@Dmitri is it alright that Prudence character is both the senator of Corellia and the leader of the planet? Seems a bit much like shouldn't those to position be separate?

Although, that doesn't mean dictator, as these planets are still democracies with checks and balances in their governments, which means that you can't cut all trade to Nal Hutta on a whim.

Actually, when I wrote the planet I got to choose the government it is ruled by. No one said it had to be a US Democracy.

Directorate members serve until death, or until voted out by other directorate members. The head of the Directorate also serves as senator to the Galactic Republic. The current chairman of the Directorate is Aren Krass.​
