Personality Flaws: With a low self esteem his accomplishments are downplayed in his mind and his overall self worth is something that can be questioned. He has a major fear of losing those whom he loves and cares for, causing him to have fits of emotional distress when they are put in harm's way or even leading him to tap slightly into the dark side to make sure they're safe.
Intellect: He is somewhat of a quick wit, catching things quickly and being very perceptive about small details. He is somewhat slow on learning languages, and prefers to simply wear a translating earpiece.
Strength: His strength is on par with most of his peers, although slightly less so when compared to a cisgendered humanoid male in his prime due to body limitations though this can be corrected through the force. Strength training wasn't the main focus of his training and is treated as such.
Constitution: To make up for his average strength his endurance is taken to a near extreme, naturally having a lot of stamina to perform the high energy bursts of quick movements preferred in combative situations. Xander has a very clear vision of how the world should be, and respects laws and traditions as they exist to serve a purpose even if Xander does not see it right away. They want to believe in the best of others, though they are hardly naive and are quick to oppose anyone that has unjust motives. Their ultimate goal, though silly to some, is to be seen as the "big brother"-type. His major concerns are for others rather than himself. His main motive to serve as a jedi is to protect those who cannot protect themselves, in addition the order has his loyalty due to the fact that they acted as a family to him while growing up and the only home he has decent memories in would be the jedi temple where he was trained. He seems to be introverted, focusing internally and liking to be in quiet spaces to think.
He strives to be accepted and to be loved. He wants to fit in with the majority and will do most anything in his power to do just that.
BIOGRAPHY:
Xander, born Xana, hadn't grown up on his species' home planet of Rattatak. Rather they lived on the planet of Hutta, being taken there soon after being born as his father was a pirate hoping to work with the hutt cartel. Soon after organizing a deal however Xander's father was shot dead for also dealing with rival factions of the hutts in secret. That would leave Xander's mother, Nicha Rel, to raise their then daughter. Xander was shown to be force sensitive at a very young age, being only three when force abilities became apparent.
These abilities would later lead a group of jedi to seek out the young Rattataki in an attempt to have them be properly trained in the ways of the force.
Xander was taken into the jedi order soon after being found, beginning training at age four; barely turning so at the time of being found. Xander had been too young to understand the full scope of the situation presented to them at the time, only knowing that his family had grown much bigger very rapidly in the form of the jedi order and it's initiates.
The Rattataki had discovered their gender dysphoria at the age of twelve, taking on the name Xander in place of Xana in addition to taking on male pronouns. This change was accepted by their master, a Mirialan named Cifoz, as she thought of it as the padawan truly finding who they were in the force.
While under the teaching of Cifoz, Xander made it a point to learn the lightsaber form of Niman. This special attention was made to learn said form to give a good offense while weaving in force moves into lightsaber sequences. Niman had been a favored form Xander's master and as such was adopted by the padawan.
Through the many years of training Xander had become extremely proficient with Niman, almost at the level of his master by the end of his days as a padawan. As his combative skills improved so did something else, his ability to lie to those around him. He wanted to become a Jedi Knight desperately, but his emotions; his passion when people he cared for would be hurt, his need to feel safe and his need that others be safe; had hindered that effort until he learned to control it.. or at least hide it.
Early on in his training he started the process of hiding these feelings, gradually over many years as to make it seem like a more natural change in personality. He still kept his protective nature, though slowly grew more professional as a jedi. His emotions would still pour out, though not as much as they had while just starting out. He became introverted, focusing his emotions inward and bottling them to a degree with the ultimate goal of becoming a jedi knight and protecting others to the best of his ability.
Xander's trials as a padawan had ended with the final test being a mission given to him and his master. They were sent on a simple mission to snuff out a rogue group of mandalorians that had began harvesting kyber crystals to sell. Their mission was to secure the location the mandalorians had set up camp in if possible.
An attempt was made on the group's camp in a stealthy manner, which was met with violence upon discovery when Xander had accidentally been seen by one of the mandalorians. a full on fight had begun, the two jedi igniting their blades to deflect blaster fire as they moved to cover. They were pinned down for a good few minutes before Xander jumped out from the cover, deflecting blaster bolts quickly then throwing his saber at the group. A blue disc of light flew from the jedi padawan's hand, cutting some of the mandalorian's weapons as a distraction as Cifoz came around disabling the rest of the group through disarming them with a focused force pull.
After the success of the final mission Xander had taken one of the stolen kyber crystals and used it as a base to make another lightsaber identical to his previous one. Training efforts were then put into learning Jar'kai dual blade fencing.
After participating in the Tournament of Tarei Xander exiled himself from the Jedi Order. He just left, not saying goodbye to anyone, not even his Wyrwulf padawan Pojo. During the duel His darker more emotional side seeped through, the side of himself he tried to hide for years just to become a jedi knight. He felt lost. He left the only home he's ever known.
SKILLS:
Form VI: Niman - Expert. Niman was seen to be used as the offensive form chosen by the young jedi, Xander's application of this form would be to off balance enemies with the force then close in with quick strikes. As niman was a jack of all trades style of fighting there was no specialization in any one aspect of combat. Through the eleven years of training in the form Xander became somewhat of a master in the form which eliminated some of the downsides though not all.
Force Assisted Acrobatics - Adept. Being the very backbone of Xander's preferred fighting tactic training in force augmentation was done heavily to make up for the natural weakness that Niman has, offering more speed when striking or quicker reactions.
Force Healing - Moderate Skill. Wanting to serve as the protector that the jedi are made out to be, time was put into learning the art of force based healing. This skill was learned to be used on one's self when there was a break in combat or on others as needed.
Telekinesis - Expert to a degree. Telekinesis was never taken past what a padawan would learn in its extent, rather Xander trained in execution speed over the power able to be put into pushes, pulls, etc. to better fit with his use of it in niman.
Cooking - Novice. More of a novelty than anything else, and even though he lived in a world where people can simply have droids cook for them, Xander thought learning the basics of how to prepare food could be fun and decided to do so starting at age fifteen.
Jar'Kai Fencing - Moderate Skill. Only recently picking up the fighting style finding ways to perform power blows, or really just wield two weapons at once, is still something he would need to work on. Jar'Kai is rarely used despite it always being an option, and is used to surprise opponents with the appearance of a second blade in the middle of combat more than anything else.
GEAR:
A black form fitted robe worn under a set of basic black tactical armor in the form of shoulder pieces and leg armor.
Two cyan lightsabers, one being a standard saber with a heavily engraved shroud and handle and the other being a near identical copy.
A comlink that has a built in translator is worn in the right ear at all times to help aid in communications with other species of which Xander does not know the language of.
A chest binder is worn under his clothes at almost all times, not feeling that body modification to simply flatten his chest was needed.
