Skills:
Yi is an adept at the force and is thought to be one of the most potent force users in the entire Jedi order. He also has a vast amount of knoweldge, regarding the common planets and species so that if he gets in a battle, he knows exactly what to exploit with his opponent and with his surroundings.

Lightsaber Forms:
Yi has mastered the Makashi form, as the free flowing way of the form allowed to make up for his lack of dexterity. He has also mastered his own form, a very altered way of Jar'Kai called Jar'Quermian which utilizes the use of all four of his arms at once.

Strengths:
Yi's strength is obviously in his ability to control the force and in his knowledge of anything important to battle. His four arms also allow for an easier defense and harder offense, while his amazing height allows him to see over lots of things. He is also believed to be a strong speaker, though this has yet to be proven.

Weaknesses:
Yi's well documented weakness lies in his lack of mobility, though this is made up for by his own lightsaber form and his four arms. There are many vulnerable points on his body, more than a normal person, which makes him a great target for an unsuspected shot.

Gear:
  • 4 lightsabers (green, blue, yellow, violet)
  • Very long Jedi Masters robes (brown)
  • Hand held translator for languages he does not yet know
Personality:

Yi is cryptic. He likes to talk in code and make people think about what he is saying rather than only hearing what he is saying. Very rarely will he give somebody a straight answer, and often his responses can make them think about themselves.

He can also seem very boring at times, though his job is not to excite people, rather to instruct them. His voice is always the same tone, with no sense of boredome or excitement.

History:
Yi was born on the outer rim planet of Quermia to parents who did very little and enjoyed doing it. Many of his species had the ability to telepathically communicate to eachother, a technique that they had learned seemingly on their own. Yi was taught this ability from his father, who was viewed as a mad man by the rest of the world. He believed in a thing called the force, a presence which binded all living things together. He theorized that anything could be done by believing in this presence and said he received this news upon visit by a man who called himself Jedi. He wanted to send Yi to find this Jedi in hopes that there were more like him.

Luckily, Quermia was one the edge of a trade route and Yi managed to be smuggled aboard a cargo ship by his father. Who gave him best wishings by blessing him with the force. By chance, the ship that he was on was on its way to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and by an even greater amount of chance, the man that had ordered the cargo was the Jedi who had visited his father before. Even more peculiar, his name was actually Jedi; Vix Jedi. Vix found Yi in the back and asked him why he was there, to which Yi said that his father sent him to find the Jedi, that he was from Quermia and his father was the only one that believed they existed. Vix said that he knew Yi's father and wanted to train Yi as a Jedi.

As it turned out, Vix was on the Jedi council at the time and was one of the best in terms of force powers. It was here that Yi learned mostly all of his force powers besides the extremely difficult ones, such as dreamscape, which were self taught much later on in his life. Vix also taught Yi the basics of the Makashi lightsaber form and all the beliefs of the Jedi and all about the force itself. Yi was pleased to know that his father was actually right about most of his theories and decided that he would go back to tell him this.

However, he would not get the chance to go back home any time soon as he was promoted to Jedi Knight after a mission gone bad killed a few of their own. Now Yi had the opportunity to take missions, lead missions and train some padawans. During this time, Yi honed his skills with the force, becoming a master of its ways and becoming nearly as powerful as his old master. He also travelled around the galaxy, visiting planets he had never heard of such as Dantooine, Nar Shaddaa and Concord Dawn to help civil disputes on those worlds.

After he had finished training his first batch of padawans, Yi finally made his way back home and set up a world wide assembly to report on his findings. When he informed the world that his father was correct the entire time, that the force did exist and it did hold all life together, they all became unruly and wanted a proof that it did exist. The best way for him to show this was through the self learned power plant surge. He brought the entire forest around them, seemingly, to life and moved the limbs around freely and almost unrooted some of them to show his new power. Due to his showing of the force, Yi's father was seen as a prophet amongst the rest of the world and was looked up to as the figure head of Quermia.

Upon his return to Coruscant, Yi found out that he would be partaking in a mission with Vex, his master to Yavin IV, the planet which held great amounts of darkness due to the Exar Kun events with the Massassii. They had no idea what would transpire there, but would find out quickly that there was a Lord of the Sith attempting to ressurect Kun's undead army. Vex and Yi engaged the Sith Lord in a fierce duel to stop him from bringing back the army, and in the fierce battle, Vex, a wielder of two lightsabers, was cut in half by the Sith. Shaken, Yi picked up both his master's lightsabers and now wielded four, one in each hand, to combat the Sith. Yi found himself easily overwhelming his enemy and was able to strike him down momentarily, the opponent not able to get around his four lightsaber defense.

The mission a success, but with a great loss at his hands, Yi brought the body of Vex Jedi back to the Jedi Council. He was given a ceremonial cremation and a replacement was named to his spot on the Council, while Yi was made a Jedi Master for his efforts against the Sith Lord. Yi would take this time to train more padawans, learn more about the galaxy and the force and perfect his four lightsaber form.

After a very long time as a normal master, a new war loomed ahead and a strong council was once again needed. Yi was promoted, amongst many others to have a chair in the council chambers, a seat he did not take lightly. He immediately began studying up on past events, patterns and any weaknesses in the Sith lines.

Its basically a good force lightning, so it could in theory have been used at this time just as easily.
