Zamiel appeared, a bag in hand. He took the head of Morn, and placed a tiny card in the stump, one that would only be found by forensic teams. ''Let us leave to the waystone. You have excelled. You are worthy of the hallowed rank of Mirehn of the Shadows. After the waystone, we shall return to Yalara for the ritual of rising. Come.'' He swept out of the room, jumping out of the neares window, the invisible chord again around his waist, slowing him so that he landed on the ground regularly. He looked up. Cassarah had the same equipment, so she sould follow.

 

[Emma Lou]

She wanted to ask what the Mirehn of the Shadows was, but she knew that now was not the right time. She followed him and used the chord to slow her fall. She landed next to him with ease.

 

[Will]

They walked away, and got intot he ship. Zamiel removed his mask. ''First, we shall hae to get our payment. This group have offered money. That is the second most common form of payment. Normally, we ask for another life in exchange, to show commitment to the task.'' The ship took off for the small 'waystone' colse to Corellia. The metal disk reflected no light, and blended perfectly with the surroundings. The ship docked, the cockpit sliping into a slot made sepeciall for it. The cockpit opened, and both entered the circular walled room. The ship stuck out of the bottom of the 'waystone', only the canopy inside.

Cassarah followed Zamiel. This was all still new to her so she was unsure what to do. It did surprise her that she had killed four people now and it did not even bug her in the slightest way.

 

[Will]

The front screen becmae illuminated. The shrouded upper body of a woman at a desk took up the wall. ''Katra. I trust that the job is complete?'' Zamiel nodded, his mask back on. ''I now request payment for the task completed, as you now know.''

''Indeed. I have wired it through to the account, as requested. I will call upon you again, Katra.'' The screen shut off. Zamiel turned to Cassarah. ''She is a regular patron. It is why we let her pay in credits. She has run out of meaningful lives to remove. Come.'' Zamiel dropped down into the cockpit in the floor, and let Cassarah climb in. He disconnected from the waystone, and set in the Yalara coordinates. He removed his mask.

Cassarah removed her mask and looked at Zamiel.

"What is the Mirehn of the Shadows?"

 

[Will]

''The Mirehn of the Shadows is one of the two most powerful Mirehn, and normally, the most powerful of the two. If is a title given for skill in assassination and of force power use. They are, in effect, my second in command.'' He continued to look forward, into the swirling maelstrom of hyperspace.

 

[Emma Lou]

Cassarah's jaw dropped. She was astonished.

"I thought that there were many ranks to go through and many missions to complete?"

 

[Will]

''For a regular Katyen, yes. However, you show great promise, having the ability to achieve things that some S-Ranks struggle with. S-Rank Hauldus himself reccomended you. He was the original favourite for the post. As such, when we return, you will recieve the holocrons and scrolls of ancient techniques that you must know to go with your rank.''

 

[Emma Lou]

Cassarah was still in shock. She never imagined that all this would happen in her life, but she was not complaining. She bowed her head and closed her eyes for a few seconds before looking up again.

"Thank you, sir"

 

[Will]

The Ship docked, and Zamiel led her through a smaller door, six paces away from the large double doors that were for the Nameless entrance, and the six paces under an alcove. He entered, and took his seat, looking down onto a candle-lit podium below. He pointed to it. The four other Mirehn were present. The seat of the Mirehn of the Shadows remained empty.

Cassarah took the hint and stepped up on the candle lit podium. She looked around at the four Mirehn then let her gaze fall onto Zamiel.

 

[Will]

''You have been brought here to join us. We were the first ones. Only the best of these first ones became my Mirehn. Now, one has left us, and another must step into his place. You have risen from the blood and shadows to sit above them and command them. You are Mirehn, the lord of shadows.'' The other four bowed their heads, hidden by their wide-brimmed hats. Zamiel indicated for Cassarah to sit into the Mirehn of Shadows' seat.

Cassarah felt herself shaking as she stepped off the podium and walked toward the seat that was now hers. She slowly sat down in the seat and looked over at Zamiel. She was afraid now. Afriad that she would mess up and end up getting killed.

 

[Will]

Zamiel nodded, and used the force to float the casket of stone to her. It held the dark robe and wide-brimmed hat of the Mirehn. Under it were a pile of scrolls and three holocrons, teaching her about etiquette. Zamiel rose, and indicated for Cassarah to rise next. ''I shall show you to your new office and quarters.'' He opened another door, and Cassarah found herself in the main corridoor of the shrine. He closed it behind him, and it merged into the wall. He began to walk.

 

[Emma Lou]

Cassarah followed him in silence. Her fear was starting to subside and it was being replaced with excitement.

"What exactly do I do now?"

((Oh god...etiquette!))

 

[Will]

''You may take up missions i will provide you with. They will be above S-Rank missions. Too difficult for an S-Rank Katyen to handle. You will also be required to organise all rituals. Here is your office. The door at the back leads to the room.'' He opened the ebony black door. An opulent office with fine furnishings greeted Cassarah.

Cassarah walked in and smiled. It was perfect for her. Simple and beautiful. She turned back around and looked at Zamiel.

"What do you mean, organize all rituals?"

 

[Will]

''Trainers will come to you, telling you that they are ready for the Shik'Ravah. You will have to prepare the ring. You will also be told of when rank risings above B-rank are present. We must all be present for it. Your information should tell you.''

 

[Emma Lou]

Cassarah bowed her head again.

"Thank you, sir"
