In the absence of oversight from the New Republic or the Alliance, many planets faced troubles they had taken for granted. Law enforcement was lax and the dissolution of the Sector Rangers meant that corruption and crime were at an all time high in the Core. This meant that the Jedi workload had grown exponentially, which was a good and bad thing. The Order had a chance to show their value to the galaxy, but more crime was never a good thing.
While Ezra was focused on his own corporation, he still had Jedi missions to fulfill in between his studies. He took this one on because it sounded intriguing and two, selfishly, it could allow him to set down some roots on a critical Core planet. He was assigned to work with another Knight and he could only hope it wasn’t someone obnoxious. A snooty man by nature, Ezra was quick to judge others.
The Thorne was dressed in civilian clothes, along with some shades and a hat to keep his identity on the down low. He didn’t need randoms on the streets pointing out how he was the ISC President’s son. The mission report said that the governor’s daughter had gone missing and was believed to be kidnapped. There were rumors about how an extremist group may have been involved - one that was trying to incite a civil war.
Ezra waited at a caf shop in Hanna City, preparing to go meet with the Governor after his companion arrived.
