The Jawa watched the battle unfold, and spotted an Ithorian and a Human arrive. The Ithorian seemed to be staying out of combat and even trying to encourage peace, while the Human was just standing by and shouting something that Qur'tik didn't quite catch.
But no matter. That droid was Qur'tik's main concern right now. Seeing as the man with the sword was distracted by the cyborg, the Jawa reactivated his camoflauge and hurried out, rushing over to the droid. He knew there was no way he could carry this thing away, so he would just have to get some work done and hope the pair of fighters didn't notice. As for the Ithorian... somehow, the Jawa didn't think that one would be much of a problem.
He had been almost done before the cyborg had showed up, there was just a few final touches to be made. He had to reconnect three circuits and seal the droid back up. The reconnecting would be the easy part, but sealing the droid back up without being noticed was next to impossible.
Of course, I could technically reactivate him with an unprotected interior. Then, with my restraining bolt, he'll do as I say. And I'll tell him to follow me, we'll go somewhere safe...
Heart racing, Qur'tik got to work, holding a small manipulator in one hand and using his other to move the parts into place. A careful observer might notice the droid's parts moving around, but not likely - especially when half the people nearby were engaged in deadly combat.
It took a minute, but at last everything was in place. Smiling under his hood, Qur'tik reactivated the droid with the simple flick of a switch on his restraining bolt remote. He also turned off his camoflauge so the droid could identify its new owner.
"Droid, protect me," the Jawa commanded in his own tongue. He knew the droid would understand the language and obey, the restraining bolt made Qur'tik the droid's master. Reprogramming and further repairs could be done later, but for now, the Jawa simply turned and ran for his cover, knowing his new droid would follow.
