Dewbecca merely held up his hands to silence the crowd, he was expecting such a reaction to this news.

"You must all understand the details of this. Master Katu came to me several weeks ago asking for my support in a mission he was planning against the Ospion, he wished to infiltrate a structure off there's and see if he could find information of plans against our Order, I am sure you can all understand why I was against this idea"

Dewbecca paused for a moment again trying to think on his next words, he had to word them perfectly.

"Master Katu was understandably upset and took a a leave of absence from the order along with two of his former students, I had heard nothing for two months until I received a message. It was from Master Katu himself, it was a beyond the death message shall we say proclaiming he had been killed after entering the compound. I know nothing of what happened in the compound other then it was a corporation which the Ospion were involved with in some way. The details however are clear, independent sources have shown me that the Ospion were at this corporations building and that a massive explosion took place there."

"Several days ago I felt a tremor in the force, I now know what it was."

The Grandmaster's explanation only heightened Od'xai's worry and confusion, though the Devaronian had calmed down enough while listening to those emotions in check. He rubbed his horns as he often did when deep in thought, mulling the situation over in his mind slowly. Finally he rose from the grass to stand up, voicing his concern to his fellow Jedi.

"If the Ospion weren't making plans against us before, they definetly are now. Whether or not Master Katu would have found anything incriminating in that building, had he not been killed, is irrelevant now... There can be little doubt that in the Ospion's eyes, we have instigated a conflict by attempting to infiltrate their property. As much as I'd like to try and make peace with them, I suspect that would be a fruitless effort... We should not try to retaliate for the lives lost, but prepare to defend ourselves and the Jedi principles. Now more then ever the Ospion will see us as a threatening enemy, and their attack could come at any time."

Chester listened quietly while the rest of the Jedi became restless; it was a sad tale indeed, but there were still some things that were missing. Details. Facts. Perhaps the Jedi Grandmaster would expand upon them in time. For now, though, the Jedi Knight waited patiently amidst the crowd of Jedi that had gathered in the courtyard, brushing off the dust that had settled on his shoulders.

Master Anaru was never the one to get to emotional, but the news of the murder of a fellow jedi tore at his heart. He listened in full tale and story as Master Dewbecca explained the sadness and gravity of the situation. "He has have gone to be with the force." Anaru thought complacently as he listened to Master Dewbecca's grave news. He saw the looks of shock, suprise, and fury on the faces of his fellow jedi peers, and padawans. For once, Anaru did not know what to do right away. He merely wanted to wait and see what Master Dewbecca was going to say.
________________________________________________________________

As for this explosion that occured, Anaru wanted to know more about it. When did it happen and more importantly, where are these Ospion guardians residing currently? But Anaru's biggest concern was the tremor in the force. What caused it? How big is this ripple? Would it carry on through to everyone in the council and the entirety of the jedi ranks? How can we fight against it? These were just a few of the many urgent questions that popped up into Anaru's mind. He cared not for himself, for his life was devoted to the council and the jedi. Anaru cared and was devoted to others and that was why he took the news so gravely and so morbidly. The Opsion guardians posed a grave threat to the jedi and Anaru was not sure of what form of action they should take. He would be quiet and listen until he had formulated a plan.

Anger. Anger rippled through the Jedi ranks like a dark wave when Grandmaster Dewbacca made his announcement. Jedi Master Huang Karasu flanked the other side of the towering wookie, surveying the younger students with his yellow eyes. The first who had an outburst. Javiik Valvin. One of Huang's first students. He remembered the training, such an outburst was no surprise.

The high levels of emotions could not be allowed to run riot. He leaned towards the grandmaster. ''Grandmaster, might i suggest that you break any news more slowly, we do not want our order to succumb to anger and wrath.''

"Given that we don't actually know what occurred, I believe it would be wise to try to discover it. Hopefully, such knowledge can enable us to bring them back to the fold through diplomacy. After all, if we cannot resolve our differences through diplomacy, how can we solve anyone else's problems that way?" Dimitrijeh said.

He had been involved in violent situations before and having been trained as a jedi, renounced violence in all but necessary circumstances.

"Sadly we know what happened, there life force were distinguished and many off the powerful members of our order felt it, Master Katu was right in his accesssment, but even if he was wrong they are still responsible for the death of three jedi knights. There is only one course of action to take. I hereby proclaim to all jedi that it is now our duty as an order to find all Ospion members and arrest. We still have a significant number advantage over them and we must use it now before they begin picking us off."

Dewbecca said this with a heavy heart, he was not a warlike being despite where his skills lied, but he was not one to shy away from what had to be done.

Chester mused over what had been said. It was always tragic when Jedi died, though not necessarily sad enough to rage over. Was not part of the code, 'Death, yet the Force'? It seemed irresponsible to begin hunting down all Opsion simply because four Jedi had been killed. In fact, it seemed almost unreasonable. Would it not make more sense to track down and arrest the killers alone? Chester pondered.

