After chatting with a few people, we've come up with another idea to add some fierceness to the vessel.
In-universe, antimatter is used in hyperdrives, its what makes them go. Antimatter is also extraordinarily explosive, to the point of one microgram (1/1,000,000 gram) equalling about 50 kg. of C4. As it goes up, it increases exponentially to the point of less than a pound equalling a tsar bomb, which scared the Russian scientists enough to never make a second.
Naturally, we want to put these babies in missiles (The Empire used antimatter mines, so it works the same in-universe). Enough per missile to send an enemy capital ship up in flames.
Do-able?
