Becoming less Human[open to midnight men ]

[Ru the Boatswain]

Ruukil woke on his bed. He had been slipping in and out of consciousness for the past few days. an operation on his arm had recently allowed him to gain a new cybernetic arm. Unfortunately he was still having problems doing the most basic things with it. He'd crushed the door handle on his door and was unable to exit. he had to wait until the next person came around and read the scribbled note on the floor outside the door. He sat moving his arm in common patterns. His mind still remembered the movements but the arm was still learning to work itself through the movements.

"Only the best...that seems to be a little double edged..."

There was no false skin covering the arm and in some parts it could be seen through. He smiled though. He now had some very useful parts in his arm, there was a small motor that he could attach certain tools to that he had figured out how to use. so far he'd figured out how to use some basic tools in conjunction with the motor and had successfully taken apart his rifle and placed it back together with awkward efficiency.

He looked up to the door as he heard some one approach...

 

[The Balance]

Knocking on the door Kyle entered the room, he had heard about Ruukil getting a new arm, but wanted to see if the man was okay for himself. After all it was on his mission that Ruukil was injured. Seeing the little notes on the floor about how he was stuck inside, Kyle left past a chuckle.

Opening the door the first thing he did was look at the door handle on the inside, it looked rough, uneven, and even had a few dents in some places. Noting this, he remembered not to shut the door lest he be locked in too. Speaking to Ruukil he said, "How ya feeling, besides the whole locked in your room thing."

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"Well doing fine, other than getting used to this. Its a bit powerful," he held up his new arm and moved it around a bit to show its lack of grace. " But I'll be able to fix that soon. They took out a bit of my shoulder to put it in. And we need better vents... Its hot in here." Ruukil motioned to the vent on the wall. It was rattling and overall very ineffective. Being trapped in the room had made the room stale and hot.

Ruukil Looked the Midnight Man in the eyes and said slowly, "You know it really didn't feel so bad...loosing my arm. It's left me feeling a bit-" He pulled his arm up between the two of them, " less human..."

 

[The Balance]

Looking around at the vents he saw them do a lot of rumbling, but besides from that they did nothing. They did not do their job and Kyle knew that their replacement was long overdue. "I know, I have been meaning to fix them or replace them but I have been busy fighting corruption and all lately." Kyle replied with a smile trying not to look at Ruukil's arm. "But considering you'll be stuck here quite often I'll try to get a worker droid down here ASAP"

Hearing Ruukil's last comment Kyle looked at the arm which Ruukil had put between the two of them. He could see all the moving part and a little of Ruukil's shirt by looking at and through the arm. It would take some time getting used to Kyle thought. "Well it is mechanical" Kyle said with a smile but then becoming more serious he said, "It will take some time to get used to, but after that it will be just like a normal arm."

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"It feels dead... I will get used to it. Here lets leave," Ruukil stood and stretched, but not with his new arm. He stepped to the door. "I'm sure you don't want to stay in here anyway. It's to dark and drab," He stood opening the door and smiling. His grin was a bit strained. The drugs hadn't completely worn off yet and his muscles were a bit tight.

 

[Trakon]

Ragnar heard Ruukil lost his arm and got a mechanical one so he decided to see him. When he got to the door he heard some voices inside. "I'm sure you don't want to stay in here anyway. It's to dark and drab," The door opened and Ragnar almost got hit by Ruukil. "Sorry about that I was just coming to check on you."

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

Ruukil straitened to not run into Rengar, "Oh sorry about thet ya Midnight and I were going to go walking around, Wanna' come?" [/color=]Ruukil opened the door fully and the air rushed in. It was warm and smelled of the base as usual but it was different to him. The air seemed sweet in comparison to his room.

 

[Trakon]

"Sure I suppose so." Ragnar moved just a little to let Ruukil and the Midnight Man pass.

 

[The Balance]

Nodding to Ragnar to show he acknowledged him he started to walk around the halls of the roche asteroid base with the two of them. Kyle's treatment had just been finished along with almost everyone else's and it seemed that everyone was in good spirits. The dim artificial light started to brighten as they came into the more frequented parts of the base. "I guess I'll tell you two first, seeing that you two are the only ones around. I know this might be a little early, but we have joined in a raid with the Kuat Rebellion and the Grey Jedi to steal a kolto shipment." Kyle finished waiting to hear what the other two would say.

 

[Trakon]

"The Grey Jedi? I thought there wasn't but a small amount of them?" He continued to walk but was slightly troubled by this new mission.

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

Ruukil raised an eyebrow, "Was it difficult or not?" Ruukil wasn't really suprised anymore at what happened around here. He just wanted to know why and how.

 

[The Balance]

"Not really they came to us." Kyle said, "They want help in fighting the sith, and where ever there are sith to be fought we are there. Also when they plan on freeing Kuat the crusaders who fought at corscant are supposed to help us." Kyle noted ruukil's lack of surprise and smiled, it came with the job one could never expect what was going on here.

 

[Trakon]

"Sounds like absolute fun. We'll be going against Sith and lord knows what else."

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"Alright...I'd like to know more about this later, "Ruukil rolled his neck and looked over to The Midnight Man.

 

[PaRRoT]

Little Miss Trex was ambling down the hall, hands stuffed in the pockets of her comfortable clothes consisting of baggy pants and a tight yellow tee shirt. There was no fight going on. She was safe, and bored, and dressed as so. As she walked the halls of the asteroid base of the Midnight Men, a sudden look of excitement crossed her face.

"Hey guys," Ayha spoke, voice full of happiness, though startling as she came up from behind. She grinned cutely and proceeded to catch up with the trio on their walk. "How's the new arm Ruukil? And the hurt leg Midnight Man?" the Wroonian turned from one to the other, nothing sarcastic or teasing about her, just friendly chattering, for she did wish only the best for them.

 

[Elite]

Dante had just returned from his daily flight thtough the astroid field, it wasn't a procedure, he just liked dodging astroids in his ship The Fallen Angel. He spotted Ruukil, and remembering what had happened on a recent mission, went to speak with him.
"Hey Ruukil, how's your arm? In working order I hope. And hello Midnight Man and Ahya."

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"Hello," He looked Ayha up and down, she was quite soemthing. He looked over at Dante and smiled,"Yes im doing quite fine just a few kinks to work out." He turned back to face Ayha and smiled saying," Ayha i want to talk to you about something...Midnight, everyone if you dont mind?"Ruukil walked closer to Ayha and nodded to the others."Ayha if you'll follow me..."Ruukil began walking slowly away from the group Ayha would likely follow.

 

[Trakon]

"Okay,I get it." From his acute smell senses he could tell Ruukil didn't want to talk to anyone but her for now."So Dante, wanna get in a race against my Thunderhawk?"He said as he walked away.

 

[The Balance]

Seeing that Ruukil wanted to be alone with Ayha he nodded to them and took off. As he strode down the hall he heard rumors of the phoenix pulling into dock. If this was true, that would mean the Adriana, Caden, and Santoro were home, and that was something he would have to check out.

 

[Elite]

"As much as I'd love to get out there again and race through the astroid field, I can't at the moment. My ship's engines are being refitted. But they should be in working order later, if you'd like a lesson in reckless flying."
Dante said, grinning, and then wincing slightly, as the pain from the recent blaster wounds on his leg burned, then, taking note of the fact Ruukil wanted to be alone with Ahya, he turned to face Ragnar.
"Want me to give you a tour of my ship while her engines are being refitted?"
