Welcome to SWRP, Jester! I'm probably a bit rusty myself, as I've been gone for a while, so no worries there.

We don't have a chat box or anything akin to it. We've found that they can have a negative impact on forum activity, as everyone tends to use them to communicate rather than post in the appropriate threads or sub-forums. Many members use Skype to discuss plots and such, but even then, the forum and the 'conversation' feature (private messages) are the primary means of communication.
