Fauztin woke with a start. The transport ship he was resting on suddenly began to bump and shake. He realized that they were hitting the atmosphere of a planet and he began to tense up. He couldn't remember the last time he felt so nervous. The ship lightly touched down to the surface of the planet and landed with a bump that woke him completely from his nap. He peered out the window and saw a figure just outside wearing a cloak. He took quick notice to the sword dangling from his side. Is that a Darksword? He wondered, recognizing it from a book he read.

The transport gave a low hissing noise and the door cracked open, letting in a sliver of light. As he felt the rush of fresh air blast across his face, he smiled and stood. The captain came from the cockpit and led him off the shuttle, stepping down to the stone steps. He approached the man with the cloak and left Fauztin at the foot of the ramp.

Ieu watched as the ship entered the atmosphere from the inner of the temple's dock entrance. No planet was safe, even the halls of the Jedi temple could potentially hold a threat. He held back until the ship had almost landed before walking out into the open.

He had quick word with the captain to confirm that the trip had gone smoothly before ushering the padawan over. “I hope you found the trip was a pleasant one. I am Ieu Togenchi. If you will follow me I will five you a quick tour of the temple, then show you your where my training hall, where we will be training your quarters and are located.

After the tour Ieu lead Fauztin to his hall and sat on the floor in the center. “Here have a seat. I just have a couple of questions to ask you, then I will allow you to go, freshen up and adjust to you surroundings. What do you already know and what would you like to learn during our training together?

Fauztin followed Ieu through the temple and took in the feeling of being inside the temple. When the tour was finished, he took a seat opposite of the Jedi Knight and listened. When asked what he knew and wanted to learn, he furrowed his brow and thought for a moment. "I haven't had any formal training in the Force before. Sometimes I get these feelings, like something is about to happen, but that's all. I had that feeling right before the Jedi found me on Coruscant, and a couple years ago when my sister fell out of a tree and almost died. I barely caught her," he said, remembering from a few years ago. He thought about what he wanted to learn in his training and realized that he really just wanted to hone his abilities. A lightsaber was the coolest thing in the universe in his eyes, but the Force was a tool, not a weapon. It was something to be used and worked with, not something to be manipulated for your control. "I want to learn how to use the Force. To work with it, as a tool or an extension of myself, even. I'd like to learn how to fight, with a lightsaber as well," he told him sheepishly. It felt awkward to actually talk to someone about his fascination with the Force and the Jedi. He'd kept it a secret from his parents that he loved it because he thought they would ridicule him for not believing entirely in the Alsakan ways.

Ieu took in every thing that was said and the way he said it. "I would like to try something before we move on." As he spoke a couple of hilts started to move on the rack that ran along the edge of the room. One shot over a stopped above in Ieu's hand. "Tell me what you can feel. Try to lool forward and see what will happen. Only a short distance, just to the events that will take place moments from now." he began moving the hilt back and forth to catch Fauztin's attention.

Fauztin frowned slightly just before the hilt shot over to his Master's hand. When he saw it go by, he darted his eyes to the side but did not flinch. When he was instructed to sense out with the Force, he closed his eyes and began to control his breath is smooth shallow intakes. Within his mind he felt the Force energy that was being used to keep the hilt in the air. He could feel the hilt swaying back and forth, but it was a vague sensation. "I feel like there's a presence besides you and me, like I can feel the Force that you're using to hold the hilt. It feels like it's alive, almost. And I can sense it swaying back and forth, but it's really vague, like it's far away," he said with a furrowed brow. As the hilt continued swinging, his brow furrowed further and the feeling in his mind became a little clearer. When his head began to ache on either side of his forehead, he stopped concentrating and opened his eyes.

The hilt's movement slowed as Ieu turned his attention to another one floating behind Fauztin and he quickly pulled it towards himself, its path obstructed by the padawan.

Just as Ieu used the Force to pull it toward his back, he felt the rush of energy and rolled to the side. He looked up quickly and saw that another hilt had just flown by where he was previously sitting on the floor. "It felt like... Like a spike had gone through my back before it had happened, kind of," he said shakily, suddenly tired and not knowing why.

"Remember that feeling and remember it well. We will be building on that at a later date. But for now... We are done. I will let you get back to your quarters. Meet me here early tomorrow morning and your training will begin." Ieu closed his eyes and the hilts shot back over to their places on the rack.

Fauztin turned quickly and watched the hilts fly back to the rack and took a moment to stare at them. He didn't know why, and shook off the feeling almost immediately. he turned back to the Jedi Knight and stood, bowing after he rose. He turned away from Master Ieu and strode through the corridor back to where he was told his quarters were. he found the room easily enough and laid down on the bed, exhausted from not used to using the Force to sense things. He assumed that it would get easier in time and practice - or at least he hoped - and closed his eyes to focus. He tried to sense his surroundings, but the most he could feel was a fly buzzing close to his bed. He felt a sliver of it's life-force, but that was all. Then he promptly fell asleep.

