Background
| Founded in 1,022 ABY, ZeeGear is a very new company on the Galactic Market. The Eriadu based company has made its name among the locals and in nearby systems by creating security droids and providing datanet security programs. Reasonable prices combined with quality products drove this company to recognition within the successful first year of its existence. Despite the mystery surrounding the name and appearance of its founder, several protocol droids have acted as the front of the company in public. To most this only speaks to the company's quality and raises very little suspicion. Humble beginnings placed this company on the backwater planet with only two factories and a small office building to call home. They also ran all off-planet sales via their two BFF-1 Bulk Freighters. The company was small compared to the companies that brought the more common droids, but they worked for a stronger future. Various want ads had spread throughout the rim, looking for all sorts of positions to be filled at ZeeGears. The sentient workforce would likely have grown quite diverse from the start. The founder of ZeeGears, unknown to the public, is Sephian Tyris. With a background as a Galactic Alliance Technician, and an independent career in droid maintenance, he was the perfect man to start this company. Behind closed doors, the company has much higher goals than profit margins. For each Security droid sold another was placed in storage. Raising an army to stand against the Imperium is no simple task, and may take years of expansion and secretive droid production to become any kind of real threat. Sephian goes under the alias of Gear Head to help keep the Sith from discovering the company's ties to the Galactic Alliance. |
Goals
Long Term - ZeeGear Manufacturing works towards the long-term goal of creating a droid army capable of helping resistance cells defeat the Imperium. This is their main, and very hidden, agenda. - Eventually the company wishes to become an industry giant in the Galaxy that is most people's first thought when they consider buying a droid. Short Term - Short term, ZGM is interested in expanding their production capabilities and developing new models of droids to sell. They desire profits to help build their company. This goal of course coexists with the long term goals by giving them more ability to produce quality soldiers. - The Company is very interested in obtaining contracts around the rim to gain clients, and of course credits. - Complete development of ZeeGear Model Droids to put on the market |

Important NPCs
| "GH-3PX" A modified 3PX Series Protocol Droid that is used as Gear Heads Liaison to his employees. It is programmed to both fight well and understand most languages. It is a capable droid that is much more than meets the eye. GH-3PX is the highest form of authority within ZeeGear besides the owner. It only answers to Gear Head himself, who is unknown to most. |
