Enishi vs. Vo Qel-Droma

[Enishi]

The dusty atmosphere of Dorin seemed to echo as a wind of dirt filled the arena to which two combatants would enter. Because of the plauged air, Enishi was forced to wear a breathing mask and a special pair of goggles to prevent himself from damaging his eyes or choking him to death. His long, jet-black hair swayed in the dust wind, revieling much of his graying hair whilest the brown robes, marked with designs from his homeworld of Nelvaan, pulled violently on his body.

Hood raised, Enishi looked to the other end of the arena where his next opponent would appear. To Enishi, this would be his last tournament before he'd be forced to return home to Nelvaan; for fear that the jedi who had attempted to kill him, Kain Lightbringer, would come back to finish the job. An oddly-shapped lightsaber hilt lay in place, on Enishi's back, yet would not be used for this match; In his right hand, a double-bladed vibro-blade remained grasped tightly with one blade pointed at the ground. While not as deadly as a lightsaber, a vibro-blade's vibration would cut through anything.

With the artificial air being fluctuated into his lungs, Enishi awaited his opponent; a jedi named Vo Qel-Droma.

Vo slowly strolled into the arena. He had one double-bladed vibroblade resting across his shoulders while his hands held on the rest of the hilt. He had a similar breathing aparatus an eyewear. Vo never very much like Dorin. He liked the Kel Dor but their planet just seemed depressing no matter how rich the culture could be just the landscape seemed ominous and seemed to beat down on him. Vo scanned the area until he saw his opponent, he smirked as he noticed that Enishi was using the same weapon as him. The Jedi Knight lowered his weapon so he was holding onto it more like a cane or a staff.

"So... you must be Enishi. Of course you know I am Vo, I wish you luck."

Vo would have been more comfortable with his two-double bladed lightsabers but of course that was not permitted in these fights. He hadn't found time to convert his regular dual double-blades into something that would accomodate vibro-blades but Vo needed to have control over the blades to make it work. Vo noticed the greying hair and hoped that this man's age would not inhibit his figthing abilities.

Closing his eyes, Enishi searched the force to see for him as he twirled the two-bladed weapon over his head. Grasping the hilt, Enishi squatted slightly as he rested the hilt on his forearm with his free hand open and pointed towards his opponent. With this balance between offense and defense, Enishi was ready to bring his opponent down.

Vo smiled at the display. He was never one to show off ESPECIALLY since the Jedi stressed being humble and all that jazz. Lifting his blade slightly Vo brought the other part of the hilt into his left hand and started to spin it slowly as if he were already bored with the fight. Vo decided to start this fight slow, no sense in tiring himself out before the fun began. Enishi seemed to want to take the defensive right away. That worked for Vo. He quickly and almost savagly lunged forward striking towards Enishi's legs while keeping the opposite end of his dual-blade up ready for a quick defensive move.

 

[Enishi]

As the vibrations of Vo's movements passed through Enishi's closed eyes, Enishi calmly took a step back, avoiding the swing. Lightly skipping back, Enishi did not fight back as the blade swung through the air missing him. Conserving his energy was of primary concern here. Patiently, Enishi awaited Vo's next movement.

Vo launched himself backwards as soon as his feet touched down in order to avoid a counter-attack. Enishi was faster than Vo had expected and the choice to not even strike back surprised him. Vo assumed the same stance as he had before but this time waited. If it was his opponent's goal to wear him out before any real fighting began thenVo would have to think of a new tactic. While he thought he would also sit on the defensive.

 

[Enishi]

Giggling to himself, Enishi decided to toy with his opponent. With the distance established, Enishi slowly began to side step, sending slight waves of the force to break his opponent's train of thought. Breathing slowly, Enishi send his small waves of the force in different parts of his opponent, from his head, to his shoulder to his knees. Setting Vo off balance was the idea, and such would topple his concentration.

Vo's thoughts suddenly shattered as if they had just been smashed by a hammer. Vo reached out and felt the waves coming off Enishi and gripped the hilt of his sword a little tighter. The bastard was trying to throw off his concentration. He had what he needed already though. Vo Launched himself forward and was in position almost in a heart beat, he was in the same stance as before except striking towards Enishi's waist more. This left Vo a little more exposed toward his feet but that could easily be corrected with a simple lift of his feet.

As Vo struck at him, Enishi angled his blade to parry Vo's weapon. Spinning as the blade pased by him, Enishi sent a light push of wave at the back of Vo's knees. With the intention to trip his opponent, Enishi used a small wave, not intending to stress himself.

Vo sensed the slight change of his postion and tucked into a role that put him behind Enishi. He wasted no time in formulating his attack he quickly pivoted and struck at Enishi's knees while keeping the opposite end of his double-blade near him for quick defense. This fight was starting to iritate Vo. Everytime he attacke Enishi seemed to just seemed to avoid combat until he parried that one time.

