as most of what I've heard and seen has just been going down hill. I really liked Man of Steal, but now it seems they are just trying to compete with Marvel's Avengers just for the sake of it. Chances are I'll see it and hope to god these are not Spider-Man 3 all over again.

It's easy to go downhill when you start at the bottom.

Unless you are on a sled. then every kid makes fun of you because you brought a cheap old sled to school and couldn't get it up the hill and then you have to cry until your mom comes pick you up and takes you home.

Or maybe we'll all be surprised and the film may turn out actually decent. I won't be holding my breath, but perhaps they can learn from the mistakes in Man of Steal and not repeat them in this.

The only thing that surprises me really is that they went with a relative unknown (I'd say say she still counts as an unknown. Being cast in a few FnF movies is not even close to what I'd consider "stardom"). I'm glad that they didn't go with some generic "America's Sweetheart" white chick like Reese Witherspoon or Anne Hathaway. But, her figure does bother me.

Look, I don't really care what anyone says. Yes, there is more to Wonder Woman than having 'ooge titties, no, having 'ooge titties should not be a requirement for playing Diana, but I do think that her being full-figured is apart of what makes Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman. Perhaps not within the context of how she's been written, and her origins and her pathos and whatever, but certainly in regards to her iconic status, especially among women, many of whom constantly feel like they don't match society's image of "beautiful" if they don't look like an anorexic supermodel.

If January Jones' role in First Class taught us anything, it's that "bulking up" can only help you so much, in trying to fit a certain role. At the end of the day, you really either have the figure, or you don't.

This chick does not.

But whatever. I'm not a DC fan, and I've yet to see anything promising regarding their movies anyway, so I'm pretty much ambivalent watching this train wreck.

Yeah but at the same time, women are being told to also look curvaceous and voluptuous, the notion that women are told to look only one certain way in our society and that is skinny, is ridiculous and entirely out of touch with the reality of being a woman.

So the white knights claiming they stand for female rights by campaigning for curves can go ahead and eat their own dicks, shit them out, and then eat them again.
