Equipment

Darkstick_negwt.jpg
DE-10.jpg
Xakoxa Only has what he can carry on him by means of equipment. The darkstick inherited to him by the Kerestian is his main melee weapon on Xak, and aside from his fists- his only means of close range combat. After spending nearly a century perfecting his art, Xakoxa has become a master with the weapon, wielding it with ease and skill. The weapon is versatile, acting as a balanced hybrid of a knife, a hatchet, and a boomarang.

The DE-10 blaster he took from his fallen ally Nulo the Twi'lek is his only form of ranged combat at this time. a powerful weapon, Xakoxa has become an adept marksman, allowing him to fell giant prey with well placed blaster bolts to hard to access vital areas like ears, eyes, and underbellies.

Finally, bestowed upon him by the Nightsister clan mother Vyrzhal, Xakoxa possesses a reticulated segment sword known as the Acklay Coil. A sword with ten individual segments that are attached by duralastic allow the sword to separate and become whip-like while maintaining a barbed nature giving each segment a wicked edge that is practically unpredictable.

His clothing is simple and almost barbaric in nature. Scavenged trousers and a beaten kama are all that serve as his clothing and protection from attack.

Pets: Xakoxa has one pet, an adolescent Acklay named "Legs". Legs is a faithful companion of Xak, and has served him well over the years as both a hunting partner, and a docile pet.

Chi is headstrong, violent, and strong as a gundark. She is perfect for the role of personal muscle to Xakoxa Kotaku. She often boasts that "I'm going to kill a sarlacc one day. Just you watch!" usually before tackling another pint of her favorite Dathomiri ale.

Personality
Xakoxa is neurotic. He is averagely quiet, pensive and rarely arrogant or boisterous. Although he has a violent temper, it is a temper that needs to be provoked and once ignited the flame is difficult to squelch. He is blindly vigilant, and will pursue his goal until he can no longer function. Until he finds the apparition that visited him in the past his only known allegiance is to his acklay Legs, who has been a faithful companion for nearly 20 years. Xak is no stranger to death and combat, but will bit his tongue before throwing a punch or pulling a trigger. He can be cynical at times, joking to himself about the way his family was maimed and destroyed, about his their bodies flew and crumbled and cracked. Although not a sadist by nature, he finds comfort in death, knowing that just as his will one day- those he has defeated have ended their journey.

Biography
CHAPTER 1
Xakoxa Kotaku was born to a group of aboriginal nomads on the planet Felucia, to parents he never knew, and a name he never heard. The group that raised him- the members he called “family” consisted of 3 humans, a Twi’lek, a female Zabrak, and an aging Kerestian. The group traveled together, fought together, survived together.- and soon at Xakoxa’s hands… die together. Raises predominantly by the three humans- They went by the names Shok, Rorik, and Mercal. Shok and Mercal were a newlywed husband and wife- Shok being noticeably older than his new bride Mercal. Rorik is Shoks younger brother, closer to Mercal’s age but still older by a few years. The Twi’lek was named Nulo, he was blue and jovial. The hopeful optimist of the family, he had the humor of a Nautilan but lacked the common sense of one. Nulo was the youngest of the group aside from Xakoxa, and displayed his age accordingly and the only one of the group who possessed a blaster, a DE-10. The fellow Zabrak was named Tur’nala. She was old enough to be Xakoxas mother but was a bright orange hue, compared to Xakoxa who was a pale white. Finally we meet the Kerestian: Litwid. The senior of the group, he was nearly 100 basic years old and sagacious in nature. He brought with him his darkstick, the ceremonial weapon of the Kerestian, and possessed the only remaining edged weapon left. While Nulo and Litwid provided protection, the humans acted as surrogate parents to Xakoxa While the Zabrak was standoffish and kept to herself- almost sponging off of the family.

The group remained together for nearly 3 years before Litwid succumbed to his age and passed away in his sleep, informing Xakoxa that he was his rightful spiritual heir, and placed his darkstick in his hand before taking his last slumber. The next morning the family men dug a grave for their fallen elder, and proceeded onward. A young adult by now, Xakoxa had become proficient with his inherited weapon, and watched the Zabrak Tur’nala leave on her own never to be seen again. Left with just the humans and the Twi’lek, Xak watches the world twist inside him. He encounters a woman, a woman with tribal colors and painting. This woman exuded such energy, such power, and such rage from her body; yet she stood perfectly calm and spoke in a calm respectful tone.

“You will rid your future of your past. You belong to the family now. We will see you in due time”

Xakoxa stood their befuddled as the woman disappeared into thin air as the roar of a raging bull rancor echoes in the distance of the brush. Xakoxa returns to his family on the other side of the clearing and before his very eyes, they changed. Nulo was no longer the jovial young boy he knew, he became an angry violent man who had a strangle hold on his group. The humans no longer represented warmth and comfort, but hostility, anger, and regret. The calm serenity that embodied his family, had now become a maelstrom of hate and pain. It was in that moment that he snapped. The rancor he heard in that instant came barreling through the landscape and charge headfirst in a rage filled lust and in one fell swipe of his massive arm, ended the lives of the three humans who raised Xakoxa. Their mangled bodies thrown aside into the brush as Xakoxa and Nulo dive to the side taking cover from the would-be fatal blow. Nulo springs up and placed blaster bolt after blaster bolt in between the rancors eyes until the thermal pack was spent, ending its life. But Nulo underestimated the pure rate at which the rancor was charging, and the beast came tumbling down atop Nulo leaving him trapped below its immense weight. Nulo screamed in pain and horror as his body slowly crumbled below the behemoth atop him. It was then that Xakoxa walked over to his crippled friend, and reached down, grabbing the blaster with his free hand and looked down at the darkstick and the blaster… and walked away. The blood filling bellows become shallow and feint as Xakoxa left his past behind. Left it as a stage of mangled corpses, and a fallen tyrant of the forest. Xakoxa strides on, as the shrieks of his brother, begin to morph into the twisted maniacal laughter of a witchy woman. It was then the woman appeared in front of him again, grinning, giggling to herself as if she were a child at the carnival once more. She walked forward and approached Xakoxa raising a hand to his face, as a vibrant purple aura had emanated from it. As the energy from her hand left her body and entered his she uttered the words:

