Born on Corellia the oldest child to a generational CorSec family, Zekk was raised to believe in Peace and Justice above all else. As a child he explored the woods behind his family home with a vaguely blaster shaped stick, pretending that he was hunting down dangerous lawbreakers and foiling plots aimed to bring down the planet that he called home. His father encouraged these games, even joining in frequently in order to teach his oldest son through games the proper way to recon an area, move silently, handle weapons, breach a door, handle a suspect, and how to survive inthe wilderness. As he grew older Zekk was joined by his younger brother and sister, increasing the size of his imaginary CorSec task force to a level where he took on his role as the older brother and started to teach them the same lessons his father taught him. By the time he was 11 his play had started to draw in other children from the neighborhood, and Zekk found himself controlling a small army of children.

The small forest was soon a series of haphazard buildings slapped together by small hands from broken down boxes, scrounged pieces of wood, and whatever other building materials they could get their hands on. During the months where school was not in session, and after school until sunset the neighborhood children swarmed the area where they pretended to be the noble Republic and Rangers taking on the evil Sith and their allies. When he was able Zekk's father joined them, happy to pass on his skills and join in the imaginary war that was a constant in this small slice of childhood. But like all things it would end as Zekk grew and began to yearn for something more.

On his 13th birthday Zekk was gifted a zapball kit by his father, a swiftly growing in popularity sport where two teams fought with toned-down stun bolts in small arenas. His mother, with a small smile on her face, took him outside and showed him the small target range that she had put together for him to practice on. She pulled him close and with a conspiratorial whisper told him she'd teach him how to shoot and that no matter what his father said she outscored him at every range day. The new teenager fell into his new sport with a passion, and with his father's tutelage in tactics and his mother's lessons in marksmanship he soon became the terror of the local course. If he wasn't at school or sleeping, Zekk did nothing but play.

He soon joined an organized league where he was invited to play for the Coronet Hounds, and by the time he was 16 he led the league in opponents eliminated, games won, and lowest number of times eliminated. At 18 Coronet University offered him a full scholarship for their zapball team, but torn between his love of the game and his family legacy, Zekk chose his legacy, and enrolled in the CorSec Academy. While enrolled he obtained high marks in Marksmanship, Anti-terrorist Tactics, Investigation, Tracking, Leadership, Ground and Air Vehicle Combat, Survival Tactics, and Technological Exercises, while earning passing marks in CQC Combat, Astological Navigation, Negotiation Tactics, Traffic Enforcement, and Defensive Tactics.

After graduating the Academy Zekk worked a beat in the Treasure ship row sector in Coronet, where he earned a small bit of notoriety for taking down a Death Stick smuggler who had been pushing for a gang war between the notoriously volatile Burning Ember Organization and their rivals the Twin Sun. By removing the smuggler Zekk was able to prevent an underground war that would have cost hundreds of lives and would have destroyed the Row. For this he was recognized with the CorSec Medal of Valor and began to take classes in order to join the elite Anti-Terrorism response team. But this would never come to pass.

On a training mission Zekk misjudged a step on a rocky hill and slipped, sending him careening backwards down the rocky slope, a 50 meter fall that left his body battered and destroyed. If he had been able to be removed to a hospital quickly he would have survived, but a two galactic standard hour delay caused multi organ failure. His family was informed and Zekk Krieg was buried with honors in Coronet City in closed casket ceremony. At least, that's the official version.

The unofficial version is that after his disastrous fall, Zekk was airlifted to a Republic hospital where he was put back together. His right arm replaced with a state of the art robotic replacement, his eyes removed and biotic ones put in their place. His organs, many of them pulped beyond recognition, were substituted with biotic ones. His legs had synthetic muscles and joints implanted, and a small shielded compartment was implanted in his abdominal cavity. After 6 months of intense rehabilitation Zekk was certified as field worthy.

He was provided with a new name, new identifying documents, and the badge of a Ranger. For the last decade he has traveled the galaxy, hunting down those who would dare threaten the peace with no one except his trusted astromech R9-D4 by his side. His trusty X-83 starfighter, the Corellian Hound, has become a common sight in seedier spaceports where those he hunts tend to frequent.

Zekk is a man guided by indefatigable notions of law and justice. This has served him well in his role as a Ranger, Zekk taking it almost as a personal insult when those who dare to break the law run. And as a man not well-equipped to deal with personal insults he will hunt down those who have done so with a fervor that borders on the fanatical.

A man of few words is exactly what one is looking for in a man that was resurrected for a single purpose, and Zekk fulfills that to a "T". Even those who have worked with him frequently, underworld contacts, other rangers, mechanics, and even his own targets are slightly unnerved when the man goes about his business as if they are not even there, causing most of them to fill the silence with inane babble. This suits Zekk just fine, as those who babble often tend to let slip information that should remain secret.

Zekk does not tend to stay in one place long, moving on as soon as his purpose is fulfilled. If he stays in any one place for any time longer than necessary it's almost always to partake of a cold beer and whatever the local meat is grilled rare. From the man's own mouth when asked by a fellow ranger at a cantina on Tatooine: "Beats ship's rations."

The only affection Zekk has shown to anyone or anything over the last decade is his droid, R9-D4. A continuation of the famous R Series, R9-D4 is painted bone white with maroon trim to match his partner's armor. He is maintained flawlessly by Zekk, and normally you can't find even carbon scoring on the droid's body. The two have even developed their own Droidspeak shorthand that no one outside the two of them can understand.

Zekk's family mourned him a decade ago, but whenever Zekk is on Corellia he tends to check up on them from afar. His brother became a CorSec investigator who handles homicides within the city, and his sister married a neighbor boy and became a teacher. Zekk's twin nieces are almost 4 now. Zekk's father is a good grandfather, still able to get lost in games but now it's baking and tea parties instead of wars in the woods. His mother still looks sad.

One odd side affect of his position is that Zekk has diiscoverd that he loves to fly and travel. Although his favorite feeling is when he brings a criminal to justice, the way he feels when he enters the atmosphere of a planet and gets to look at the unique biomes beneath him is a close second. But his favorite planet to look down on as he skims the surface is home.

Zekk is a marksman, preferring to take his target before they even know he's there. When pressed, however, the Bryar Pistols that he carries on his hips are happy to join the party. He dislikes getting into hand to hand battles not only due to his inexperience in it, but because he prefers to let his blasters do the talking.
