Without thinking, Strife reacted, taking a quick sidestep followed by a small pivot around obelisk, Strife using the maneuver to slice down diagonally towards Obelisk's back. His movements were enhanced as well. Not to the extent of Obelisk, but Strife's reflexed we're honed to a point where he'd be able to keep up. Strife showed no emotion with his reaction, his movements were precise, his mind at complete peace. Though he did not use his vision as he usually would, but rather reach out through the force and feel the ripple obelisk created with his movements. A style that he never thought of using, though at the moment Strife wasn't consciously thinking, only acting and reacting in accordance to Obelisk.

Obelisk's backwards momentum aided him in spinning around quickly, making him appear as a brief tornado of black as he brought his blade down to meet Strife's. Both energy beams crackled as they locked against one another. Pushing firmly he broke the lock and counterattacked with a strike at Strife's exposed knee.

If not blocked in time it would be discovered that the weapon was set on the lowest power level, effectively making it a training saber.

Despite Obelisk's speed,Strife's blade quickly came around to deflect the attack. Taking a step forward, coming into very close quarters. The then thrust a palm into Obelisk's chest in an attempt to fire Obelisk back using the force just as he did with the objects he once tried to use to attack him. The push would be difficult to dodge, considering Strife knocked Obelisk's saber to the side with his block and also due to the very close nature of the attack.

If it was successful Obelisk would be sent hurdling backwards, more then likely until the durasteel wall stopped him, And Strife would already be ready for a counter attack. He knew that saber combat went far beyond the use of light sabers, and he needed to know hos to successfully implement the force into his battles, and to do so quickly.

Obelisk ducked and rolled to the side, striking Strife across the shins as he did so. Strife's previous attempts had given away his strategy. As the Gladiator rose he aimed a third strike right at Strife's extended arm. The effort was commendable and would have worked on a slower less experienced opponent, but Obelisk was trained at fencing. When an opponent came too close his instinct was to create distance and strike while retreating.

Whether or not his attack connected Obelisk would jump back with the Force and deactivate his weapon before crossing his arms and nodding in approval.

Strife's shins we're struck, causing slight burns, But since he was already moving backwards as he launched his attack, the blade missed his arm. He noticed the approving nod from his teacher, leaving him with a small sense of accomplishment. "So it's the combination of internal and external while using the force that provides the greater chance to victory." he stated, showing what he gathered from the bout, "And it speaks to you in times you need it most."

"It always speaks. No matter the circumstance. It is the instinct that tells a person to duck when they hear a loud noise, it makes prey take off when a stealthy predator attacks." Obelisk stood in place for a moment, straightening out his clothes. Strife's training was almost complete. Now it would intensify.

"Then i suppose it is my ears that need developing" strife replied to what obelisk said, Standing relaxed now, for the moment, as Obelisk seemed to be fixing what was left out of place from the training.

After that session Obelisk continued to teach Strife in the same manner Angel had taught him. He would push the neophyte's mental and physical limits. He would conduct tests to hone Strife's attunement to the Force as well as drill him in simple strategies for combat. Months would fly by in Strife's training. Bones would be broken, doubts had and overcome, and lessons learned.

Much would be uncovered and even more mysteries would come forth to be solved. Training would only cease upon death, as life always taught lessons to the final breath.