The next morning, he got out of bed and dressed quickly, and headed for the training room. He walked through the door and saw Ieu standing in the center awaiting his arrival.

Ieu closed his eyes as Fauztin entered the room. "Su cuy'gar, I hope you slept well. First off, what would the first thing you would like to learn be?" He sat down and again signalled for Fauztin to come and sit in front of him.

Fauztin entered the room and sat on the floor before the Jedi Knight. He thought for a moment and decided that he wanted to learn how to use the Force better. "In all honesty, I haven't been able to get my mind off of the Force. I want to learn how to use it and do the things I've seen Jedi do," he said.

"Ok so to start with we will practice some telekinesis. I would like you to take your hilt and get it to travel around the room, try to get it as close to the wall as you can but try your best not to touch it. So you will be following a large square pattern."

Ieu picked up a training hilt and made it take one circuit around the room before returning to the rack. "Also as you are doing so I would like you to describe some of the techniques you would like to learn afterwards."

Fauztin nodded and closed his eyes, focusing. he thought about the training hilt on the rack and imagined picking it up. He felt the Force flow through him, felt the hilt raise off the rack and begin to sway back and forth. He concentrated harder and the swaying began to turn into a soft vibration. He moved the hilt closer to the wall, about two inches away and started to move it along its surface. As he went further along the wall, he moved it a tiny bit closer every foot of distance he moved it. He came to about half an inch away from the wall and the hilt was barely vibrating when he came to the corner. Just as he turned it to the next wall, he began to speak.

"I've done a lot of research into lightsaber techniques," he said. "I've been thinking that if I'm going to be Force oriented in my abilities, I might want to wield two lightsabers, to make up for lack of finesse required to be a master swordsman. I studied the Jar'kai form, and I believe that it best suits me. I like to be balanced in many ways, and according to the texts, Jar'kai teaches a lot about balancing yourself with your lightsabers," he told the Jedi Knight, explaining why he wanted to learn this. "I also read something about Telekinetic Lightsaber Combat. I know it's difficult, and I know it's a Force oriented form, but I think that I'd like to study it after I learn how to wield two lightsabers," he continued, faltering slightly with the hilt, but avoiding the wall. He came to the second corner of the room and turned again.

"I have always found telekinetic lightsaber combat to be an odd one, it must leave you very open to manipulation from anyone who is stronger in the force than the user is, for our next session I will find some one that can preform it. I would like you to make four complete circuits of the room before we move on."

Fauztin nodded and closed his eyes in concentration, increasing the pace of the hilt. He quickly crossed the third and fourth walls, much faster than the first two, and kept it about an inch from the wall the entire time. On the second lap, he began to focus harder and had a stronger feel of his surroundings, the hilt and wall were clearer in his mind. "It's odd... Even with my eyes closed, it's like I can see my surroundings... No, not see... Feel," he said, furrowing his brow. "Master, I've read about Jedi who can do this to the full extent as if their eyes were open. I can only catch a glimpse of what's being touched by the Force. Does this mean I might have a stronger connection to the Force than we thought before?" he asked, passing the hilt along the wall for the second time. He started the third lap at a faster pace, the hilt beginning to make a soft buzz through the air as it turned the corners. He'd almost finished the third lap when his master responded.

"Quite possibly" Ieu walked over and placed his hand on Fauztin's shoulder. "Close your and try to cut off all external-" Out of Ieu's hand came a short sharp blast of energy intended catch Fauztin completely off guard and to send him stumbling forwards.

When Fauztin obeyed and shut his eyes, completely focusing on his surroundings and the Force, he felt his master put a hand on his shoulder. A split second later his brow furrowed and knew that something was about to happen and he tensed, still concentrating. he turned his head slightly to the side which his master was on and felt a shock go through his body. Tensed, knowing that something was going to happen, he shivered and stumbled in place for a moment from the feeling and the hilt began to sway back and forth, but stayed afloat. When he'd straightened his back while still sitting and balanced the hilt, he continued to pace it around the room quickly. He was halfway through the final lap when he'd been shocked, but his quick recovery allowed him to finish the assignment without dropping it or coming into contact with the wall.

Ieu was surprised to see the the padawan still on his feet. "I see you have he potential for a very clear foresight. I would like you to meet me tomorrow at the same time."

Fauztin turned to the Jedi and bowed his head, "Yes, Master Ieu," he said with a smile. He took his leave from the training room and headed back to his room to study his books further. He was extremely interested in learning the ways of the Force, and thought that the best way to begin learning them was to research them before practice.

After Fauztin had left he went in search of someone with the knowledge of telekinetic lightsaber combat and he managed to find someone who could and who also owed him a small favour. The next morning they were both waiting in the training room for Fauztin's arrival.
