to be honest I didnt even notice. which is a good thing I guess, With 6 movies several tv shows, a stand alone score for a book, and a ton of games all which borrow and bleed from one to the other sound wise usually, its really really hard sometimes to pinpoint when something is new or rescored blending of several other pre-existing scores

Abrams was emulating Steven Spielberg. Watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind or E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

I heard a rumour that Andy Serkis is going to play more than one character; one live-action, the other motion capture. I'd have no objection to that.

The music seemed like a remix of one of the soundtracks from Revenge I think and then just the classic Star Wars music when the falcon showed up. XD But Mr Williams is a master so I have no doubt the music is going to be amazing!

I'm hoping for a female villain at some point in this new trilogy, I think a prominent witch/siren archetype is needed to both continue the mythical undertones of the series and to help counteract the mass amount of dick that's on display in the villain department.

My hope is that this is the role Lupita ends up playing.

Quick question, since the fact that the number of Clones that became Storm Troopers eventually dwindled as time went on was purely an Expanded Universe concept - meaning it was never mentioned in any of the six films or the most recent Clone Wars Series - and all of that was thrown out, are we now to assume that all Storm Troopers, at least up until Return of the Jedi, are in fact, surviving Clone Troopers from the Clone Wars?

Nope, the 'clones were phased out' concept is still there, and is part of the Rebels series which is the current front of the new canon. As in, we actually see some of what goes into Stormtrooper training, and the various voices indicating its not all the same dude cloned a bunch of times.

Edit: To better clarify, Dave Filoni was also interviewed about the matter, and explained that the accelerated ageing of the clones meant that most were retired from service. And since that's by the time of Rebels, that means there's even less clones still about by the OT.

Cortan brought up a very good point about the fact that the phasing out the Clones is still a thing, but once again, if I am not mistaken, I do believe that may not be canon anymore. That was a mission in the Battlefront Game, which is no longer canon. I may be wrong though.

That's not canon. It may have happened, but as of now it's not canon. All we know is that, by the time of Rebels, clones are no longer in active military service.
