Serene was enjoying herself so far tonight and she would only lose her buzz when she chose to. The chaos, the violence that raged in the background was observed but not a concern to the sith capable of divide focus. Her shoulders sank slightly at the acolyte's answer, a reaction some would think meant her advances had been rejected. In truth, Serene wished he had reacted differently but it was not unexpected, only disappointing.

Her eyes looked away from the Mirialan and scanned the rest of the club, deciding on where next to focus her attention. Novin would likely end up tunnel buddies with a few other Sith before his career as a sith was over. His predilections seemed prudish but for Serene too be insulted she needed to first take offense. The truth was she had gotten her rocks off, set a desired impression, and avoided any injury so far tonight. Even if Novin turned out to not become her apprentice tonight Serene would have accomplished something tonight.

Looking again at Novin with a look, the sorceress would have a few parting words for the acolyte. "Good luck, handsome." Her eyes lingered on him a moment longer, wishing he had been able to play longer.

Without further interruption she headed to the bar and waded through the horde of ducklings. Her legs kicked and stepped on the water fowl without the slightest care in the world for their well being. Her sneakers stamping down hard to secure each footstep, killing and injuring ducklings with every other step until she was at the counter. An unceremonious pull with the Force brought an unopened bottle of water from a refrigerator behind the bar and into her hand. Finally she would be able to quench her thirst. The only question was who she would talk to next. Maybe there would be another round of dancing. A few people seemed to be in the middle of a brawl either with others or themselves.

A different green? Nefid would have smiled. That could be arranged.

It wasn’t needed, in the end, the Sith champion so easily fended off. It made no difference. When had Nefid ever done things because they were needed, rather than because she felt like it? Her eyes followed Serene to the bar.

Your mind on mine, she nudged her new favorite acolyte. Tell me if you see it.

The image was not for his eyes, but perhaps by focusing on its maker’s mind he could glean her process, its result. Nefid had surprisingly little knowledge of the inner workings of the Force. Though her power was innate, this level of sophistication required concentration.

Juin, last seen diving behind the bar to avoid death by ducklings, was the one to approach Serene next, and when he tapped on her shoulder there was a physical sensation to match.

"Oh hey, there you are!" he exclaimed. So enthusiastic. Emboldened by the first time having gone on without a hitch. "Five minute’s done, you wanna go again?"

Novin watched the Champion begin to walk away, with parting words to try to entice him further. His smirk dropped. The room wasn't very hot, but he felt a cold trickle of sweat running down his back. Her leaving allowed him to focus more on the Sith in his mind. He could feel her more prominently now, the tendril of the Force connecting their minds only strengthening as time passed, and Novin was able to focus more on it. Novin focused on it, travelling up it with his mind until he reached hers.

What before was a green shine in the air became clear- a doppleganger of the lustful Champion's previous lover. The thing that surprised him the most, was the utter chaos that the mindful Champion saw. The small glimpses from before were now vivid and real. Sith of all ranks imagining they were strange creatures, another talking to their shadow as if it going to talk back. Someone of right mind could waltz in and end half the upcoming generation of Sith in this chaos. Maybe one day it would be him.

These parties are... not what I expected. Novin turned from the other Sith, focusing now on the pale Twi'lek. How long are you able to keep this illusion? He was curious, but cunning. If he worked to be on her level of mastery, knowing the limits would be helpful in gaining the things he wanted.
