DESCRIPTION
The Wookiees of Kashyyyk are a mighty people with armaments to match. The Wookiee slug thrower is a unique weapon in its design that was mass produced during the height of the clone wars by varying clan workshops across Kashyyyk. Today the weapons are still seldom seen by anyone outside of the hunting parties of Wookiees who go into the dangerous parts of their homeworld or embark on important work outside of the system. The Galactic Empire confiscated and destroyed many weapons during their occupation of the Wookiee home world and disarmed as much of the Wookiee pollution. Furthermore, due to the Trandoshan's alliance with the Empire at the time, many remaining products like the Wookiee projectile rifle are now sitting in trophy rooms of hunters or in the collection of black marketers. As such, like bowcasters, these weapons are scrutinized when in possession by anyone other than a Wookiee.With rare cases of these weapons being found on the black market, they are still slug throwers and are highly illegal. Only wookiees are permitted to have them and only in the Kashyyyk system. In fact, the Wookiee projectile rifle is a fairly safe weapon to operate aside from running the risk of getting questioned by a Wookiee and risking your limbs in the process. The rifle is a decent size at compared to other weapons of its class at 81 centimeters long but still serviceable for larger beings like their creators. The grip of the weapon is often made from worshyr wood and wrapped in treated leather though other custom handles are known to be used in commissions. The butt of the rifle allows to to even be shouldered by a Wookiee which improves its already notable accuracy. The heft of the 5 kilogram rifle is akin to that of its cousins and is made mostly of durable bronzium.
A rear trigger engages gas compression to feed into foreword mechanism. Additionally, without the rear trigger pulled, the forward trigger will not be able to be pulled back successfully and will remain locked in place. This requires either some unsafe jury rigging if the shooter wishes to fire only one handed since the weapon lacks a trigger guard.
The reload time on the Wookiee Slug-Thrower forces prolonged reloading as there are a total of 6 compressed gas cartridges along either side of the frame of the rifle. The magazine of the rifle is limited to only 12 shots. A gas cartridge is spent after every two rounds requiring the shooter to manually cycle the rifle's rear trigger which takes approximately a single second to do. Thus it is best to use at range, however the rifle lacks any scope or notable sight. The weapon has the added benefit of being particularly quiet, thought not silent, compared to blaster weapons or other slug throwers. The compressed gas that allows the projectile to fly at high velocity can damage shields and armor to the same degree as most common blasters. Usually this is satisfactory for the Wookiees who have other weapons at their disposal depending on the type of game they are hunting.

To expand on the wookiee culture and relation with technology. More threads will take place on Kashyyyk in the future and this will bring a unique and peculiar slug thrower design from canon to the site. The bowcaster is over a meter long and is a hard hitting slug thrower but I wanted some variety in solid projectiles. Not sure how hard of a rule it is on having slug throwers be light damage but in canon the wookiee slug thrower can pack a punch. Hoped I added some drawbacks that balance it for its benefits.RESTRICTIONS
Due to the nature of the weapon's design, the Wookiee Projectile Rifle, aka Wookiee Slug-Thrower, cannot be be modified in anyway. These weapons are very rare and hard to acquire. Keep that in mind if you want to get one let alone keep it.
