World Cup 2018

So with the FIFA World Cup not far from here and all the qualifiers underway I thought I'd make this thread.

So just out of interest who do you think'll win or qualify by their performances so far? Do you reckon your home nation will get through? Just stuff along those lines.

I wish it wouldn't be in Russia. In the Euros the Russian fans were mad esocially to English fans.

It's alright China is preparing for world war three so I don't think we will get ton 2018. :p

On sporting matters England will qualify with flying colours the whole country will get its hopes up and then fall flat on its face when we realise we are crap and get knocked out in the group stages again.

Netherlands dominated their group during the group stage imo but seemed to struggle at knockout. I was sad to see they ended up third. Germany however kind of swept through at the semi's if I remember right. France put up more of an effort than Brazil did against them, I remember seeing it and by the middle gunning for them to win over Germany. By the end though I was 50/50 between them, and Argentina. Still, they qualified for the Confed Cup, so I'm eager to see how they handle it.

Quite frankly our (Russian) football team sucks. This summer it performed terribly, but we are currently in the process of forming a new team. It would be too much of an embarrassment if we did so badly in our own country.

I'm thinking the top contenders, based on the Euros, and recent performances have to be Italy; Germany; France; Argentina; Chile, Wales, although from what I've seen(which is admittedly limited), Wales has been doing okish in the World Cup qualifiers.
