Zev Monsula
The Silver-tongued Scoundrel

NAME: Zev Monsula
FACTION:None
RANK: n/a
SPECIES: Nautolan
AGE: 28
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 1.91 meters
WEIGHT: 95.6 kg
EYES: Black
HAIR: None
SKIN: Light olive green
CREDITS: 1000
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Half of one of Zev's head tendrils is missing, but it's difficult to notice among the other thirteen. Anyone who asks how he lost it is answered with the same broad grin and a different outlandish tale.
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

STRENGTH: Strong enough to sweep a woman off her feet.
DEXTERITY: Quick enough to escape through the window when the woman's husband barges through the door.
CONSTITUTION: Tough enough to drink the man under the table.
INTELLIGENCE: Smart enough not to actually challenge him.
WISDOM: Not wise enough to learn from his mistakes.
CHARISMA: Charming enough to talk the woman into repeating hers.

SKILLS:
Zev's most prominent quality is his silver tongue. He's also a more or less competent pilot, an excellent pickpocket, and an okay slicer. He's managed to talk himself out of many sticky situations, and has been able to bust himself out when negotiation and flight fail him.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Zev's got a mean fashion sense. He can also mix an awesome martini and no one tears up the dance floor better than he. And then, of course, there's his near-mystical way with the ladies... But if that turns sour, he can run really fast, and swim faster.

His biggest weaknesses are the things he loves best. Sex, gambling, money, fine liquors, exotic fashions... Zev would risk his life for any of them. The unfortunate thing is he often does, and he's not a terribly strong combatant.

GEAR:

-A pair of blaster pistols in case he gets backed into a corner. Even if he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with them, they also drive the ladies wild.

-A pair of goggles. He'll use these to help protect his eyes if he's doing business on particularly dry planets such as Socorro and Tatooine.

-Exotic baubles. These include various accessories such as bands, beads, and feathers that Zev likes to adorn his head-tresses with.

SHIP: A custom craft that he calls Arcadia. It's a fairly small, lightly armed freighter with a very comfortable and lavishly decorated living space. It's been designed to be sea worthy as well as space worthy, capable of diving up to ten miles under water.

Zev's bedroom is particularly interesting. The floor of the room in a meter lower than the rest of the deck, with a small set of stairs leading up out of the pit and to the door. There are only a few lights in the ceiling, and they're usually kept on a dim setting. The floor and the walls of the sunken portion of the room are made of high quality black porcelain tiles, while the wall panels are a deep teal. The panels slide open to give access to Zev's extensive and expensive wardrobe. His bed is circular, shaped almost like a nest and measuring twelve feet in diameter. It's filled with an array of throw pillows and dark, high thread-count silk sheets. Instead of being bolted to the ground, the bed is suspended from the ceiling by a series of cables connected along its outer edge. A command from Zev to the ship's computer adjusts the height at which his bed is suspended, and he can also have the sunken portion of the room filled with water, transforming his quarters into a shallow swimming pool.

PERSONALITY & BIOGRAPHY:

You want to know about me? But darling, I'm so interested in knowing more about you! Oh very well, I can understand your curiosity. But honestly, you'll have to tell me more about your theories on those political scandals. You're very observant you know. I'm sure that once you graduate from your journalism program, you'll be scooped right up by the HoloNet News. I mean it. A beautiful and fiery young woman like yourself was born to be the prime time anchor.

Yes, about me. I've already told you that I'm a lover, not a fighter. However, I've found that pursuing love often results in fights with angry husbands, fiancés, fathers, brothers, creepy uncles, shy co-workers who were totally going to score someday maybe. You get the idea. I couldn't tell you what it is about me that so many women seem to fall for. Although, I do have a theory. Correct me if I'm wrong, but women generally seemed to be attracted by good looks, charm, chivalry, scars, money, and a uniform. I happen to have all of these. Well, maybe not the uniform. Don't get me wrong, I love good tailoring. But like I said, I'm not much of a fighter so I have no plans of enlisting in any armies for the foreseeable future.

My scars? Why yes I do have scars. I would never lie to you, my sweet. Although, I have a separate theory about scars. Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but they do have a particular allure to them. My theory is that they carry a certain mystique that people tend to associate with danger and adventure. Take mine for example. See how the end is missing from this tendril? I lost it while escaping from a Hutt Prince's palace. He had welcomed me as an honored guest and told me to make myself at home. I never realized that his harem of Twi'lek slaves was off limits. Of course not, my dear! I would never take advantage of slaves! No, I was of course outraged when I learned that my good friend was trading in sentient lives and so engaged the harem guards in a duel. Not a fighter? I meant that as a lifestyle choice, darling. I simply cannot bear harming another person. However, for the freedom a dozen kidnapped and enslaved young girls, I made an exception. But I didn't escape unscathed as you see.

Naturally, after defeating the guards it was my responsibility to ensure that the freedom of these girls was secure, so I loaded them onto my ship and brought them back to Ryloth. As it turns out, the girls were all sisters, and their father was so overjoyed to have them brought home safely that he allowed me to choose one to be my wife. Some of them were very young however, so he pleaded that I make my choice from among the six eldest. I declined choosing a bride, insisting that if I took a daughter for marriage, a daughter who had no say in the matter, then I myself would be a slave keeper. Each and every one of his daughters deserved to find their true love, and take that lucky man for a husband. The man was disappointed, but understood. Yes, I agree, that does sound like an incredible story. But that's the adventurer's life for you. It's what I do.

What about before I started adventuring? Oh well, tis not a terribly long story. My father was a very successful trader, and so I grew up in a very wealthy family. We vacationed on exotic worlds frequently, although the highlight of my youth was when we went to Zeltros for my sixteenth birthday. I can still remember it. Well, part of it. I remember what's important. I have never seen a more incredible culture. To the Zeltrons, every moment was a celebration! They lived their lives to the fullest potential, without any inhibitions to stop them. I remember the glamor, the fashions, the parties. Ah! I decided right then that that was how I wanted to live my life. I was going to pursue every pleasure, and savor every experience.

Of course, my life was not entirely perfect. My father died a few years ago, leaving his entire business empire to my sister and I. I'm no business man, never have been, so I was going to hand over my share of the company, but my sister insisted on buying me out. We agreed to a very fair price, and so I walked away with a very large sum of money and my sister stepped in as the chair of an already booming empire. Of course I didn't squander my inheritance! Ahaha!

Ahem. Here, let me mix you another drink darling....

Don't worry about that a little exaggeration is good for the soul.

Thanks! It's no problem. I like hearing what people have to say. And even though the profile's old, I'm really just starting to use him.

Great to hear you're finally getting around to using him because I hope I can either run into him or see some threads with him being involved. Honestly, I actually smiled while reading the whole bio; priceless. Again, great work!

Thanks again. Always encouraging to hear when someone really likes your work.

Anyway, if you had something particular in mind, I'd be more than happy to start up a thread with you. If not, well, trouble has a way of finding him, and he's almost always looking for a way to make a quick buck. Wonder if those two things are connected?
