Dax felt a little uneasy as the crowd cheered all around the ring. He hadn't expected to be participating when he'd followed the crowd into the arena, but it seemed like a good way to get some credibility with the rest of Raz's clan, most of whom barely knew him. He was still very much the outsider, and stuff like this would surely help get pat that.

The arena wasn't as packed as it had once been, the big fights that most had come to see were over, and much of the crowd had trickled out after that. But there were still more than enough eyes in the arena for it to be embarrassing if Dax made a fool of himself. He wasn't really a wrestler, though he had gotten into more than his share of brawls on Tatooine, he'd just have to make do with what he knew.

So he waited for a someone to step forward to face him, standing in the middle of the ring in just his clothes, having discarded weapons and armor in compliance with the rules of the arena. It was just him against his opponent, the Wookiee officiating the fights had been very serious about that. It was a tradition that went back ages and it wasn't going to change on his watch.

"Alright," Dax muttered to himself as he stretched and warmed up, preparing himself a murmur finally ran through the crowd and someone stepped forwards from within the sea of people, "show time." He had an opponent, it was time to fight.

Rami was high, no, Rami was INCREDIBLY HIGH, and he didn't even know what it was he was on! Some Wookiees he had been partying with before the event had given him some sort of green thing and, to their horror, Rami ate the entire plant given to him. From then on out, everything had been a blur. Now, he found himself walking into some sort of battle circle? Was that another Mandalorian? Where was Rami's shirt?

And vaguely, an idea occurred to Rami, 'Why am I screaming?' Indeed, the Solus Mandalorian was screaming his head off in a battle cry that merged "For Mandalore!" With "AAAAAAHHHH" He looked to the Wookiees, some of them screaming in return, some of them looking confused, and screamed even louder.

Pointing out the other Mandalorian in the battle circle, Rami finally said something coherent, "You're going DOWN boy!"

Finding himself facing off against a shirtless behemoth of a man, Dax wondered if he had bitten off more than he could chew. The only thing he probbaly had going for himself was that the man seemed to be drunk out of his mind, which should help even out the odds in Dax's favor. Oh so very slightly, he thought he recognized the man as another one of Raz's clan-mates and Dax had already learned that it was a bad idea to underestimate them.

"It's now whether or not you go down," Dax began speaking as he bounced on his feet a few times before running in towards his shirtless opponent, "it's whether you go down fighting." It was a stupid saying that his mother had told him a long time ago, on one of the rare occasions she had gotten herself more drunk than her father, but it seemed like an appropriate thing to say right now. There was a very good chance that he was going down, but he was going to make sure he went down with his head held high.

Cutting down the distance between them, Dax bent his knees and lowered his center of mass, and began throwing a few punches at Rami's lower torso.

This was going to be so much fun! Rami was absolutely giddy with the idea of getting into a fist fight in the battle circle. The boy in front of him was saying something, probably outlining the rules? The rules sounded a lot like 'no weapons' and 'beat the shit out of me Rami.' That only made the drugged up Mandalorian laugh even harder as the shirtless man ran at him. Raising his fists, he started watching the boy's movements and prepared himself to react.

The boy moved in, bending his knees and lowering his center of gravity. Immediately, Rami could see where the boy was going to go in, and decided to let him go for it. Keeping his right fist drawn straight back, Rami reached out and aimed to snatch the boy's hair with his left hand the moment the boy landed his first punch on the Mandalorian's lower torso. If his grab was successful, he'd begin pummeling the boy's face in with his right fist with continued strikes to the boy's temple.

If he missed the snatch, which he doubted would be possible as the boy was otherwise occupied with striking Rami, he'd immediately bring his right fist into a savage downward punch instead, throwing his whole body into hitting the back of the kid's head.

Of course, as he made his movements, Rami felt the strong connections of the boy's fists. It drove the air from his lungs despite Rami's clenched abs, but Rami didn't need air to bring the pain.