Enishi was slightly caught off guard by his opponent's roll, he had a backup. Vo seemed off, perhaps getting angry. With the swing of the vibroblade, Enishi jumped sideways. The blade almost connected with his ankle, yet barely. Taking a couple steps back, Enishi spoke in his low voice.

"Come, Vo. Surely you can do better?"

"I'd like to think I'm always getting better."

Vo kept up his attack thin time anticipating that Enishi would move backwards. His motive was veiled. The more he kept Enishi moving the less time he had to think or reason quickly. Vo himself always had a high satmina which he conditioned almost everyday with runs and excercises so for the first part of this fight atleast he would ba able to wear Enishi down some.

Upon anticipating the small retreat in position on Enishi's part, Vo had immediatly moved into his next attack while his opponenet was still moving. Launching like a blaster bolt from his old position he was within effective striking range in the time it would take the average human to blink. He attempted to swing the full width of his weapon more so that even if Enish moved back there was a much higher probablity of him being cut. Of course this left little to defend with and be able to counter attack as his other stances had but switching up his tactics might throw Enishi off a little.

With a grin, Enishi ducked low while stabbing his weapon at Vo's abdomen. Since his opponent decided to push forward, his momentum would prevent him from stopping. Like a trapped fly, Enishi had Vo in a tough situation.

Vo's eyes widened slightly as Enishi attacked. Finally. Though Vo had not entirely expected it hoping that Enish would go on the defensive path as he had planned. Well, there was no plan like a good plan B. Vo needed to survive the failed plan A though. With only second to decide Vo picked the most immediate one. He could not stop with the laws of gravity in motion but he could move himself in a different dierection while that was still in front of him. Enish was low. Vo would go high.

His feet on the ground Vo pushed as hard as he could to flip over Enishi while still in the air he saw the perfect counter attack. The Jedi Knight moved his blade with a deadly grace, the blade shining slightly as it moved high and towards Enishi's spine. This time with his attacking end raised high as it was coming down in its malicious descent and the other end sat ready to block. The only way Enishi could block is if he turned completely and that was if he had been anticipating a move from Vo. Enishi could not probably attack with all of his energy being put into turning and blocking the force of Vo's downward attack and then trying to push the Jedi Knight backward.

 

[Enishi]

Enishi had to act fast. Feeling the blade tear through his robe, Enishi, dove forward. The vibroblade had completely sliced through most of his upper robe, exposing his thin, wasting upper body. Had he not moved quick enough, the blade would have sliced open the skin protecting his spine.

Vo didn't quit. Once Vo was grounded he immedialty moved into his next attack leaping towards Enishi in one bound, like a true predator intent on his prey Vo once again aimed for his adversaries spine. Enishi would have a better chance of blocking so to prevent counter-attacks Vo had always learned to strike with immense force. Building up his strength Vo had been dragging one blade on the ground sending up sparks, this had been a more psychological thing than anything else, but now sending himself back into air Vo had the lower end of his weapon below him as to impale Enishi using his own weight, momentum, and muscles to drive the attack faster and harder. If Enishi did not get back up or move in time Vo would have skewered his opponent through with his weapon and that would almost surely end this match.

Enishi knew his opponent would not stop; he had toyed with him too much.

However, if Vo had continued to rush, he would eventually run out of energy... eventually. But eventually wasn't soon enough as the sound of the rushing knight filled the droopy ears of the nelvaanian. At this point, it was too late to dive out of the way; but there was time for an attack.

Arching his back outward, Vo's blade cut through more of Enishi's upper robe. However, Enishi had grasped his weapon and thrust it towards Vo's chest. Momentum was again working against Enishi's opponent.

With his sword firmly planted on the ground he was able to get some leverage to move out of the way of the blade but that didn't stop Enishi's blade from getting a good cut along the side of his robes. So far this match had been just fabirc ripping and if they continued like this then both men would be fighting in there underwear soon. Once grounded Vo found that he could not use his weapon effectivly in these very tight quarters. He decide to use his body as a weapon. Planting his left foot firmly he heaved himself into Enishi. This wouldn't cause much pain for either advesary but it would almost certainly get Vo into place for another attack or would get the two combatants away from eachother

This tactic competely caught Enishi off guard as he found himself using his feet and hands to slow down. Strangely they were back where they started; minus articles of clothing. Breathing heavy underneath his breathing equiptment, Enishi stood up and began walking sideways, collecting himself. His opponent wasn't going to stress himself out, Enishi needed another plan.

OOC: I'm not on you. I just pushed you away so we were pretty much how we started and from there I'd decide if I'd move on to keep attacking or just defend for a little.
