Name: Noah Foster
Alias: Bulwark
Faction: The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 165 lbs.
Eyes: Green
Hair: Brown
Skin: Pale
Powers: Generation and projection of force fields.
Personality: Noah is known for being reserved and respectful of others. He is a good friend, loyal to the end. Although his generally level-headed and down-to-earth demeanor would not necessarily indicate it, Noah is also an intensely focused and determined person.
History: A drunk driver slammed headfirst into Noah's family's car when he was twelve. His parents and little brother were killed almost immediately, but Noah managed to survive. The authorities couldn't figure out how Noah had escaped the crash without a scratch, but they chalked it up to good fortune and left it at that.
Noah was wracked with guilt after the death of his family. Why had he so cursed to have been left unscathed while his family suffered? A deep depression followed Noah and culminated two and a half years later, when Noah jumped from the roof of a three story building. When Noah opened his eyes after having taken the plunge, he looked around. Again he was left uninjured. Completely mystified, the young man went home and tested his capacity to be hurt. It was then that Noah realized his power.
He hid his ability, rationalizing that it would garner too much attention if he told anyone about it. However, his real reason to avoid using his power was his guilt surrounding his family's death. Noah kept his power to himself for nearly ten years. He watched as the X-Men defended humanity, trying to ally mutantkind with humankind. But Noah knew the truth: humanity was not as good as the X-Men portrayed them to be. His belief in the inherent evil of humankind was fostered by the accident that killed his parents. They were innocent and decent human beings, cut down by another man's evil, and his people, in an attempt to represent him, were defending these savage people.
Disgusted by the X-Men, Noah decided it was time to use his power to do something. No longer could he sit idly by. He sought out and eventually joined the Brotherhood not so much as to protect mutantkind as to oppose the X-Men. Humanity was not worth saving.
