Xu of Clan Krig

Name: Xu Krig
Age: 22
Species: Mustafarian (Northern)
Height: 6’5
Weight: 175 lbs.
Homeworld: Dromund Kaas
Force Potential: Yes, and trained.

Biography:

The Krig Clan were once warriors and protectors of Mustafar, renowned for their fearless skill in battle. While no one tribe could tame the wilds of Mustafar on their own, the Krigs were nearly peerless, barbaric fighters; they were just as likely to conquer another tribe for tribute as they were to protect their kinsman from the monsters that lurked across the burning world. They kept a dark secret, unknown to all but the most powerful of their clan: They derived their power from a malformed worship of the Dark Side on Mustafar. They claimed accursed “holy sites” from across the planets’ caves, murderous relics used by Sith Lords of past ages. When their worship of such unholy power was discovered, they were exiled from the world by a union of the clans.

All clans on Mustafar must know how to mine, to some degree. Their knowledge of Mustafar’s traditional warrior ways made them able blacksmiths, as well. This, combined with their worship of the Dark Side, brought them to the attention of a minor Sith Lord on Dromuund Kaas. For a generation, their numbers dwindled as they struggled to make this new, hostile land their own; whether being murdered by petty Sith or devoured by wildlife, the harsh lands of Dromuund Kaas filtered out their weakest. When hope seemed weakest, the Force delivered an odd blessing: A force-sensitive child. Named “Xu,” for the mythical founder of the Krig Clan, he was immediately taken into the custody of the Sith Lord. Force sensitivity was rare amongst his people, and Mustafar’s arcane connection to the force was of potential value to his secretive Lord.

Despite his limited contact with his clan while training, he grew into a proper Krig man. His Sith master groomed his bloodlust turning him into a potent warrior with ease. He also learned the secrets of Mustafarian mining and smithing from his clanmates - a skill he was allowed to train to better serve his lord. In secret, he was taught by his clan’s priestess and lorekeepers of their ancient heritage and his birthright. Over the years, his skill in the Force was honed - as was his hatred. He despised the way the well-to-do elite of the Sith Empire looked down upon him for his clan’s servitude and his “primitive” alien heritage. He loathed the climate of Dromund Kaas, which forced him to wear a painful breathing mask for the entirety of his existence. His hatred gave him purpose: He channeled his hatred to his deprived of his birthright of Mustafar, the home of his people and a locus of Dark Side energy.

Eventually, his training reached its natural conclusion. His master learned of his secret meetings with his clan and demanded they cease, so that Xu could immerse himself in the teachings of Sith. In response, Xu killed his master, and seized what he could of his master’s holdings in the ensuing succession crisis. His clan now served a number of potentates within the Empire, spread across Dromund Kaas and the galaxy. Xu now has a real taste of freedom, for the first time in his life. Armed with little more than his lightsaber and willpower, he seeks to reunite his clan and seize power within the treacherous, mutable landscape of the Sith Empire.

Personality:

Xu is a rather stressed dynast. All his life, he has learned of his great purpose, his destiny, to restore order to Mustafar. Meanwhile, he has been instructed in the ways of the Sith; that power alone dictates, and it is only through pain and hatred that power is formed. This mish-mosh of educational styles has produced a great deal of rage within Xu, one which he can barely contain and channels into violent acts reguarly. However, it has also produced in him a great respect for power, and the Force which grants it. He sees all of creation as an extension of the Force’s will, and the Sith the greatest manifestation of it. He respects all who have wisdom to share about the nature of the Force - whether that is Jedi, Sith, Dathomirian, or non-Force users - but he is incredibly quick to anger and cruelty, as well. He tries to balance this spiritual adherence to the force with the secular realities of Sith: he has little skill in the political arena, which he must acquire should he ever lead Mustafar. He despises the deceitful nature of his fellow Sith, as the spirit of his “fiery planet burns away deception,” opting for direct confrontation when possible.

Appearance:

Xu looks like a typical Northern Mustafarian. He is tall and lean, with wrinkly, gray skin and bright, red eyes. Around his eyes are orange and red tattoos, indicating the status of his clan. He is typically clad in either the shamanic robes of his tribe or in his homemade light armor.

Gear:

Lightsaber: 1 double-bladed lightsaber

1 x personal starship

1 x environmentally sealed light armor (reskinned flight suit)

Abilities & Skills:

STR: High DEX: Med CON: Low WIS: High INT: Medium CHA: Low

Xu has been trained in a variety of skills befitting a young Sith. He is a more than capable fighter - preferring an aggressive, acrobatic style befitting his long, lean frame. Further, he is quite skilled in the Force, both in its telekinetic capacities and its in more esoteric and alchemical properties. His deep spirituality has connected him to the Force, and while he is still a student rather than a master of its secrets, he has a relationship of respect to the Force. He is further skilled as a smith and tinker, capable of forging a variety of useful personal armors and minor droid repairs, and can maintain his personal ship with relative ease.

However, the depths of his rage and coldness make him an altogether unpleasant personality. This is coupled with his bluntness, which leave him altogether predictable and less cunning than his peers. His wiry frame is also fragile - if his first, unrelenting assault is to fail, he is rather vulnerable. His easily-wounded pride is also quite exploitable.
