Since our Mandalorian debate thread is still locked, and Cordens newest request prompts a very interesting idea, I'll post it here. Perhaps we can use MandalMotors/Tech as an alternative for those who don't necessarily want to join the ranks of the established military? They would be the "civilian" side of the faction. We could have investors, representatives, various corporate officers, etc...

It would be different from any of the Indie faction corporations, because MandalMotors is Mandalorian through and through, and has always been a stalwart companion of the Mandalorian people. It would be a sort or non-direct-military option for us...

....But I usually run MandalMotors since I came up with more than 90% of the tech and vehicles Sept for several Cordon Jena and Blue contributed :CCry1

Now on a serious note that is an interesting idea a civilian group... If we are going to execute this idea we defiantly need a board in the faction board for it I can do some changes to the re-do of the faction board to include a none military area basically business. Essentially a indi faction board that's strictly Mandalorian Businesses. Which would diversify our equipment.

I actually am vary interested in this idea.

It wouldn't be too difficult, considering we're already working on a faction retcon and board re-organization. Really, we wouldn't even need an entirely new sub-board. You could just do a Roster thread for it, and let people in the sign up choose military or civilian.

It could definitely give us a little more diversity, which would only serve to make us stronger as a whole.

Well we definitely need a board for the businesses Sign ups can include a civilian sign up portion to but that would have to be handled by Subgroups leaders. to be posted and for them to put up there Ideas. Hell we could also have competitions for there tech which would make it into mainstream faction use.

As for the Board re-do is still on standby waiting for the faction think tank to be done.

Does your character control MandalMotors or do you control MandalMotors OOC? I read your character profile before submitting the application here and I didn't find any mention of it, so that's why I went ahead and posted. I realize that you have been contributing in an OOC capacity for some time now. I'd like to contribute in an IC capacity: not just submitting new starship, vehicle, and weapon profiles, but actually role-playing their development, construction, testing, and marketing. While your efforts have been much more focused on military applications, I'd like to use my new character to target the civilian market and bring in a profit to fund the Mandalorian war machine as well as produce the occasional warship.

I am hoping to find somewhere/something to play with my Mando and then I will link that too. How will that work RP wise if I am a Private and then suddenly a Sergeant? Can I assume Seageant but then be demoted if you deem me 'not safe' enough?