But at the same time, Chester realized there was no other way. He had known this was unavoidable; order and rebellion could not exist in the galaxy at the same time. Leastwise, not while claiming to both be fighting for the same cause. The Jedi must fight the Ospion. The time had come. Chester did not care if he stepped out of bounds at this point.

"Master Dewbecca, I agree with you," Chester said amidst the vengeful shouts and troubled muttering. Then, he redirected his speech to the rest of the crowd: "These Ospion mock the Force with their supposed devotion to the virtues of their order. How can they claim to be peaceable and serene when they murder our brethren in cold blood? We should have saw this coming; we should have taken steps to avoid this as soon as they rebelled against us. But it is too late now. Our inaction has led to the death of several powerful and promising Jedi. Whether you agree with Master Dewbecca or not, you must realize that we have no other course of action at this point. We either stand united, or we fall alone."

Od’xai nodded slowly at the Grandmaster’s words. Personally the young Knight didn’t think it was a good idea, because a lot of violence was sure to be the result if the Jedi tried to arrest every single Ospion. Nonetheless he trusted in Dewbecca’s judgment, knowing that he had a duty of loyalty to the Jedi Order.

Haar's hands were clenched into fists, but he slowly relaxed. The Jedi hunting down and arresting all of the Ospions meant that his own teacher will be among those hunted down. She had always told him that whatever happens is the will of the Force; is the capture of the entire Ospion group truly the Will of the Force?

Whatever happens, the queer padawan wanted no part in it. He turned to move towards the rear of the crowd, his ears not willing to listen to more of this.

Master Huang's eyes watched as the hooded padawan's feelings rushed to the fore, and turned away. He would be watched. ''We must do what we must.'' He said, voice cold and emotionless. ''If that is arrest the Ospion, then we shall do it.'' A lot of the younger, more impetuous Jedi would have to be watched. There would be no need for heroics.

Javiik felt relief at the Grandmaster's orders. He wasn't particularly proud of tracking people a bounty hunter, but he had no qualms when it came to the Opision. They were misguided speakers of heresay, and now were potentially a threat to the Jedi. "I will do what must be done to protect and preserve the Jedi Order, Master." Javiik said sternly.

The decision of Grandmaster Dewbacca brought pain to Athena. In her mind, her place was teaching, battling only when absolutely. Although she suspected that a war could one day break out, the though of systematically hunting any group, especially former brethren, was distasteful, to say the least. "The Opision will not be willingly allow themselves to be arrested, not without a struggle. As former Jedi, many of our own may fall to the more skilled and experienced opponents."

"While we do know that Katu died as a result of the Ospion, we don't know how his death unfolded. There is a chance that it was a large misunderstanding. After all, Alsakan has waged war on the Republic for years without avail because of some stupid misunderstanding. We should not follow in their footsteps. If the Ospion do prove to be completely incorrigible, then we should eliminate them, but we must attempt several peaceful means of eliminating the dangerousness of the Ospion before we try to arrest all of them."

"We have tried peaceful attempts in the past and been rebunked. We must act now before they have a chance to act against us. We have the number advantage and we will use it, all jedi will form into large groups and go off world to find and arrest all Ospion members they find. I leave it to the judgment of the jedi how to handle the situation if the Ospion do not come peacefully"

Dewbecca ignited his lightsaber with held it aloft.

"We jedi are peace personified but sometimes we must take up our arms, today is that day my friends"

Koran stood up and ignited his saber too. "So be it." he said. "I will do what I can to stop the Ospions. In name of the Jedi Order."

After all, Koran was a warrior. He would only choose battle if there was no other way, but if it would come to battle he would be there.

''For the order'' Huang said, his orange lightsabre igniting, casting an angry glow over his pierced features.

Galykia continued sitting on the bench, holding his chin and listening. He slightly nodded his head in approval to what his fellow Jedi were claiming. He thought how the Ospion murder of Master Katu.
"What must be done for the Order, must indeed be done. Long live the Jedi Order!"

Od'xai drew his saber from his belt and held it up, igniting the silver blade and closing his eyes with a soft sigh. "If this is the Order's decision, then I will do all I can to see it done... May the Force be with us all."

Chester ignited his azure lightsaber, holding the blade above his head. He spoke not a word; everything that had been said reflected his thoughts perfectly.

Whether anyone would say it or not, the events that were about to transpire were obvious. Was this how war felt? The Jedi Knight mused.

Anaru too drew his amethyst colored lightsaber. As much as he hated the thought of war and pain, he knew it was necesarry to prevent future harm to the jedi. Only time would tell how much harm this war would draw. Anaru had a bad feeling that it would be a catalyst to something much, much larger than anything the order expects.