“Welcome home young one, your family looks forward to unity once you return. When the time is right, you will join us. We will return for you…”

She vanished once more with a sly grin across her face and once more- the discernable howl of that same rancor was heard in the distance. Xakoxa ran as fast as he could where his friends had been slaughtered no more than an hour ago and saw laying there.. Alone …the body of Nulo. The rancor was missing, and Xakoxa was certain what he needed to do. He needed to find the rancor to continue his legacy.

Xakoxa traveled for years across the surface of this world, his aesthetic aging process had grinded to a holt by the power of the woman. The place where his family had once been slain is now just a memory, and although he has passed it countless times in his trek across the planet. After nearly 80 years of traveling and searching, Xakoxa had the chance to challege another formidable foe of the Felucian fauna. An acklay mother and hatchling were hunting on the edge of the sea bank when Xakoxa happened to attract the attention of mommy. Springing into action to protect her offspring, the mother leapt forward lunching its front-most appendages at Xakoxa who in return, reached to his hip and his back, simultaneously grabbing his darkstick and blaster, hurling the blaster forward like a boomarang cleaving the front and middle appendages off of the left hand side of the beast, sending it toppling downward, and with pin point precision before the monster had the chance to hit the ground, put two blaster bolts in each of its three eyes, ending its pain before it felt the dirt below. The hatchling, no bigger than 4 feet tall, cautiously approached Xakoxa who slowly and calmly, reached in his sac for a discarded baz nitch hide. Xak tosses the hide to the acklay and turns to walk away. At that moment the hatchling followed him- and would continue doing so for another 15 years.

The man who was forged in turmoil not knowing a real family, is on his way to discovering the truth. The infernal witch is the only one who can save him now.

Chapter 2

Dathomir was very different from Felucia.

The rancor had returned, and Xakoxa had come face to face with its keeper- her name was Vyrzhal, and she was the clan leader of the Nightsister's of Dathomir. After a duel of fate that displayed his power and will, she informed him that he was the embodiment of the Fanged God- the male deity found in Nightsister lore. With this new information, Vyrzhal made Xakoxa an offer to lead the Nightsister and their underlings the Nightfist beside her as a duo of power and reverence. Accepting the offer, he embarked on his trip to Dathomir with his new family towards his destiny as the Nightfather. Lord of Dathomir.

Upon arriving at Dathomir, He was greeted by a room full of occultist followers, all poised and ready to throw their well being at his feet. Meeting 2 new individuals in general: Elder Shaman Yota, and Master Ranger Zoie- Xakoxa got his first taste of his right of passage when he was put to the test. His kinship with creature-kind was put on display for the whole coven to see when the Clan Mother and Yota required Xak to befriend a savaging bull rancor just outside the stronghold walls. The battle ensues as the rancor swung its mighty arms attempting to exile this trespasser from both the Nightsister world and the living world all the same. The creature tried its very hardest, but when Xakoxa found his opening, he climbed atop the gargantuan creature and with soothing word and tender touch, the beast became calm... going from feral to docile in a moments notice, Xakoxa's abilities were now clear to all. He was able to sway even the most ferocious beast of Dathomir with his words and touch, and that was something the Nightsister's needed.

Not long after the ceremony Xakoxa was taken to Shaman Elder Yota's domicile to be given his right of passage... At that moment he insisted on taking a pilgrimage into the wilds of Dathomir to become one with the planet as he had on Felucia. Granted, he had a century of time to experience Felucia's intricacies and beauty- but he had to do just the same in a single nights time. The Clan Mother and Yota insisted that Xakoxa take an escort- That was when Xakoxa met The Unkindness.

The Unkindness was his group of special warriors committed to his safety, and serve as his personal task force. Consistent of Grav, the male Hunter, an expert with a bow, and a master of tracking. Next was Chi, the female warrior. She was petite by most standards, but she wielded her weapons with pin point precision, and had the drive to tackle a sarlacc by herself if given the opportunity. Then Arthas the shadow-killer. Arthas was capable of sneaking up on the light itself and while calm quiet and stoic in his personality, blindly loyal to his cause and his master. Finally, there's Bovee. A shaman adept, specializing in defensive conjuring and healing. She was very proficient at keeping her team healthy and vital during combat with her enchantments, but was more than capable of bestowing damage on anyone who threatened her or her companions.

With this, Xakoxa began stacking his team. Grav, Chi, Arthas, Bovee, and Legs. Now it was time to lead his companions into battle against his enemies and build the glory of the divinely inspired Nightsister of the Stormstride.
