I only launched three attacks, and there was a good bit of concentration in one of the attacks.
If we even try to debate those battles, we'll be here all morning.
I only launched three attacks, and there was a good bit of concentration in one of the attacks.
5 attacks at the same time?
I predict this will go horribly wrong.
We're not being pessimistic. Two battles, maybe even three, sure, but 5 is an OOC nightmare. The admins will have a hard time keeping up with the complaints, the people at the top for both the Republic and Hutts will get swamped, which will delay results from the mid-level people actually in the battles, and will all in all end very badly.
Well, if the Hutts win and slaughter all Republic peeps there, there'll be no one there to complain.
Right?
Right?!
One of these threads isn't a battle, and one of them won't be very meaningful unless there's anyone in the Republic who actually thinks the Hutts are going to be trapped in their own territory for the rest of the timeline.
So yeah, this won't end as badly as you all assume.
This is true. Boz Pity is a Hutt-controlled world, so that's much more of a flair battle than necessity, and the two breakthrough threads can be combined into one if that'll reduce strain.
I know this many battles is a lot, but there's a lot of people who want some action and I can't have them sit out. If battles take approximately a month, then people on the defense fleets will have to sit around on their hind ends another month, so this is the best way I can figure to kick the momentum back at full gear.
That's a really bad reason for doing it. Battles are going to carry with them a certain level of frustration, so multiply that by the amount you have and that's how much frustration there's going to be. In all likelihood it would kill momentum before it even had a chance to keep going.
Besides, time skips bring with the momentum by default. Timeline changes have always done that, with people in full gear right from the get go. You don't have to put in extra effort to get it back, because it's not lost. The excitement of new IC conflicts brings the momentum on its own.
You really need to cut down on the battles you do right out of the gate, to something manageable OOC like 2 at a time. This isn't a request, you need to do this.
We're at four battles that the admins would need to worry about, and I'd be willing to bring it down to three- we can combine the two breakthrough threads into one. Two is whipping the Hutts for being ready to go.
Theater 5: The Boz Pity Situation
Historical Information: Boz Pity is a mountainous planet and home to the Gargantelle alien species. For years, the Gargantelle have been a thorn in the side of the Empire, repelling our military advances in blatant rebellion against our Emperor. Following the freshly ended Hutt Civil War, such disobedience will not be tolerated.
Situation: The Gargantelle are large aliens who have mastered the rough terrain of Boz Pity. They have dug in tightly and will be hard to root out- extreme measures have been approved.
Mission Objectives: Gain control over the Gargantelle population.
Expectations: Although many, the Gargantelle are not particularly well armed. The trouble is in finding all of their members to regulate- guerilla warfare is expected in ground engagements. The Gargantelle have hardly any planetary defenses.
Assigned Squadron: Emperor’s Armada (Joint command- Kohsev and Tusa)
Canonly, doesn't this invasion have to fail to follow SW Lore? Makes it kind of pointless when you already know the outcome.
