Ordo's Training

[Niner]

Ordo walked over to the crate, peering into it he saw so many different blasters his head started spinning. Looking around he saw two that caught his eye. Pulling both out he looked back at the General, "So do you mean rifle," he raised the light but powerful echani made blaster rifle, "Or do you mean long range in general," he hefted the other weapon, a large gattling gun that could but out about one thousand rounds a minute, "'Cause I really hope you mean long range in general."

 

[Johnnysaurus Rex]

Shane raised his hand and noted the large expanse of the warehouse like structue they were in.

"Any range will work in here. I'm letting you choose what you are good at so we can work on your lesser abilities later."

 

[Niner]

Ordo smiled, "Thank you General." He tossed the echani blaster back into the crate and hefted the heavy cip-quad reapeating blaster in his arms. He gazed down on it, cradling it like he would a child, "It's made by Mer-Son, almsot as good as my own one," He looked back up at the General, almost as if he had been startled out of his own world of guns and other kit, "anytime General."

 

[Johnnysaurus Rex]

Shane walked over to the wall and revealed a small control panel. After dialing a few commands he closed the panel and turned to Ordo.

"In a minute there will be targets moving around down range. The computer system in the training room will calculate your hit probability when completed. Keep shooting until ALL targets are nullified."

 

[Niner]

Ordo hefted the gun and waited for the targets to appear. The holoimages soon flickered into life and it seemed that Ordo was surrounded by an army made up of Republic soldiers and Jedi. Keedping his gun at hip level he spotted a large cluster of soldiers around a Jedi. Pressing his finger down on the firing stud he sent blaster bolts strafing across their position and cutting them down. He watched the images flicker out of existence as his shots hit them. He then proceeded to take about one minute to blast the rest of the onehundred or so targets that were scattered around the room at different ranges. The closer ones he never missed. However, due to the nature of his weapon, the not so acurate blaster bolts missed the far away targets more often then not. After finishing off the targets he turned back to the General,
"Well General, how did I do?"

"Not bad Rookie. I've never trained too many 'gunners' in my time but I must say that this is pretty good. Is there any other blaster weapons you would wish to improve in. Say... shotguns or sniper rifles?"

 

[Niner]

Ordo thought for a moment, "Well General, I never have been good at sniper work. One reason is that I think it's dishonerable to kill from that much of a distance, and two I just don't have the patience for it. So shotguns are good. Close and personal. I was taught by my father that to be a soldier you had to be willing to get dirty. To kill from a kilometer away isn't warefare. Thats why I favor melee combat you see." He paused for a moment as if thinking, "Oh and if it's possible, rocket lanuchers and other explosive projectiles would be nice too. I love explosions." Ordo grinned when he said that.
