People can play whatever type of Jedi they want, as long as there's an understanding that ranks and advancement through the ranks is going to be based on people being involved in the war. Because the only other rank, which we've tentatively taken to calling Jedi Generals, is 100% military-based. We're not using the Jedi Master rank because, historically on this site, it's been completely useless.
Becoming a jedi shadow might be a good career choice.
So we have to PvP to advance in the faction?Fen I wouldn't get too hung up on the paths/specializations/videogame names too much. They're just conceptual ideas that most people are familiar with so it's an easy way to communicate what kind of leanings and tendancies a character will have. A councelor being more support with the war effort through healing other Jedi and civilians and diplomacy to pick up some allies with some fighting wehre its necessary (hopefully people who decide to do this obviously important part of war don't totally get looked down upon because it's not splattered all over a PvP thread), Sentinels kind of being that midline between the aggressive guardian and passive councelor usually off ding more sneaky and investigative stuff... like sniffing out Sith and their strongholds, and guardians being your main warrior types who focus on clashing lightsabers.
It's been made pretty clear, though, no PvP means no progression or recognition in your faction. Just something for peoples to keep in mind.
Grumpy Marcus enters the thread. "Please see this thread (http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/index.php?threads/main-battles-moving-forward.62862/) where this very subject was discussed ad nauseum. Thank you." Grumpy Marcus leaves.
If a Padawan where to fall to the darkside would the master be held accountable for negligence seeing as they are supposed to teach and guide their student?
