PERSONALITY: Yoml Miolt is a curious man above all else. He goes wherever his curiousity leaves him, be it across the galaxy, or to the nearest library. He craves knowledge as well, and will gladly research but prefers to experience things if he has the choice. Yoml loves animals of all kinds and is gifted in caring and befriending them. His calm, soothing nature towards others makes him easy to get along with. Yoml prefers peaceful negotiations to violence, and has never held a weapon other than a tranquilizer in his life.
HISTORY: Yoml Miolt led an average childhood on Mrlsst. He had a mother and a father, two sister (one older and one younger) and a little brother. He went to school to learn, played with his friends, then, while his siblings would stay out, he would return and help his parents in their little pet shop. There were the usual anoobas, peko pekos, pittins, fish, and sometimes an occasional baby nerf or something strange like that. Now, as the brown feathers of youth were gone from his hair, the animal Yoml most remembered was a jubba bird they once had. He was entertaining, to say the least. Basically, he hated everyone... but felt an equal to Yoml and would show his intelligence. It had a beautiful song, but it was old when Yoml befriended it and didn't last to long. After that, he began his adventures.
Yoml wasn't satisfied to just know where these animals that gave his life meaning were from. He wanted to see. And so, after his primary and secondary schooling was over, he was almost 20 years old. Still a brown feathered youth, he left planet one day to "study in the field" as he told his parents. For 2 years, he stayed in Naboo, plodding softly through the swamps and cooing to its animals. They would come close and he would give them a morsel from his lunch, calming them, learning from them, teaching them. He climbed the trees to get a closer look at the pom hoppers without scaring them. He enjoyed Naboo, but wanted to see more. He traveled to the fields of Alderaan, marvelling at its majestic beasts. He stayed there for another 2 years, studying, and self-teaching himself.
Finally, he traveled to Ithor. It was absolutely the most beautiful planet he ever set foot on. The huge trees stood proud and tall, and he made his home in the floating cities, not wanting to disobey the Ithorians customs. Still he tamed some Manollium birds and befriended some shamarock flitters, teaching the Ithorians all he knew from his journeys and studies. He was greatly accepted there for his knowledge and eventually became a tour guide there, leading tours and doing shows with his new animals pals. He soothed the children who were afraid of his arrak snakes, and educated the people about the planet of Ithor and its animals. For 8 years, Yoml Miolt he continued for it felt more like home than any world he could possibly go to now. The air felt fresher than any other, the Ithorians peaceful and accepting, and the world itself soothing to him. He loved it there.
One day, as he was leading a routine tour with a skiff full of eager tourists, he recieved some news. A man remained in the skiff after the others left. Yoml went over to speak to him, make sure he was okay.
"You are Yoml Miolt, correct?" the man asked, his ornate blue robe covering his eyes.
"Yes," Yoml nodded, not quite catching where this was going.
The hooded man explained to Yoml that he had great potential to use the Force. His ability to connect with the animals, soothe people who were afraid, and balance on the branches of the slimy trees in the swamps of Naboo. So much more could be accomplished if he would seek further training. It took a few days for Yoml to accept this. He discussed it with some friends of his. They agreed he should check it out. Yoml had to leave his job on Ithor and began to travel again, looking this time for a teacher, a master...
