She nodded once, and gestured for him to follow her. No doubt being in a public space wouldn't do well, but she couldn't help but feel what he felt. The anger. The need for vengeance. All these toxic emotions had to be addressed... and the last thing this young man seemed to need was to be coddled in his emotions.

So she would deal with it in the best grace she knew how.

She waited until they were in an empty chamber, then shut the door behind her, looking to the Padawan with patient eyes.

"I am sorry for imposing like this... but I couldn't help feeling that you seemed out of sorts. Can I help with anything?" Playing patiently, watching his expressions and body language carefully. He seemed a man teetering on the edge; she would do her best to help him step back from it. After all their losses, such a reaction with grief was understandable.

She herself was no stranger to loss.

Drastus' mind was racing a thousand miles an hour. Had he been made? Was he going to get executed? Was she a Sith in disguise? The only thing that played on his face was pure shock. "I uh.. what do you mean? I'm totally fine. Like ya know." he would try to offer a very unconvincing grin. "I'm Drastus." he said with a shrug, though the words were quiet. "I'm uh... trying to cope. My Master died at the Temple.."

The young man's face was vaguely familiar. Somewhere perhaps on Ajan Kloss, she had seen him in the throng, but mentioning his master recalled a face to the Pantoran. A sweet woman. Good with her students... and it seemed, special to her padawan. She didn't smile back at Drastus' uncertain grin, but clear understanding shone in patient golden eyes.

"Master Sati. I'm sorry we didn't meet under better circumstances, Drastus," she spoke, and hesitated.

Lightly, her hand would rest on his shoulder. A firm, assuring touch. I'm sorry for your loss wouldn't cut it. There was something about the young man's face that spoke to her, reminded her of someone. Felix. The young padawan's face rose to her mind, and internally she sighed. Was she forever to be drawn to lost waifs? It seemed likely.

"You miss her." An understatement, but a nod of understanding from the Master. "It's never something anyone understands, losing someone that meant a world to you." She knew that feeling all too well; she felt like lecturing the young man would only end up driving him away. So she would sit, and listen.

Be an ear and a shoulder, as the Order should do.

"Tell me about it," she offered, settling on the floor and patting a spot by her side. "I remember her vaguely, but I'd like to know her from your view. If you have time."

"Yeah, well.. We don't get to choose what happens to us, yeah?" He'd say, though he nearly tensed at the touch on his shoulder. He'd sigh, as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. It was supposed to be calming, but he didn't think it ever worked for him. To Indy, however, she could feel the pain lessen just a bit.

He would then lower to the ground beside her, taking a casual lean, still trying to put up some sort of facade. after another short sigh, he leaned forward. "I miss her everyday.. Master Zurast.. she saved me from a bad situation I was caught up in." As he spoke his right hand would rub his left and heavily tattooed forearm. "I.. She, was the closest thing to a mother I've ever had. I know such emotions are frowned upon, but.. I couldn't help it. She saved me.. and I couldn't even return the favor."

She tilted her head slightly, listening calmly for a little while. There was a lot settling on this young man's shoulders, grief especially prevalent, but anger, deep-seated, and hatred. Yes... it was easy to hate the Sith. Far easier to hate an entity that dwelled in anger, pain and sorrow, to resent the loss of a parent, whether blood or otherwise. She could understand his sorrow... and felt the urge to lecture, but instead waited.

"Who says we aren't allowed to feel?" she asked him quietly, cocking her head. "Who says we can't grieve or mourn those that have passed, or feel regret?" She settled her gaze at him, calm, without judgement, and sighed, leaning against the wall.

"I nearly lost two of the people I love," she answered calmly, gaze panning to one of the halls. "If I wanted to, I could hate and blame the Sith for this. I could easily feel anger at the injustice, the abuse and murder they brought." But then her gaze panned back to him, a level gaze. Her features were calm.

"What your master did was brave. She saved so many of our Order. Like many before her, she chose you to survive, us to survive." She settled back, letting him think it over for a while. She could take anger, heated debate, but he would see she didn't judge him for his emotions.

If anything, she seemed sympathetic.

He mulled over her words for a moment, deep in thought. What she said, made sense. In fact, it would align with exactly what he knew Master Zurast would say. He appreciated that she didn't push, that she was patient. He, himself, knew all of his emotions were bringing him to a dangerous territory. A crossroads.

"Truthfully, Master.. I don't know what to do.. I think that's what worries me the most.." now his hands were clasped as his arms draped around his knees. "I want to fight.. to get revenge.. but what if I make it worse? Master Zurast, she had the plan, the guideline.."

She waited a couple beats, allowing his words to settle through her own thoughts. Truth be told, it wasn't too far removed from her own doubts, not too long ago. She smiled slightly. Strange how the Force worked. "I was the same way, not too long ago," she replied calmly, linking her hands together.

"My specialty is history, finding artifacts for the Order. I had no plan, no future. As a Knight, I thought it was enough." She glanced back to the Padawan, golden eyes contemplative. "Revenge... it seems like the answer, doesn't it?" she replied calmly, watching the young man shift. "But it never will be, not even in the small scale of things. It's... a hole." Her hand settled lightly over her chest. "It'll devour you. But the choice of the path forward is yours. And if you want to do as your Master has trained you so far..."

She looked at his face squarely, expression calm, hands now folding in her lap.

"I'd be willing to teach you, and then you can learn from there what you'd want to do in service of your Master Zurast."

His eyes would lock with hers as she spoke before they drifted downward. He would be quiet for many heartbeats and she could not only see, but feel the internal struggle within. "Alright, Master.. I accept your offer. Though.. you should know, I'm.. broken. Some Knights on Kloss believed my skill in the Force to be laughable and despite her best efforts most attempts failed.." she could tell by the tone that he was very embarrassed.

She nodded along, giving him a slightly raised brow at his comment of being broken. "Says who? Everyone fails, kid." She spoke this calmly, nodding back to the chambers, where numbers of their order milled, still listening to the discussion. "Even those around the table. The strength you have in the Force has nothing to do with failure or success; it's learning to adapt, use what you have. And trust." She met his gaze squarely.

"We've only just met, so I doubt you trust me. But we'll work together to find your strengths, young Drast." She held out her hand, grinning.

"And hopefully I'll prove worthy to teach you."

"I may not trust you off the bat.. but I trust that you have my best in your heart. I trust in the Order and what we're doing." He'd take her hand. "Master Sati.. I'd be honored to learn from you." He'd say with his confidence returning.

Was he fixed? No. Was his hate and anger fully gone? No. But Indy would be able to feel that she made an impact. Where it was full darkness, she could once more feel light. The boy had hope.
